Appreciate this man, i've been looking for something that i can on the fly adjust levels for personal audio & stream, just ordered myself one to possibly replace my goxlr Very in-depth review, much appreciated
Is there a way to upload mic effects? I bought this yesterday and the mic FX are meh and it would be cool if Roland had a store where you could buy certain voice files to upload into the software
I cant hear myself or anything i can see the music moving up and down also the mic moving up and down but i cant hear anything i do use a usb micrphone but i have a 3.5 jack plugged into bridgecast and my headset.
The Bridge Cast is ALMOST the perfect piece of gear for me. The one thing I wish it had was the ability to connect to two separate computers over USB. I am using a two PC streaming setup, and so currently I have mine hooked up to my gaming PC over USB so I can mix the audio, then use line out to record into my capture card. I still am able to mix the audio on the fly, but with respect to recording it only gives me the stereo mixdown to record. I suppose I could run Audacity or Reaper to record the multitrack audio on the gaming PC and then mix in post if needed, but it would be a nice QoL feature.
For dual pc setup, why not gone for Lewitt Connect if not go for Rode streamer X or Duo? Can´t understand why componies are not producing a device for dual setp. Another downside for me you can connect speakers only via ONE line out thats ridiculous in these days. how much gain does it have? Can´t find any information about. But as what I see its not even 60db I use a Presonus IO24, ok has no real knobs-faders but an awesome app on tablet for it and best half the price, decent speaker outputs for left and right! For the price I wouldn´t change to there are better option. The one and only really interesseting thing in the Bridge Cast is the extra EQ for game channel, thats cool features which I miss in any other device.
@@DieTabbi Admittedly I had never heard of the Lewitt Connect at the time. Maybe if I was shopping now I would have opted for it. Reading up for it, it seems to have the bulk of features I would want plus the key features I am really enjoying on the Bridge Cast, so maybe I should give that one a look. As for the Rode, I don't really need the video capture capabilities of it as I am running an ATEM Mini Pro, which offers me plenty of video capabilities. As for the gain on the XLR input of the Bridge Cast, I think it's either 72 or 75 dB. It can handle some pretty hungry mics and audio quality is fantastic.
Would voicemeeter have any purpose at all if you had the bridge cast? reason im asking is I have Voicemeeter as my source of sound control and how I hear due to a capture card needing it in order to use the sound.
how were the gaming EQ preset settings derived and for which headphone have they been made for? The headphone you wear will have an equally large effect on the sound as these EQ settings Without knowing the headphone that the sound is going to be reproduced over, there's no way of knowing whether a certain frequency range is overrepresented or underrepresented. The EQ settings shown on the bridge cast seem to imply that e.g. for Apex you need 3 dB more energy at 1.2 kHz, but the fact is that individual headphones differ by much more than 3 dB among each other, so you can not possibly make a statement like "every headphone needs 3 dB more". For some headphones you'll need 3 dB, for others you'll need 1 or 6 dB. For others you may even need -5 dB.
Very helpful. I just ordered this device. I currently have system sounds and my mic on a different source. I use filters on my mic, is that no longer needed with this mixer? How do you equalize your voice?
I'm about to lose my mind so please help me out! Is there a reason why when you separate Bridge Channels "MUSIC, GAME, etc" you are not able to manipulate the levels in OBS with the knobs? For example, I turn down volume on the system knob, it turns down the levels on the STREAM (bridge cast) but the levels on "MUSIC (bridge cast) don't change. I'm trying to separate the channels so that I can capture all sources individually and remove music from the Twitch VOD. So far nothing is working and the actual device doesn't adjust levels on the specific channels, only STREAM.
@@tabtaste my mistake, missed the lower part. Try adding the same source twice, except only put one one recording track, not stream track. So implement my solution twice basically.
I find the GO XLR (shure sm7b) Noise Gate can leave a weird hissing sound when it closes, I can hear it in recordings and in my mic monitoring. Does the Bridge Cast do anything like this? Drives me nuts!!
Talking as a musician with no more than an akai mpc and a mic connected to an audio interface , may we say we are at the same audio quality preamps / audio converter a/d and latency of a focusrite scarlett 4i4 3d gen for exemple (that i own now, but no dsp effects no mixer etc) ? Thank you in advance
Hey there. So i just got the Roland Bridge Cast X and a Shure SM7B. Now i set everything up correctly but for some reason i can't activate Phantom Power (48V). It just won't let me.. Any idea why?
question is there a way to play the sound effects thru your mic, for situations where you want to hear the sound and your not streaming. Like the bleep sound for example if I wanted to play it on discord, is there anyway to configure that?
Thanks for this one Prawn. I thought about making a vid but then my gig got too busy, lol. I am curious about finding the ideal gain. It can sound muffled on a condenser when the mic gain is over 42db. I did go out of my way to look for a software/firmware update two weeks ago and to Roland's credit they had a Jan update available.
Thank you for this video, it helps a ton. I wonder if anyone can help me solve why my game audio isn't controllable, is there a system setting that I need to designate? I went into the game audio settings and Bridge cast was already selected but greyed out, any help would be great. and thanks again for this video.
Used this to set up mine for streaming on Twitch. Thanks, great little turorial! Got a question, trying to figure out how I might stream to Twitch, with music playing, but then exclude it from the VOD's. You can do that using Streamlabs normally, but what I'm wondering is, can you do it using Bridgecast? Once you channel everything into the one source, I can't seem to exclude it. And if I add it as a seperate sound source, I can't seem to seperate it from the stream mix?
not sure about stream labs but in OBS I put all audio on track 1 and 6(twitch VOD track) besides music which I put only on 1 for stream to hear. I also dont use track 1 for recording so I never have music in the recording
@ Yeah I’m aware of this method. But using the Bridgecast it mixes all my sources into one outgoing stream. It doesn’t sep those channels. Having read some more about it, it sounds like its a. Ridge Cast limitation, unless I’m missing a setting somewhere!
use the quick button beside it as a "mute mic" for all button and press them both simultaneously. best solution i can offer you. or use a foot pedal switch for muting mic
