The confidence boost that changing up my style brought was immense, I've ridden a positive high all day long and I'm so glad I'm starting to give a damn about how I look, rather than trying to hide my body under a hoodie 24/7. A big tip for you. Don’t dress your kid. Take him shopping with you and show him the videos that you watch. as a teenager myself i tend to sometimes not like clothes that my mom buy me.
I like to switch things up depending on the month/season. Like I’ll throw in a lot of red and green in December, and some natural tones as it gets towards summer

I wish the interwebs existed when I was entering HS, it may have helped me find some semblance of fashion...of myself, before I was 25. But, alas, HS was a baron wasteland for me, no girls, no nothing...well, I had nothing, but nothing beyond the nothing. I just now laced up my first pair of 1's, so now I'm likely the most fashionable dad in America...I know Europe's dad's are on another level, so I'll only claim America...& America's all that matters anyhow. To this day, I'm an incredibly boring dresser, though if you call me on it I'll say that my style is simply timeless....but no, it's simply boring. But no longer, now I'm a boring dad with Metallic Purples, & you better believe I've got them bow-tied, I don't see how you kids walk around in untied shoes...& for the love of all that is righteous in this world, pull your damn pants up & take that hat off, you're indoors!!

a tip for experimenting with different store while saving money is thrifting. be warned you're not always gonna find something amazing and if you go in looking for something specific 9 times out of 10 you'll be disappointed but hanging around a goodwill or local thrift shop and trying new styles and pieces is not only fun but allows for you to keep your style fresh. it's also great for the environment cause you're reusing old clothes. :)

You're so right on focusing on a certain collection, at first I mainly built up my shoe collection and now I'm to the point where I have so many that I don't buy as much as I used to. So now I've been getting more tops like sweatshirts and basic Ts cuz thats what I've really been lacking. Also your honestly so right brands don't really matter all that much, Now I will say I do like anything made by Champion bc I just prefer their stuff and its not crazy expensive if you know where to shop, places like Ross and Marshalls are the go to if you wanna find a champion hoodie or sweatshirt for $20 instead of $40-50. Love the videos man keep em comin.

Honestly I’ve constantly change my style every few months or year and I’ve been doing this since the end of my freshman year,and I must say that my style has improved since then . At my 1st year I didn’t actually care about how I looked and because of that I looked like a MFing 10 y.o. dweeb😂😂 . But at the end of year I got motivated to change how I look and so my style I guess became normal (normal sized Tshirt,jeans and if it’s cold a nice looking Dark colored hoodies) And thats how I looked until after Christmas on my 3rd year,and so once again I wanted to change my style . throughout the end of my 3rd year I “tried” to dress up as a soft boy mix with grunge aesthetic look on it,black colored sweater with white button down shirt under it and normal jeans and white Fila shoes. And that’s I looked until a week ago because I wanted to change my style again and because of that now before starting my 4th year my Current style I guess is one of those Asian street style with oversized Tshirts. But that’s only until when it gets cold ,for The cold season tho i bought a black denim jacket to match with My black sweater ,white oversized Tshirt under it,ash grey Skinny fit jeans and white shoes . Or if I wanted to look a little bit more sophistical I’m going to match it with Beige color hoodie and beige skinny fit jeans . I feel u with the confidence thing so like imma tomboy so I don’t wear girly clothes most of my clothes are just Nike athletic clothes that make me look like I’m going to the gym every day so now I want to step up my fashion by using some of these tips but I’m scared people will judge me for not dressing girly
You definitely shouldn’t trip if people judge you or not but I do understand the feeling. Eventually you won’t care but for now, build your confidence little by little by wearing a different type of piece every week, for example chain one week, new shoes the next, etc
Anyone in high school right now, don't try to seek validation. Don't overthink about your style. Spend more time at the gym rather than learning about fashion because having muscles and good body will make you look good in all clothes. At the end of the day, enjoy what you like to do but also step out of your comfort zone.
Alot of trends are just expensive. Like certain shoes or brands just pop at one moment, but its alot of money for all the items "per trend" so I'd just rock with who you are as a person. Like for example, I like sports, so just wear a sports related cloth item. Representing yourself over feelings and comparisons towards others floats your boat.

I’m going into my freshman year 5 foot 1 inch, so it’s kinda strange how everyone is at least 5 inches taller than me. I wear this type of stuff a lot and with some more looking around, found out I like black jeans. Thanks for the tips!

Honestly I’ve constantly change my style every few months or year and I’ve been doing this since the end of my freshman year,and I must say that my style has improved since then .
At my 1st year I didn’t actually care about how I looked and because of that I looked like a MFing 10 y.o. dweeb😂😂 .
But at the end of year I got motivated to change how I look and so my style I guess became normal (normal sized Tshirt,jeans and if it’s cold a nice looking Dark colored hoodies)
And thats how I looked until after Christmas on my 3rd year,and so once again I wanted to change my style .
throughout the end of my 3rd year I “tried” to dress up as a soft boy mix with grunge aesthetic look on it,black colored sweater with white button down shirt under it and normal jeans and white Fila shoes.
And that’s I looked until a week ago because I wanted to change my style again and because of that now before starting my 4th year my Current style I guess is one of those Asian street style with oversized Tshirts. But that’s only until when it gets cold ,for The cold season tho i bought a black denim jacket to match with My black sweater ,white oversized Tshirt under it,ash grey Skinny fit jeans and white shoes .
Or if I wanted to look a little bit more sophistical I’m going to match it with Beige color hoodie and beige skinny fit jeans .
Edit:Btw lol even tho I look “stylish” when I’m outside ,I still dress up as a 10 y.o. Dweeb at home because no one is going to see me anyways lol and I’m too lazy to look decent 😂😂😂.

I feel u with the confidence thing so like imma tomboy so I don’t wear girly clothes most of my clothes are just Nike athletic clothes that make me look like I’m going to the gym every day so now I want to step up my fashion by using some of these tips but I’m scared people will judge me for not dressing girly
You definitely shouldn’t trip if people judge you or not but I do understand the feeling. Eventually you won’t care but for now, build your confidence little by little by wearing a different type of piece every week, for example chain one week, new shoes the next, etc

Anyone in high school right now, don't try to seek validation. Don't overthink about your style. Spend more time at the gym rather than learning about fashion because having muscles and good body will make you look good in all clothes. At the end of the day, enjoy what you like to do but also step out of your comfort zone.

Alot of trends are just expensive. Like certain shoes or brands just pop at one moment, but its alot of money for all the items "per trend" so I'd just rock with who you are as a person. Like for example, I like sports, so just wear a sports related cloth item. Representing yourself over feelings and comparisons towards others floats your boat.
