In my radio DJ days back in 1968,I was backstage hanging around when Waylon walked up to me and asked if there was a coffee shop nearby. I replied there was and he said "Well, let's go get a cup". As we started out the door, a very distinctive voice rang out "Where'r you fellows going?" We told him and he said "Wait for me". So there I was in the coffee shop with Waylon and Tex Ritter, Waylon complaining that Chet Atkins wouldn't let him do what he wanted and Tex telling him to relax, he had records on the charts and getting the good tours and should enjoy it. It is one of my favorite memories!
This is one example of what a wonderful library of quality music is created by Utube, with the songs of the life of Glen Campbell as a stellar example. Now anyone that can sing and play, keep singing these contemporary classics for yourself and others live, and let the chill go down your spine! Don't just listen, if you can, sing and play with others more!
Once the last of these great journeymen musicians die off, they’ll never be replaced again and sadly missed. They all were perfectionist and very much dedicated to to writing and singing the greatest songs ever recorded. Thank you very much and God speed to you all. . . 🙏🏻😊❤️
iIt really surprises me how fantastic a guitar player Mr. Campbell is. I only knew of his songs and voice, but he must be rated as one of the finest guitarist ever.
Rock legend , Alice cooper Has said he's the best Guitarist he's seen and so have said other legend Guitarists. You can look the interview up on you tube,

Glen was my idol when i was just a kid my brother helped influence me glen has an amazing talent i was absolutely blown away from his voice and guitar self taught skills, again amazing musician and a very kind human being rip glen and yes you were WAY UNDERRATED Dammmmmmm!!!!
Yes Glen Campbell was never given the recognition he deserved! He was an awesome musician, could play damn near any instrument there was....even the bagpipes!!!! Lol Guitar, mandolin, fiddle, harmonica.....I could go on & on!!! Plus he had an awesome voice to boot! I guess he kinda' had that little boy look in early times....until he got with Tanya! ROFL!!! Ooo, Waylon was something else God bless his soul🥰My husband and I stopped by the Mesa City Cemetery and left Waylon a tribute or two. He’s just down the road a spell.🍻
No denying the talent but he definitely screwed over some fans along the way with his late/no shows-I was one of them at a CLE concert in the mid to late 70s. Still definitely like his music and listen to it often.
Priceless clip, sad to see Waylon and Glen so fresh here and passed a few years now such talent, being a big Stones fan I am familiar with the song Bob Wills is still the King💎👍
Here again ... just can't help coming back. Waylon's infectious humour always brings a smile to my face and makes me laugh. What a legendary entertainer. They ain't makin' 'em like that no more.
God Bless every one of them..... Heaven sure is going to be busting at the seams with just so much talent when you consider just how much is up there to start with....
Thank you. Sidelight--I was the Country Music Queen of the Days of ’47 Rodeo in 1972 in Salt Lake City, Utah. Third largest parade in USA after Macy’s and Rose. I LOVED that Appaloosa--but that was a long ride waving at every cowboy on the route in the hot Utah sun! The country station was owned by Buck Owens. I used to have a watch-given to me by Buck-that showed Buck; his guitar handle was the hour hand, and arm was minute hand. Hell of a businessman--pretty nice guy!
Samuel Morado....Ooooh, Lucky for you🙋🏽♀️We payed tribute to Waylon at his grave. He’s in Mesa, AZ city cemetery, just down the road a spell. God Bless Glen & Waylon’s Souls.🎸🕊

OMGsh I'm so young. I missed all of these incredible shows! I hate that it took his recent documentary for me to discover how much I really enjoy Glen Campbell!
Waylon, you just sing when you get ready. The band will catch up. And I take no grief for the gap in the teeth. I think I am kin to you and Charlie pride! Happy Trails!
