    I wish THIS GENTLEMAN was representative of ALL the Schneider trainers. I've spoken to TWO new Schneider drivers (one with a little experience, one right out of trucking school with a new CDL). They had the same guy in Indianapolis. As a former corporate trainer myself, I was stunned at the 1. Lack of patience and, 2. the obvious inability to teach the student with a positive message as well as his own wisdom. If that trainer had the natural easy going wisdom of Henry, drivers would learn better and faster.

    • @johnmagill7714
      @johnmagill7714 Год назад

      You're right. There are so many in this industry that should not be trainers. Most just don't had the right personality for it. Every single student is totally different. Some pick it up right away, some do right away requiring little to no supervision. Others require a lot of extra effort, maybe even training time extended. The key to being a good trainer is adapting to each individual student. But so many only care about collecting that extra pay being a trainer.

      Thanks, this is my main concern. When I've done long drives in the past in my car, I would always take a 10 min break about every 1 hour to be honest, wondering if they'd see this as acceptable. 10 hours of driving straight with only one 30 minute break seems like it'd take an incredible amount of stamina mentally for a new driver..

    • @lknanml

I don't think I will have any issues as I really do enjoy driving machines but you never know until you've had a go at the long hours.

I drove buses for a year and a half, but we'd always get these long breaks, so not sure how tractor trailer is gonna be. 10 hours a day driving for me is fine if I've got plenty of breaks, I'd love to be out alone and get to nap multiple 3 hours rather than one long 8-9 hour sleep at night, trainer probably will want it to be a straight shot there with only a few breaks I'm guessing though.

    I have a question when y’all train these new drivers you guys don’t tell them to ride that middle lane right? That’s a freaking hazard especially when your truck doesn’t even run but 60 miles an hour I hope you guys are telling them to merge when they need to and get back in the slow lanes and not hold up traffic in the middle lane

    I’m newly licensed and starting my career w/Schneider in 1.5 weeks. What can you tell me is maybe the most misinterpreted part of professional driving, and/or being a professional woman driver? In other words; what do you often hear folks say “oh, really? I thought______” (fill in the blank). Thanks and cheers!
