Good practical advice there Gary, especially first removing the bottle beneath your sleeve. For me, it's not the price of gold, but the excitement of sniping it. Finding a gram or more could take hours; in very cold water, taking long hours makes for a very good night's sleep at the end of the day by the campfire. Thank you Gary for inspiring my preteen girl and her best friend. It pleases me so much when we hand down our knowledge to young learners. All the very best!

Another great video! If I could share one thing from a bad experience I had. When in the field, always use plastic vials. More than once I have dropped a glass vial, and broke it. Not such a big deal if you are getting bigger pickers, but it can ruin your day if you drop a vial with very fine gold. I drill a hole in the plastic vial cap then epoxy a small stainless steel eyebolt. This will allow you to attach a piece of paracord so you can wear it around your neck. Thanks for taking the time to put out some very cool videos!

Some things lying around I set aside or pick up for crevices, old pain roller handles, you can bend them the way you want. Don't worry about the end not being flat, it'll flatten on it's own, you can grind them too.

I was also happy to see this video today, but Gary and everyone, I need to share what happened to me today directly after watching this video. Even though I live in the middle of the city, Tucson Az. I was triggered that much that I got my pick and knife and metal detecter and went to my local wash which now goes under the mall, and I searched for maybe some good sand under the big rocks in the wash! Now we did have a bunch of rain the last two days and this wash was probably 2 foot high of water yesterday, but today is just a big pool of water next to the concrete. anyway I was finding trash but my labrador was loving the water and I even noticed a fresh quarter or something shining back heavy in the sun that was at the bottom of this pool. So I stayed for awhile, found nothing and almost forgot about the quarter so right before I leave I grab the coin. Wow! It was what appeared to be a brand new coin, I'll show you as I will make a video about this tonight, but it was a 1915 French Gold Coin! A small one just over 1/10th Oz but OMG! It appears to be in perfect condition and it was so bright nobody could have missed it! Wow! So Gary, You literally got me fired up so much I went on an impossible gold search and I came home with a 1915 gold coin within a hour and a half!

That's brilliant!, and can I just point out after commenting on this in another of Gary's videos - You evidently **can't** downvote everyone equally on YT. I just tested you; I upvoted then downvoted, and it DID affect your rating when I downvoted you; I left it at upvote : ) I recently observed that you can't downvote everyone; In conjunction with noticing someone sneakily UNsubscribed me from Gary's videos, that''s both suspicious, & alarming. You can't downvote Josef Prusa?? Why the hell not. ("ELECTORAL VOTE") At least inn the USA you get to keep your Finds. The Crown takes everything here (albeit paying "Fair Market Value" for it)...

Years ago, when we were mining on the Yuba river, I came into camp and there was a rattlesnake next to our stove. I took a stick and flip him into the creek. I figured by the time he get out of the water he will be far enough down stream we won't have to worry about him. I had no idea my brother was standing in the middle of the creek panning about 75 yards down stream. Iater that evening he was telling us about this rattlesnake that came swimming by him. I asked him how much he had to drink - rattlesnakes don't swim down rivers.
