It's either "kill aerith" or "kill the recreation of the most tragic moment in gaming history" xD that's kind of an easy choice to make from their end lol
"Some fates can't be changed." They're doing the whole timeline hijinks thing to bamboozle people into thinking that Aerith might survive this time, since her death is such a massive spoiler.
I think you have to make the choice to kill her yourself. It’s not really a choice since you won’t be able to beat the game with her alive. Like, at the end of infinity war, when Wanda are forced to kill Vision to prevent Thanos from taking the mind stone.
Them going against the narrative the game gave us just to reshock people is incredibly stupid. Everyone's Destiny was changed by the end of the game and it was explicitly stated. They destroyed what kept them fixed on their OG path. Not just some but all of them. What that means is unknown still but, at face-value, it is what the game told us. I think some aspects of his over-all theory are cool but that’s about it.
I feel conflicted on Aerith’s death, I don’t want her to die because she is so precious and I want to see a version where she lives. Yet, I also see that her death is what carried this emotional impact, for us and the team, to stop Sephiroth. I believe that she might not die this time around. Her and Tifa are given equal opportunity in gaining their resolution scene, and if we know in the original - it’s a bit more towards Aerith to make her death even more impactful. Another thing is that Cloud keeps on having foresight of the future when Aerith prays for Holy (Cloud can see this after Aerith transfers knowledge when coming in contact in chapter 2). These scenes keeps on coming up and makes us, the player, fearful. Though, that might be because it might not happen in the future installments, since this is the closest form of Aerith’s death we get to experience, which is through visions. And lastly, when defeating the Whisper form of Kadaj and his gang, we’re fighting the future that gave shape to them. Thus, all those future events that come after defeating them, Cloud fighting and defeating Sephiroth, Aerith praying for Holy, and then Aerith being laid to rest by Cloud, are us defeating that future. Ah, even though we have the original game, we still don’t know how part 2 or 3 are gonna play out since we’re given new characters and there are many ties to the other games and books of the ff7 compilation. Maybe you’re right and that Aerith might not live, honestly I just want to get my hands on the next part and hopefully we can get some answers about the ending (though, wouldn’t be surprised is we’re left with more questions).
@@Sleepezi im so late to the party, but you totally are! Dude, the remake made me sadly hate ff7 and it broke my heart because ff7 was my favorite experience ever, and you made me love it again and understand the devs probably don't try to backstab us, thank you for restoring my favorite passion in media!!
I am so glad you liked it! That means a lot! I appreciate you taking the time to watch it as well! and since I have you here... RIGHT back at you! thank you for being a positive force in the community! its been a fun ride so far! cant wait to see where things go for us!
Finally, someone did it! This video made my day. You delved right into the developers' materials found in the Ultimania. Some of the big hints and foreshadowing comes from the designs. As an illustrator, this makes me very happy. Mythology is a great way to guess where the creative process is coming from, but even more evident are the designs. Good work! Concerning Aerith's fate, at least we can say we know what it is not. It is not related to seven seconds. After completing the game, you see an explanation if you open the map. Press "L2" for "Story" and Square to "view chapter list." Scroll down to "Chapter 18" and go to "The Turning Point." It says the following: "In the world beyond, Sephiroth shows Cloud a vision of the planet seven seconds before its demise. Having strayed from the course destiny set for them, they strike out on a path toward an unknown future."
I love that you brought up that Aerith dialogue at Cosmo Canyon at the end. It’s a moment that has been on my mind for years. Really digging into Aerith throughout all of the compilation is a big to-do for me.
Hmmmm not sure she'll die again. Cloud is the key. 3 reasons being 1) sephiroth said in the end of remake the future is up to you cloud. Alluding to the fact that he has the power to change things. 2) cloud has memory issues. But not only does he not know who he is right now, he has flash fowards of the future. The event of aerith praying to activate holy before her death is shown to cloud through visions. So if cloud gains the understanding necessary to know what aerith fate is he can potentially stop seph from dealing the blow. 3) what would benefit seph to killing her again if he knows what his fate is? Which is to fail over and over even if aerith is dead? Doesn't make sense. His goal is different from OG. We just don't know how yet. Not to mention he wants the power to change fate and got it by absorbing the manifestation of his destiny. I'm not convinced. We'll see.... They might go some split ending route. Never know.
These almost my thoughts exactly. Sephiroth clearly understands how his fate is going to play-out, meaning he knows his downfall is set into motion the second he kills Aerith and returns her soul to the Lifestream, giving her the necessary access to it to stop Meteor. Also, we have to keep in mind that this whole project is under Tetsuya Nomura's directorship, and anyone who plays the Kingdom Hearts series knows how he has a knack for theory-baiting, only to prove everyone wrong in the end.
