This is kinda frustrating, I mean great to see high settings but to do no testing at minimal settings or to for instance see what low at 1200p gets you on GTA would be helpful. It’s unrealistic to expect high settings without something more like an m1/m2 pro chip.
Otherwise nice video and editing. The setup is also very cool!

Its a 5nm chip not that crazy compared to nvidia 8nm, intel 10nm and amd 7nm chips.

I would definitely not buy a MacBook for gaming but I'm glad it can play a few games quite well 🕹
P.S. Crossover will give you better frame rates on GTA5 but it seems to have keyboard issues and it bugs when it comes to opening the launcher. But the VM will take fulll advantage of the chip.

Parallel is an interesting approach to using both Windows and Mac in one. I just made a video about my design setup using both operating systems….it’s tough trying to make both work, but I think I found a way that works for me! Great stuff Andres!
Since Windows 11 came out if you use Coherence mode the windows apps actually look really at home on the Mac desktop alongside Mac apps. Coherence mode is great if you just want to run the apps as if they’re running on the Mac, don’t ever need to see the Windows desktop if you don’t want

Idk if anyone pointed it out but in defence of minecraft nobody plays it at anything past 12-15 chunks which makes literally any computer struggle so u should be able to play at high graphics on 15 chunks cuz my 2014 Mac Pro has no issue with 60fps solid

yeah I wish that. But I for that Apple needs to get their sh1t together and make their APIs better and more functionable so the developers could integrate their games or other softwares to this Mac and reach its potential

Hey Andres, I am slightly surprised that your dongle actually works with MacOS Monterey. I was reading up on other locations, including Apple Community, that the Apple drivers need to be updated. Anyways, I am glad that it works, and I love this video!

I have a quick disclaimer for every one of you if you are planning to install the latest edition of windows the windows 11 you will get a decent decrease in terms of battery life . People with laptops having 4 hours actually dropped to about 2½ to 3 hours of battery life . Keep that in mind before installing it

The issue is RAM. You should have set 16gb instead of 8. You would have increased fps and stopped the stuttering.

Hey, I've got a problem. I need programs like photoshop/indesign/premiere pro so I have to buy apple. But I also want to play games and I don't have the money to buy two pc's xD
Is the M1 Macbook Pro the solution? I have high expactations on design and that these programs went well - but for gaming I only want to play Valorant or other f2play titles. I know to play games with low quality so I dont have much expactations.

use lunar client and the native version if you‘re interested in playing minecraft! You‘re going to get 300-500 fps when u use normal settings!
my m1 getting 150+ fps w/ lunar client, and I just limit fps to 120 for playing with 45-55 temp

Is the xbox controller plug n play with the new mac or do we need to install 3rd party software to make it work? I'm looking for a plug n play solution out of the box without the need for 3rd party software.
of course the games are gonna lag on parallels, try wineskin winery/crossover and see how well it runs ;)
The performance is pretty bad if you can’t run Skyrim at 60 maxed out. That game can be run on a toaster at this point. So it seems a dedicated gaming laptop is still your best bet.
