    Hi. I have 2 questions about the device:
    Can it power dt 990 pro 250 ohm or dt 1990 pro?
    Also i've read somewhere you have to plug the 5V power cord in too, because the usb c not enough, in too is it true? Also if its true, do i have to buy an AC converter, or that goes into the usb c of my motherboard too?

    Ok not gonna lie this looks nice and it does what I need, still somehow I am drawn more to rode duo for ease of mic setup I could easily switch between my sm7b and NT1 great vid mate 🫡

    • @MachineDaena
      @MachineDaena  Год назад +1

      Thanks for the compliments - glad it was helpful!
      If you can afford the Rode, it's more likely to be a better option, mainly from the standpoint of how well established it is the streaming market vs BridgeCast.
      That's not to take anything away from BridgeCast, but it's a question of budget and value. If you can afford to go with the premium option, that's a little more established, it's probably a safer bet!
      If you want to save some money.... go with the BridgeCast!

      Can the Rode Duo replicate this functionality? From all of my research, the Duo would require multiple usb cables to be connected to my PC to have mic / game / chat and music assigned to the 4 physical faders like the Bridge Cast. Am I wrong?

    So... I'm looking to replace my Helion GoXLR as mine just died... and the 1 question I have which I'm having a really hard time finding an answer too... is can you use this on a 2 PC set up?
    Fifine mixer, which I got as a quick solution didn't pan out as the Mic output only went to the gaming PC and not the streaming PC unless you use the Mic Monitor option... which also means hearing myself in my headset... which... is really weird, and didn't fit the bill.
    So now, I'm looking at this Bridge Cast, and I have watched 4 reviews so far which sound great, but none have spoke about how well this would do with a 2 PC set up. Primarily what I'm looking to understand is if I use my XLR mic, does the sound from the Mic get transmitted via both the USB C port connected to the Primary PC, but also to the 3.5mm output port that would go to your Streaming PC?... without having to turn on a Monitor Mic option, or having to listen to yourself. My TC Helion GoXLR never had that option, and it was easy to just send the output to the Streaming PC.
    Any input on this would be great and help me make a decision. :)

    • @MachineDaena
      @MachineDaena  Год назад +1

      "Any input on this would be great" was than unintentional audio play on words?!
      The short answer is I think it would work well on a 2 PC set up but the long answer is I'm not 100% so I've sent your request to my technical contact at Roland to clarify! I'll revert hopefully in a day or two when he responds :D
      Either way, best of luck and thanks for watching!

    • @MachineDaena
      @MachineDaena  Год назад

      Hmmm yea you're probably right. Only hesitation is that I didn't do much treatment to the BridgeCast audio whereas I have tuned my GoXLR quite considerably over time (and it's still pretty rubbish because I'm so bad at audio lol!).

    • @frzn9856
      @frzn9856 Год назад +2

      @@MachineDaena Have you put any more treatment into it because I do agree it's night and day, and as goxlr has lost update support, I am between this and a rodecaster duo.
      So was wondering if you could post or tell me if you got it to sound better

    • @MachineDaena
      @MachineDaena  Год назад

      @@frzn9856 Sorry to say I haven't as I finished my testing on the BridgeCast a long while ago. I'm very confident the BridgeCast audio engineering would be as good as, if not more superior to, the GoXLR. However, there might be other reasons to go with something else (e.g. Rode) so that doesn't necessarily mean BridgeCast is the answer.
      If there are other reasons why you like BridgeCast, don't let audio engineering be the reason not to get it because the audio engineering on BridgeCast is likely to be better than what you natively get with Rode (streaming products), from what I've seen.

    Absolutely awesome video MD. I really like the look of the bridgecast. It is definitely something I would have sat on my desk. Wondering what it is like working with obs. Can it be used for the settings and levels seperately and not have obs set them or do you have to set it up on both sides would there be a video in showing the intergration and usability with obs cou,d be an interesting video. On a side note, eevie is looking sooooo cute and growing up fast.

    • @MachineDaena
      @MachineDaena  Год назад +1

      Hi mate! Thanks for the positivity! Yes for sure it can work with OBS - but as with the GoXLR, the purpose of something like this is really to simplify the audio control experience (the output…. Because configuring it can be challenging but once’s it’s done, it should make a streamers life easier). So like with the GoXLR, the Bridge Cast should make managing audio levels in OBS redundant (set and forget…) then you simply adjust things on the device as needed!
      I might do a follow up vid at some point, we’ll see!

    Hi, awesome video! A friend and I have both bought a Shure SM7B and Roland Bridge Cast. We both have white noise at about 48dB with just 49dB of gain on the microphone. With the microphone disconnected the noise becomes even louder. Do you have the same issue and are you using anything to reduce the noise? Saw you had your gate at -87dB. Ours needs to be at -45dB to negate the noise. We tried switching cables, returning the unit, but the issue is still present. Do you know how this can happen?

    • @MachineDaena
      @MachineDaena  Год назад

      Hey, thanks for the positive vibes and for watching.
      I think this is a common issue - a lot of people seem to contact me with feedback issues 🫠 though many people don’t report it being due to the loudness, so it could be your issue is slightly different.
      Could it potentially be your mic?

    • @magicalnmighty8680
      @magicalnmighty8680 Год назад

      @@MachineDaena I've tested with the sm7b of my friend which has the same problem, so it's unlikely to be the microphone. What do other people report on? are there more common issues with the bridge cast? Do you use a cloudlifter to get the right amount of gain for the bridge cast?

    • @Donbro
      @Donbro 11 месяцев назад

      try using a fet head and using it as a condenser mic with 48v phantom, reduce the fuck out of your db gain to like 16 or 18 and see how you go, save for that my only thing would be the shure likes power to run it, perhaps plug it into the 5v for extrta power and see if that does it for you

    you are getting dual bus wrong my friend goxlr doesnt have it at all
    dual bus = you can play 1 thing at 2 different levels , for example you can play a song at 10% on your speakers and at 50% on stream for audience you cant do that on goxlr

      @@MachineDaena true, you said that about bridge cast, but also you said at 7:21 its not unique to bridge cast (which is unique) coz goxlr have routing table which confusing alot because the routing table does not work as dual bus work

    • @MachineDaena
      @MachineDaena  Год назад

      @@xlKhaled you're not wrong, but again, conceptually the functionality offered amounts to the same in terms of how a user will probably use dual bus vs routing table.
      If Dual Bus offers superior functionality in terms of how someone will use it, in comparison to a routing table, please advise how as that's definitely something I'd love to know about (as would other viewers on this vid!) :)

    • @xlKhaled

      @@MachineDaena as an example: you are steaming a game and playing music , audience says music volume is too high comparing to everything else and you are barley hear the music in your speakers/headphones (and vice versa), in this example you can raise the volume for you and lower the volume for stream with the knobs , with goxlr routing table essentially its a check mark either you/they hear it or not you cant change volume for you and audience separately you need other apps to do same thing

    • @MachineDaena
      @MachineDaena  Год назад

      @@xlKhaled ah you see, you're wrong here... the far right fader on the GoXLR software enables you to adjust volume for YOU and NOT the stream. I use this feature ALL THE TIME with GoXLR.
      I get what you're saying though, as audio levels per fader (rather than overarching volume for headset, per the GoXLR) DOES give a better level of control, but it's not something that's likely to make or break the GoXLR vs BridgeCast.