@@schrodingersbabyseal I would argue that's more Cloud's doing than anyone else's. He's the one who ultimately defeats him within the Lifestream itself (albeit in a more metaphysical fashion) and Cloud is a direct clone of him, clones being how Sephiroth manifests and interacts with the world and Cloud is evidently the strongest clone there is. That's why Sephiroth is determined for Cloud to survive beyond fate in Remake. It's Cloud Sephiroth needs in order to be immortalized.
I really was aiming to use as many things in the tool kit as possible to push the videos further. I think the next few videos will be structured a bit better than this one, a little less flip flopping on tone, but I am so glad that the elements worked for you! Thank you Jared for watching, I hope to keep everything up to this quality and beyond. ^.^
We are gunning for it, got a lot of FF7 to talk about and a lot more! So lets see what happens! Either way I appreciate you saying so! and I appreciate you watching! Thank you! :)
Fantastic job Sleepezi, so glad to have another video from you! Top notch editing with a few scenes of actual laugh out loud moments. I will never unsee that Tifa X Sleepezi edit for the rest of my life. Thank you
Maybe all of Remake is really in Cloud's head when he fell into the Lifestream in Mideel. Thus, Tifa and Aerith would be the only true characters to influence Cloud other than Sephiroth. The whispers Aerith brings together to support Cloud, while other whispers are brought in by Sephiroth.
Ya know, I had this thought too. And I hope so. I really don't like the idea of actively changing so much of og. It being in his head at Mideel would comfort my discontent. It would also explain a lot about the changes specifically. Because Cloud is full of regrets. Especially at the Mideel point in og story.
Thank you so much for doing these videos, I was in the chat but my video was a few minutes behind and i missed my chance to tell you this then, unfortunately. I have been playing Final Fantasy since the very first game came out on the NES all those years ago, but FFVII has always held and incredibly special place in my heart - particularly Aerith. Hey character, relationship with cloud, and eventual death were so impactful when I was 15, and i found that I loved the game just as much with reake, and it's been the best time I've had playing a game in a really long time. I even played through on Hard Mode - I rarely enjoy the combat of something to putt hat kind of effort in gladly - but of course, as always with the Final Fantasy series, what is so important and what we all hold so dear in our hearts - are the Characters and the stories. Thank you, for all your incredible hard work and in loving and having so much enthusiasm for these stories - it's truly been infectious enthusiasm to listen to!
First off! I have to say thank you for checking it out live! even though it was delayed I am glad you could participate! your a true fan, and I am more than happy to try and resonate that power we all feel from this story, and to try and express where the story is being told for once, which is through the characters. and Remake does try and keep that super present in a very potent fantasy world. I can only hope that we can all continue to enjoy this stuff together, and I only hope for the best for the new installments to come! I really appreciate you sharing this, and taking the time to watch any of my videos. Thank you truly!
@@Sleepezi yo everything about this video SLAPS. The Production was incredible, the editing was funny, your voice and way you present has come on massively since your first FF theory video, more crisp clear and concise, you repeat yourself less. Yeah dude 100% easily becoming one of my favourite RUclipsrs
I didn't think you'd top one aspect of the previous videos with regards to those that got me so interested to the point of writing a poetic comment at one point. But I was naive: you topped all of the aspects, all 7777 of them. I'm really, really glad you came up as a creator when you did, with the content that you did, and I'm really, really glad to see you scaling up faster than Tifa's combo hits on this journey of yours. You took the humor tone up a notch, and it's at an incredible level now. You also introduced yourself visually to your content, which opened up a {Huge materia}-sized hole of opportunities for edits, effects, contextualization, and extra information on your content, while also attaching a new layer of identity to {your} content. At this point, I honestly think you have what it takes to create essay/comedic/documentary/historic content about any media, and it would be crazy good. I'm happy to be a Patreon supporter, and I can only wish I had the time to be more a part of the other content you provide, like twitch streams and podcast participations.
