Looking forward to seeing you back there sifting through frozen gnats corpses, pulling out nuggets! Thanks for the video Gary.
LOL thanks for that mental picture, just made my day!
Nice😂😂😂👍
Two toes info is 100% experience !
Watching a self taught, successful prospector describing the geology of river rocks and the clues of what to look for while prospecting for Gold ???
This cannot be learned from books .
Every Video is Gold .
👍just my thought .
I concur 100%
This just means double the gold next time out. Thanks for the knowledge Gary!
I fish some of those places you go for gold at..but I will never say which ones because can't give up my fishing spots
LOL
I fish and I pan (if I know the claim status of where I am at) and I don't know who is scarier to run across, the miner on a hot streak or the fisherman that is stalking that same fish he has been stalking for years and is sure is in that pool. Either way, it works for me, I just move on because what I am really looking for is a nice place in the sun to nap and daydream the day away.
Sometimes a good fishin spot’s worth more than gold. 😂
One of the best comments I’ve ever seen on RUclips. Bless you
Gary, I’ve got the answer for your gnat problem. It’s called Buggins. It’s natural with no deet. Try it. Seriously, they don’t like it. The buffalo gnats here in Missouri are terrible certain times of the year and this stuff keeps them away. Good luck!
Will give it a try - thanks
Thanks for the information on the hand rake with a magnet. Going to make mine this week. Hey All, just remember it is hunting season. I went to hike to a panning site only to realize I have no orange vest or hat. I had to scrap my panning, I didn't feel like playing Bambi. There were a lot of hunters in the woods yesterday.
Regardless of whether you find gold your videos and your experience in the gold finding area are priceless. Thank you for another great video.
Watched your previous video and wished you had showed what drew your attention to that hillside. And sure enough, you make a video dedicated to it. Very pleasant surprise. Thank you!
Thanks for the information great stuff there boss
Thank you for this video. The hillsides have always intrigued me. Armed with this knowledge I'm ready to get at.
Knowledge knowledge and then more knowledge ! I have learned so much Gary watching your videos and detecting with you. Those knats suck. Thanks Gary 👍🇺🇸😎🍀✌️
Knats 1 Gary 0 LOL !!!!!
Well Gary, you’re the only guy I know who can make a detecting video informative and useful, even when you find just a pan full of nails. Always keep your eye on the rocks! Thanks for helping to educate us!
Lots of nails. I am always bewildered by man's involvement
They recently went deeper into the ocean than ever before, and lo and behold, they found a beer can.
Gary used to amaze me with his knowledge but now I just chalk it up to one smart guy who does his homework. Watching your videos always gives me ideas to try at my home creek and your knowledge helps me to be a better prospector. If you are ever looking to adopt a 50 year old I’m available...just saying 🤣🤣🤣. Always a pleasure to watch you explore!
I’m ok with a lead and nails video.
I learned quite a bit can’t wait to apply it.
The best things I’ve learned from your videos are practicality and what clues to look for in the quest for gold.
Much obliged.
clearing Nails from this site getting ready to find more Nuggets !!!!!!
And you know right where he cleaned it up :-)
@@davebudlong7860 I helped clear those Nails but I didnt find any Gold there yet !!!!!
@@Smithsgold sure you did Jeff, i saw Gary in the video, I saw Gary's haul of nails and garbage, but I missed the part where Jeff was cleaning up the hillside :-)
@@davebudlong7860 he didn’t film that part I only worked there a bit and then I headed on down the creek to move boulders
Jeff, You've said you always beat Gary in the nail department. Now the truth comes out. But I still love you man!! Never give up!!
the nats were bothering me too, so i moved down to the river, a small breeze down there was a bit of a relief from them buggers, nice video , a magnet is a must !! thankyou.
I don’t remember the gnats being so bad but I sure remember all those nails!!
Ill always remember that that look you gave me when you saw me digging without a magnet🧲
lol ...Lesson learned.....
now I need to find me one a good one ☝️
You need a magnet to get the nails out of the way for me! lol
U definitely make a good teacher! Thank u 👍
GOOD GOLD ADVENTURE.
THE BITING KNATS GOT IN THE WAY, BUT YOU GOT THE BASICS ACROSS. NICE OUTCROPPING OF QUARTZ. I CAN IMAGINE WHAT THE CROSS SECTION WOULD LOOK LIKE - NICE GOLD VEINS.
