      Scarey thought cause she introduced her self as a instructor and me as a rookie driver picked several of key components she missed as far as making sure your skid plate on 5th wheel is properly greased 🤦‍♂️ and that's only 1 of many she missed . Hopefully I get a more educated instructor when I go 🤷

    You go way above and beyond what is required to pass the CDL. Allot of these things aren't required for the exam. But still I guess it's good to know.

    • @tcli9725

      There's more to the pre-trip inspection other than the exam. Should be done before every trip. This maybe how Prime would like their drivers to complete their pre-trip inspection.

    Something to think about, I am a former safety director of heavy haul coal trucking company. We had a fatality accident from a driver who used a hammer on a tire that ruptured and killed him instantly. PLEASE DO NOT KICK OR BEAT A TIRE, THEY WILL BLOW. Think about this if that cap was loosened on the last trip and you hit it at the right spot and it flies out or off you are the weakest link in that chain. If it tears up trailers then what is it going to do to you.

      @Dennis Leavitt cool, a DMV isn't going to employ you. And when you're employed you do it the companies way, not the DMVs way. Each company and state have different rulings on how things are taught and done.
      Not trying to argue. Just saying. I'm presently a truck driver and things are not clear cut and easy if u intend to remain legal and compliant with dot.

    • @okie1630
      @okie1630 2 года назад

      @@laxus7172 dot is there for you. Why not find company that complies with dot? dmv manual has really cool stuff in there and pretty vital stuff too. like you do not weld your rims. In the end of the day, if something happens company says - but look, he signed that everything was ok, its not our fault. Good luck.

    • @laxus7172
      @laxus7172 2 года назад +1

      @@okie1630 I mean, when you're working for a company you also have to abide by their standards and slo check whatever they want you to. Moreover, dot guidelines do vary per state most of the time and so it's better to be prepared for everything. Also dot doesn't even know what they really require so it can get confusing for new drivers.