Well...As always a pure, passionate, and very well executed reply from you, Frederico, is, and has always been quite a pleasure to say the least. The 7777 and beyond was knowing people like yourself were expecting something, it was always my want to try and get ahead of those expectations, and after a Patreon was made, It felt more and more like what needed to happen. But also because I was personally motivated to start reaching a bit higher with the quality. and were going to keep raising the percentage. I am very glad, truly, that you also came around when YOU did to for this content. Because your first comment truly made it clear to me how awesome it was to have a group of people that supported my content, and enjoyed watching what I made. Which in turn, made me grateful to you for how thoughtful you were in putting a reply together, not unlike this one here. Which made me also desire to keep engaging with all of the comments. Which is a practice I am trying to uphold! Pivoting to this new style was a bit of a wildcard for me, and I didnt know how much of a risk I could calculate while making it. I didnt even know I could edit it without making my computer burn. and I simply had no idea how any of you would react to seeing a man in his pajamas take the place of perhaps the man you thought was much less disheveled, or to your worst nightmare, just as you might have imagined me. A dude who had just researched the most niche, disliked, convoluted video game franchise lore of one of the greatest games of all time looked like. and also lived inside of a dumpster at one point during the filming of this video. (removed in post.) but I appreciate how much of an understanding you have of why that happened. Its because I want to be able to deliver you more of what I have to offer, as a small payment for what has largely made this possible, which is your support. Which, to clarify, you do so overwhelmingly so! In EVERY way for me. We have a long way to go, and I am going to enjoy, frankly, Every second if it. Without another way to express this, I say. Thank you. Thank. YOU.
Happy forst anniversary to the channel, your videos have made me understand and appreciate FF7 in general more than I already did and I really appreciate it.
If Zack’s fate was changed Aerith’s fate could also change. I think she lives and that there is going to be a different arc than the Og to tell a whole new story.
You're correct. If everything this game told us is true, this is what is being set up. A lot of the fanbase hates change but I find everything being unknown more exciting and a lot more like the first time I played OG not knowing what to expect going in.
No. It's CLEARLY not "what is being set up." Stop cheerleading for Square to retcon the most important moment in the history of videogames because you don't want to feel sad. They're not retconning the death of a character whose death, and the finality of that death, represents one of the developer's mothers. We didn't see MORE tragic pieces of Aerith's life just to keep her. Writing 101 fellas. Like, basic stuff. You do not remove the "tragedy" in your Greek tragedy. This is not 1998. Aerith will not live. It's honestly crazy to me that any fan of this game would even want that to happen or would entertain the idea for a second. It would be terrible, horrible writing that completely flies in the face of every piece of exposition they've given us so far. It would fly in the face of every writing best practice there is. You're falling for the bait Square are laying out to make Aerith's death hurt even more, by making it feel like it was preventable this time around. PS Zack's fate wasn't changed. Come on. Watch the videos on THIS channel. More red herrings/wildly ambiguous pieces of content the game itself shows us is an alternate strand of time. Zack is dead. He will remain dead. Aerith will die. And she will remain dead.
@@davemccombs Okay, I'll bite. Care to elaborate on how her living this time is "bad writing"? Considering that this game series is not OG FF7? The game's theme and premise are entirely different than OG. The theme song itself is of Cloud's perspective of wishing to do things differently. The game introduces the Whispers and we defeat them. The game tells us at the end that the journey is Unknown from here on out. Biggs and (seemingly) Wedge survive. Main Sephiroth is the Sephiroth from AC. He even tells Cloud at the EoC "That which lies ahead, does not yet exist". Aerith at the end of the game reassures Cloud that "We can. We will." defeat Sephiroth. Her demise came because she believed she was the only one who could stop him. But this time she knows they can together. It's heavily implied she has memories/awareness of OG/AC so it all makes sense. This game is not OG. This game is the culmination of OG and the parts of Compilation that the devs want woven into the story. If you honestly believe that every detail in this game is a red herring, THAT is bad writing, my friend. If this was actually supposed to be a Remake fullstop, I would agree with you. But this is a sequel. Zack is also in an alternate timeline and is still dead in this timeline but that doesn't disprove anything. I trust that they will give us a serviceable story, regardless. Freaking out at the possibility Aerith lives and that that ruins an entirely different story they are telling is ridiculous. Edit: Maybe you are falling for the bait that she dies again. Seems to be the case considering how many people look past basic story-telling for ‘muh iconic scene!’. The entirety of Remake itself is just one big ol’ subversion for one character death that happened like a quarter of a century ago! Lol 😂
this was such a well-made video, just like your other videos, highly appreciate it It seems so real that it feels like it's inevitably gonna happen just as you said, oh boy
Wow the editing here is so top notch, I've no doubt in my mind you're gonna be the #1 youtuber covering this game going forward. EDIT: PLAY FFX RIGHT NOW.
Dude the fact that you even watched this makes my heart jump. and for being so supportive, Overly supportive in fact. and kind to me as I am going down the youtube rabbit hole, I cant thank you enough dude. It truly means a lot! I will keep trying to push things to higher highs with you in the FF community! Thank you NSP T. T
I love that you decided to do it just sat chilling on the floor! :D nice to see you instead of just hearing you Sleepezi! And thank you for yet another informative video :)
I love floors, and I like Chilling. I also very much like talking about FF7. and have an even bigger like for people like you for your thoughtful and very kind comments. Thank you for being so supportive! And thank you for watching!