Thanks 👍 For the great info Gary 😊 Heavy Pans
Gary, this is what seperates you from all the others.
You have an inquisitive nature and through your experience can now confidently put the puzzle pieces together.
Ypu do so in a way that other inquisitive men and women can clearly understand.
Your determined nature to "figure it out"
And then share with us os your trademark.
You are wonderful to watch and learn from..
Your like a best friend and I haven't even met you!!
Thank you, for being "You".
God Bless.
Thank you Gary for taking the time to share your knowledge.
Thank you Gary very informative. I will use this information here in southern Arizona. Stay safe!
Timing is everything !
Thanks for sharing another Two Toes adventure!
✌️
i see what your saying as the river cuts it's way through. it could leave deposits of gold around the rocks. and on the hillside. cool. thank you gold master gary
Wonderful tips Gary, thank you! Lots of nuggets are waiting for you this winter.
Anytime outdoors is an amazing day! We just love all the info you give out. Thanks so much! Cant wait to see the next adventure 😁😁⛏⛏🍻🍻
🤘 2 Toes and some ☕️
Gary’s day = Nails , gnats and lead ?
My day watch’n him??? envy
Thanks 😊
What's Jeff raking in today? Did Gary still beat him?
@ Moto Mining, Jeff is the pinch hitter in their friendly competition , he has on occasion found gold while Gary collected gnats and nails ? LOL 😂
✌️
@@MOTOMINING I cleared a few nails for him at that site !!!!
@Smithsgold ....Nails , bolders and equipment LOL 😂
I really enjoy your enthusiasm and adventures. Thank You😊
Thanks for the instructions, I really love watching you, Dan Hurd and Chris from vogus, you guys all do a great job explaining the how and why, better luck next time with the bugs :-)
Thanks for making your videos and like seeing your channel grow!
Those are really big nails. I sure enjoy watching your videos. I learn every time from a great miner. Thanks Gary. I can't wait to see the next video. Great video.
Man, your videos are amazing! Thank you very much. And I also love the music. You have my sub 💪🤠
Great tip with the magnet, now I want to go back to a trashy mining camp and detect alot more😁
Good morning Gary .
Thanks for the tips. Always educational!
Best video I have seen in looking for gold on a mountain side. Thank you.
Good morning, from Portugal
Great info, learned something yet again, big thanks, love the channel.
Learned a lot and had fun. Thanks Gary!
Awesome tip about the magnet on the digging tool, I will be doing that for sure🙂
A little late for the class today but as always very interesting Gary! Thank you for sharing your knowledge with us.
Thanks! Love your informative videos
Thanks Gary, very informative - cheers.
A really great explanation Gary, JC and I were trying to look at an area and think what would Gary look for and it ended up paying off for both of us lol. We each found a lil chuck with the detector that day. The area feels really similar to me in many ways to this spot, there is channel on the hill, really big stuff and drift mines into it below on the river. We have yet to detect the hillside but I'm thinking there is gold in the fluff possibly like this this location. Gotta get you up there some time to help us understand it better.
Good video Gary, you'll cleanup the gold after the weather cools...!
Another Excellent video. Thank You for sharing your hard earned knowledge.
Just like a magnet increases your productive time, a long sleeve shirt and a bug head net would increase your detecting efficiency by at least 100%
Thanks for the info on how to read the lay of the land and how to determine the water flow!
Very, very good tutorial video. I'd love to have you come to my claim and analyze the ground. Thanks for the video. 🇺🇸👍😎⛏
Great knowledge as always! Thanks
Excellent trip prospecting glad to hear u will be back the gold could be the next target u hit that’s prospecting
Great information, thank you for sharing your knowledge!
good show gary as always
Great information Gary
Thanks again for the lessons. I have learned a lot from you. I have a detector, trommel and recirculating system to use in AZ 👀👍⛏🤠
Thanks for all the knowledge.
That old river bed looks tasty now if you can find the pay streak... do you ever map the nuggets you find ? It’s a good way to see a possible deposit line also does that channel come out the other side of the hill anywhere? Thx for sharing great information there see you on the next one👍🏻👊🏻
great info fam. GOLD SQUAD OUT!!!
Sweet vid m8, be checking those hill sides around me now, got a few channels with big bolder slides. Great advice. Cheer, HnC
Learned something new again, thanks.
