Dear Mr. Honan, in these troubled and uncertain times, you are an oasis of peace and calm, thank you for that! Gr. from Holland
I always chuckle when you say, " you guessed it, yeah it's the next day."
LOL
Dang! You gave away the ending before I had a chance to watch it!
@@Luminousgrin lol I'm so sorry.
LOL These comments make my day!
Whenever it's not the next day I tell everyone in my house like I won a lottery
Gary, I gotta say that you definitely are the best RUclips gold prospecting teacher, period, and I have put more of your shared wisdom to use than all the other resources combined. Watching this video reminds me that you’ve already made a lot of what you shared a normal part of my scouting routine and it definitely has all strengthened my overall prospecting game. Thank you very much for sharing your wisdom and adventures with all of us these past couple/few years and I truly hope your health and intestinal fortitude to defy aging, will get us all another 30 years with you shooting videos out in the field!
Agreed.
Flour gold Wizards, I just discovered your videos a few months ago and definitely enjoy watching you chase that fine gold in Wisconsin. I have a friend in Wisconsin and you talk just like him or he does like you, you’re older😁. I enjoy so many RUclips gold personalities but you gotta admit, Gary covers all the grounds and does it in a way like he’s one of your uncles trying to have you enjoy the adventure without being too “teachy” but at the same time giving you too much info to retain all at once, lol, so you gotta keep hanging with him. Please know that I admire your notion of feeding that can all this time for one lucky person after 7000👍👍
Thanks - I'm in northern California, to cold in Wisconsin for this old guy!
Yes Timothy, I feel he's taught me skills that would have taken years to figure out on my own.
Your still the no.1 of good instructive vods for newby prospective 'prospectors' ! Give your self a big 👏👏👊
Its so cute to watch from places like Norway and comparing your "small tiny pieces" to my dust particles that i carefully pan out and care to transfer into my glass. I am very long way away from enough for a ring, but one day I will give it to my wife.
I love the real world perspective you give. “There goes my hero he’s ordinary.” You have an unencountered friend in me Mr. Toes
I'm a Rockhound so even if you don't find gold, and you just explain how to read the gravel in the pan I will be more than glad to watch it!
good show gary love your channel keep up the amazing work
I said you've tought 10 times more than anyone else it's more like 1000 times more. Again, sincerely thank you so much.
My favorite is “you guessed it, next day” you could slap that on a shirt haha
Never a disappointing video when it comes to gold on this channel even if your not happy with the results. It would be a good day for me.😂👍💛
Id love to have this guy as a grandpa. So much valuable information to learn and wisdom to share.
Hi, Gary. I truly don't get why you don't have a million + subs. We've followed you for some time now and are never disappointed. Keep "Golding", pilgrim.🇨🇦❤️🙂
Another lesson learned. ....
1. Drink more water.
2. Carry spare Batteries .
Thanks Gary,
Always a pleasure.
Another old guy, up in Washington
LOL
Got to watch that heat Gary ! It’s that time of the year, morning metal detecting afternoon sniping to beat the heat. Hope fishing is going well ! 👍🇺🇸😎🍀✌️
I even had a another pair of shorts he could have put on !!!! wouldn't that have made a great picture !!!!
No one wants to see a old man in over size shorts. lol
@@TwoToes hahaha are you sure???
@@TwoToes Gary you got that wrong, nobody wants to see an old man in speedos.
@@kalidilerious LOL
There aren’t many places around Wisconsin with fabulous looking bedrock like that but its nice to have your insight in case something comes along. Jeff had it made in that water! You’re right about the water too, its very easy to work right through a needed water break!!
Stay safe Gary 👍🏻✌️
yes I did !!!!!! much cooler
Hi. Good info about the black sand. Would think that would be the same here in Australia. Will put that to the test when we get out of stage 4 lockdown and are aloud to travel again.
Glad to hear from you Gary.
Thank you. I always enjoy your adventures and usually learn something 😎
Hey Gary. I grew up in Paradise. Now I live in Utah. There isn't any gold in Utah. So I make a trip to the Klamath every year for a week. 5 of us are leaving tomorrow morning. Can't wait to get there and dip my pan in it. I love your videos. Always learn something new. Keep up the good work.
I got land on Indian Creek in Happy Camp and am retiring here…
@thewindyone5228 I'm actually here right now. Camping at the Big Foot RV park. Found some good gold today. Going back to the same spot tomorrow. I'm leaving Saturday. Come by and say hi. Look for a tent and two trucks with Utah tags.
Lots of good tips on what to look for in a creek bed. The course black sands as an indicator. Nice.
I've learned so much from your channel thank you for taking the time to film your adventures.👍🐍
This old man gets more gold getting lost than you ever will. Go clean your old lady's shoes hater.