Good work sir, wonderful and informative.
Thanks Gary
✌️PT
Good to see ya Gary 🍺
Well, I know that spot, great lesson, Gary... Clearing out those nails good, now get Jeff to move some of those larger rocks and I am sure you will find another nugget or two there...
I like that idea!
@@TwoToes I knew you would like that !!!!
Thanks for the good tips.👍
Nicely done!
Thanks for all your great videos, Gary. You might also discuss how ancient stream channels (eocene in age) occur in the sierra for hundreds of miles running east-west and in places north-south direction, but it's the tertiary stream channels that cross gold veins that carry detectable gold.
Thanks for sharing your knowledge.
Nails ‘n gnats, but you’re still smilin’! 👍😄
And thinking about going back!
So the area I'm from we fish the gulf of Mexico and we say a bad day of fishing is better than a good day of work. For me it means if your doing what you love shoot you already won. I think you were a winner that day.
Happy Birthday 🎇 Gary
Thanks for sharing key info! We all know how hard gold can be to find. Knowing where to start on hillsides and what to look for is helpful! Those darn gnats! I always bring a light hoodie because they chew my ears up til they itch and bleed! Lol have you ever detected San gabriel east fork high benches and old channels? Joe gold
Good observing video. Thank you.
Very informative 2 toes 👍🏻 thankyou for sharing!
Hey partner Jon here from, you guess it Vancouver Island. Next few days I'll be working the GB on hill side, see if I can read it. Thanks Partner
Sorry you went home empty handed but you knowledge is priceless. Have you ever tried those fly nets that go over your head to keep the gnats away?
A nice day out fresh air 👏👏🍻
God damn gnats and nails! We have the midge and its a bad thing when your in one place trying to do anything. For the size of them they don't half have a bad bite and hang around in huge swarms so unless you have a net over your head you have to put up with them or get out of there😂👍 will be good to see just how much gold there is in that hillside. Great video man💛😉
Thank you. Good advice...
Good job on the nail scratches, not gonna help ya beat the pants off Jeff in the gold search, but you got a good run on him now so keep it up and good luck... I seen them finds on Jeff's channel...
Awesome knowledge thankyou
Two Toes I can see that you're as sure footed as a Mountain Goat on your logo.
I am always learning from your vids, nice work Mr.Gary.
I'm on a very high bank, (no less than 400 feet above the river) there are some gravels there, but more rock is rogh than smooth. The defining feature of my claim is quartz float. some of it very large, right on the surface. Should I follow the quartz, or follow the gravels? So far I've found more gold sweeping my house!
Interesting question .
Hope he gives an answer , he has showed gold baring specimens from his shop display cases of mineralized quartz ?
✌️
@Moto Mining
You said it best in ur last video? “ It’s a dogs life being a prospector “😂 as a prospector sniff’n crevices and wandering the beautiful forest ??? Best of a dogs life ! 🤔
✌️
Thanks for sharing
I wear a head net because those gnats love eyes and ears!! Grrrr. Thanks for the vid Gary.
We get march flies or horse flies whatever you like to call them and some of them bite you real good. No lasting stinging but bloody annoying.
now i know why you stopped there.
Hi Gary, best greets from good old germany to California. You're my best teacher in digging for Gold over here. Question: what a kind of magnet do you use? Do you have link, where we could get such a strong magnet?
Places like that detecting in Colorado if with a water source we would set up the highbanker found good gold.
I wana see move of the helicopter in the lead-in / begining ;)
Thanks again
For nats vitamin B12 it leaches through U'R skin. Helps keep them from bitting. 2 put U'r HAT ON backwards THEY go for shade.
THAT was helpful!👍🇺🇸
I'm definately making one of those magne-claw diggers!! Nails are such a pain in the butt.
Yes, but they can be made into fishing weights!
Thank you!
You have a lot of experience in prospecting for gold sir, I am happy to have help from people like you.I want to know that if a land is rich in iron, is it possible that there is also gold in it?
Awesome stuff dude I love watching your show man. Just wondering if you ever seen any other prospector out there that watches you or you tuber? Lol
Every now and then I will come across someone out prospecting that recognizes me.
Two Toes awesome dude!!
Magnets are a good idea mate as is a Wide Brimmed Mesh Fly Hat.
Too bad about the gnats Gary. Thanks for sharing.