You have shown us many times, thank you for doing video and taking yourself away from the prospecting. From what I've seen over a few years you are teaching 10 fold over what anyone else is doing. Thank you.
I only wish I could have a bad day of only 2.02 grams of gold. Keep yourself hydrated, Gary! I love your t-shirt and thank you for the video.
Good video, Gary. Yeah you need to stay hydrated my friend... Be careful and keep them coming.
nice gold,,, that river is so nice,,,, so clean,,so lucky to get to swim there
Always great information!!! Yeah it wasn't a half oz day but those were still some nice pieces. Always enjoy watching you and Jeff compete out there. Much love from over here in Lake county.
You and Jeff are slowly cleaning all the gold out of your area. Before long there's only going to be flood gold left. You could borrow Jeff's umbrella.
I had it with us too !!!!!!
Thanks for the black sand tip Gary. Now I understand why I usually only get flakes and fines. Very informative.
Gary must really be enjoying the new SDC detector an awful lot to not get in the water on a hot day and do some sniping.
Another great video. Hadn't seen a new one for a bit. Glad to see your doing well.
Been super busy and now I'm fishing - you may have to make one for me!
I don't watch these videos for the gold porn (okay yes I do). This is the best video i have ever seen on reading gravel. That is solid gold!
Ty for everything you do to teach everyone how to find gold and other things
Great day finding Gold and Playing in the water !!!!! don't forget to always stay hydrated !!!!!! and bring an Umbrella
We did! lol
Don't forget to bring a towel
You need a backup battery for the SDC. Very nice gold
Been watching your videos for a couple years now steady Gary. Never have gone this far back before though that I remember. 👍🏻💰🇺🇲
Jeff got me laughing a few times. The rock throwing and how he carefully buried your first piece of gold 😂
You got to keep an eye out when Jeff's hucking rocks, he doesn't just move them out of the way - he wants them gone!
Other than the heat I think you had a wonderful day, I'm in the Seattle area and I haven't found not even a tenth of a gram, so you did terrific!
Good job Gary. 2 grams is awesome, but I hope you have a few more half ounce days before winter hits. That SDC should help your odds.
Can’t complain about that gold👍🏻 and you’ll get used to that detector soon enough the sound it makes for gold is either high to low tone or low to high tone with iron being the opposite (I can’t remember which is which you can test it at home) but it helps with identifying the rubbish thx for sharing see you on the next one 👊🏻
Good finds Gary! Glad your new detector is working for you! Any time I go home with 2 grams or more is a good day! Now let's see how that thing works when you spend the whole day in the river! Knowing your work, combined with good luck which we all need along with skill you'll probably do very well! Good luck man! Joe gold
Very informative and entertaining as always! ⛏️
Once again, wonderful information Gary! Thanks for always sharing and taking us with you. It’s been Hot and Humid in Iowa too.
Great info mate, although I live in an area of Australia with next to no gold there is nothing I enjoy more than walking creeks and checking gravels. Most creeks dry but take samples and pan out to understand heavy material.
Please keep posting mate.
More Real Good Graces Keep Flowing and Absorbing on Everybody.
We’re very grateful, we love your videos. Thank you so much for taking the time to share this information. Without people like you the practice would be lost to history! Keep up the awesome videos!
Another great vid. I hope you’re safe over there in the 🔥 area!
I am! I'm on the coast fishing!
Two Toes great place to be when the woods are burning 🥵!!!
Hi Gary,
Try the Grayl Geopress water filtration system. You can use it to drink the water from the river as it will filter out quite a bit.
I really like mine and it has been working well.
I enjoy watching your videos and learning a lot.
I *always* learn something from your videos. Stay safe and keep filming! Thank you!
Thank you for the video Gary. I have heard that gold fever can cause odd behavior like staying in the hot sun.
Always great information Gary, thank you for sharing your knowledge.
Cooler weather coming and the gold will be looking for you to warm them up. Keep doing what you're doing. I enjoy your videos. 👍👍😎
Thanks for the video Gary
dehydration is nothing to disregard...i ended up in the er due to not staying hydrated...if you can't bring along bottled water, at the very least, get a filter straw...good luck and keep up the good work...
Cool another great video to watch👍😉 Areet Gary and Geoff.
I’m sure you’re going to get into half ounce days again, then again if I had your day in this video I’d be more than pleased. Love watching your channel because of your knowledge and I find you and Jeff entertaining. You make a great point about rock colour and weight as I have found some really nice gold with the super heavy rocks. The comment about the bigger black sands is helpful too. Take care out there 👍
Thanks for showing us more about gravels!
I Always like following you around and listening to you explain the “ looks” in the gravel..!
As always you’ve taught me so much
Even the tips on blacksand are pro tips that most people don’t recognize!!
Looks like your back from your fishing trip
See ya in October :)
See you in Sept. - I hope!
Be careful with that dehydration Gary. When I was working blacktop it was usual to drink 1 gallon of water or more while at work. Gotta remember to drink H2O. Take care and good luck. JJ
Great video as always. I notice you are using a MinLab SDC 2300 detector. Are they in your store? I am Beale AFB and have had luck on the South Yuba. I am thinking of going further north and East. Also, what about poison Ivy/Oak? A lot of it?
Awesome find guy's, Keeping the dream alive
Recently found your channel. I appreciate your videos. Keep up the good work!
Congratulations on 40,000 subscribers!
Thank you!
I'm so glad you make these videos thank you so much you're very helpful
the metal detector picked up those little pieces ?! that's amazing
Dobrá práce.Rád koukám na tyhle zajímavá videa.Jsou pro mne poučením a inspirací.Díky 👍.
any day on the creek is a good day.
Nice gold Gary. You got to stay out of the sun. It really kicks my butt. Great video stay safe
Two Toes knows where the gold goes.
Congratulations on the pretty gold 🤩
You should nickname your detector R2D2. It’s talking but what’s it sayin? Always super videos! Thanks 👍
Right on... i never hear Jeff talk
THX G U ALWAYS HELP AND REMIND
Bigfoot throwing rocks at ya two toes!
lol
On dehydration; wirh a Sawyer life straw you can drink straight from the creek
Good job Gary, as always. Will you be meeting up with all the guys in September for that get together? It would be awesome to meet you in person 😁🤙👊
What about Jeff's haul? Boy, that water looked great. Hoping we can get you in the water for sniping hunts soon.
real sweet trip but you have to take care of your self
What's the story of that hillside from months ago that was seemingly littered with gold? Videos to come?
I hope to get a lil gravel class when I’m out there, some good info brother. 🤙👍✌️
Your like me , your not getting any younger old goat , so don't overdo it , i got really run down working and prospecting , ended up getting shingles , and i can tell you , you don't want that man , take care and stay safe . Jeff had the right spot in the water , lol . cheers , out .
What brand of pry bar are you using? Great, informative video.
Estwing gad pry bar.
NICE JOB Guys!! CONGRATS to both of you on getting the GOLD!! NamVetLesTreasureSeeker.
Yeah beautiful morning with more gold
Gary bring some insulated bottle of water !!!
Мы тоже хотим копать золото
Hello from Northern Alberta. Love your stuff here on youtube. Thany ou.Still collecting info and tools. Haven't been out yet. How important is the weather, the rains, and the dry patches and maybe even areas of the countryside that are expecting unusual or "new" dry weather? - is this something you pay attention to?
You gotta get in the water man that's where those big nuggets are waiting for you! Some deep water scuba diving would be great to see!!!
Hey Gary! 🤙🏼So good to see a video from you. Glad you're doing well with nature🌲. You think you've found your weight in Gold yet lol? Good hunting Gary, great to see ya!
Do you think there's value in having a pin pointer with you like a Garret carrot? It seems to me like that might come in handy.
I'm sure it could be, but I have enough stuff to carry around. lol
Great video with plenty of good sense and logical information,
I am in Northern Nevada not far away fron Nor Cal and plenty of gold also, but the issue I have is there is "NO WATER" to pan the gold with.
is there an effective way to get fine dust gold out of sand without water ? , If you know a way please do a video on the subject because dry panning is painfully ineffective not to mention labor intensive compared to wet panning.
Thanks again
Gary, thanks for a great post and advice as always. I was curious if you could share information on the adapter plug you use between your headset and the Minelab? I haven't been able to find one yet that works, so I'd appreciate a link or other information. Many thanks in advance, and please keep up the great postings!!
Mr. Gary, maybe one day you can have an outing with your subs and turn it into a party or picnic type setting . BBQ too?
BBQ - now your talking!
COUNT ME IN,HURRY PLEASE
au-some video gary !!
This is great information. Great video my friend 👍
Beat the heat and dive deep..... Even the best of veteran gold seekers get caught up in things
hope the fishing went good after looking at the show I think jeff is having a good on you
Very inspiring video! Thanks! I’m finding fine gold on a river near me. It’s slipped under the radar as it’s not well known gold country. Is there anyway to determine if larger gold can be found on this river? Or would it be only gold fines? Thanks
Can you do on about riversluices? How fine cincentrate you shold sluce etc
Wow, sweet video m8! 😎 Cheers 🍻 Heidi n Conan
Real nice nugget I would call it. Flat flake indeed lol. Gota keep the water going in, gold fever dries you out. 😂😂😂 Over 2 grams is an AMAZEBALLS day m8s. Cheers! 🍻 Heidi n Conan
I’m heading up to Sac next month and will be prospecting a few days. Do you offer guided trips by chance?