Amazing. As always I appreciate the effort and heart that goes into these videos. I had a similar feeling that the only way they could create a similar experience to that tragic moment for those that have obviously already experienced it would be to create a perfect environment where you actually believe this time, "maybe just maybe she lives!!!!" Aaaaand wham. They've already done a great job up to this point giving the player the experience of false hope. I love it. Thank you!!
Your videos are nothing short of incredible. The detail you go into is just mind blowing! Please keep making FF7 videos, you've had the most interesting theories/takes in the community the past year and I will gladly watch whatever you decide to put out.
I very much appreciate the kind words Ian, truly. And the people here and the community has been all but overwhelmingly supportive of me, its something I really value. I will continue to try my best for the both of us! Thank you again, and thank you for watching!
I'm totally down with the idea that in comparing Aerith in the intros and very end of FF7 OG. Aerith in remake intro is the same Aerith during the last 2 seconds of the ending meditating in front of the mako leak. I think it was deliberate that it starts where OG left off with Aerith and not the Aerith in the OG intro. Very subtle but real comparison. I understand it could have initially been intended that it was her consciousness in the lifestream. But the atmosphere of those last couple seconds is the same as if she was still in front of the mako leak. They may go along with that we just played through the planet telling her what will happen in the OG and now the remake is the actual experience after her knowing this and Sephiroth and Jenova know as well cause they are infecting the lifestream while Aerith was connected to it.
Cosmo Canyon Observatory's series on Aerith leads me more to the idea that Remake Aerith is only influenced by / communicated with the OG Aerith in the lifestream. I think that the evidence in Remake suggests that they aren't the same person. Interestingly, I think that the Aerith in her resolution scene is OG Aerith (with all the lifestream imagery suggesting this) speaking with Cloud. I'd recommend the video series if you're interested.
Finally got around to watching this. I really like the new format with the comedy and a Materia-less Bugenhagen :D While watching, you gave me a few nudges towards how I can better formulate the conclusion of my upcoming Cloud vs Sephiroth video (series), so thanks for that! What I also really like is that our approaches to making such extremely in-depth videos differ well enough so that both our content can perfectly exists side by side without competing with each other, which ultimately benefits the audience as they will receive different angles to the same topic. Regarding Aerith dying: even the Remake itself alludes to that fact in a very interesting way. Not through dialogue and not in item descriptions but in the presentation of certain (short) cutscenes. However, that's for another video :P Anyway, I really appreciate your work and it's always a pleasure to receive more insight into the compilation and thus more context to what's happening in Remake. Keep it up!
14:10 Square has really liked supplanting purple for black or darkness in general. Whenever I see it I always think of the phrase, "Purple, The New Black"... which is also the name of a scripted fight in Final Fantasy XI. Caius Ballad is adorned in purple, and the trailer for Shadowbringers features purple heavily when depicting the Warrior of Darkness as a Dark Knight. They are also contrasting colors, meaning they are opposite each other on the color wheel. Also interesting to note they chose purple for the elders. Perhaps because they are closer to death, and death being the most primal fear.
NSP was just telling me about the colors in a poster, and since I am unfamiliar with FF outside of 7 as I have researched its become clear how much overlap there is. Someone previously mentioned the fear of death being a prime reason for the color choice, and you spelling that out for me with the Elder Cetra would greatly magnify that sort of focus for me in the future. because Fear is a blanketed term that can really bring out a ton of subjects. perhaps something to look into now...
Thank you stina! I am just glad you enjoy the videos! I get excited to put them out and read what you guys have to say, and appreciate seeing comments like these. ^.^ thank you for watching and commenting !
Man, you are one bright and funny - and for coming across like an easy going and laid back person extremely hard working- guy I happened to finally find on youtube. It is impossible to listen to the interesting and sometimes more than average complicated thoughts and watching all the funny cuts and memes and clips at the same time. Best chanel about FF7 content I have seen so far, and I've seen a lot. Thank you for your great work and the fact you're blessed with passion and talent to it in your way 🍀🦙
oh...There will be MORE. many more conversations I am excited to bring up and present to you all. :P I highly appreciate your enjoyment of the series, and you are a true champion for getting through all of it like that. All I can say to that is WOW! Thank you so much, for both watching like a mad man, and for this very supportive comment!
My dude has incredibly entertaining pieces that still manage to break down a cohesive view of the entire FF7 universe AND fucks with "Birth of a God"? My dude you just got yourself another patreon subscriber.
Would be cool if they follow through with the concept of changing fate and Aerith survives in the remake. We have seen Aerith die over and over again for 20 years already. I would be happy with an alternate story since they have already placed it very elegantly in a separate reality where fate has been challenged and defeated. It would also fit nicely with the concept of friendship from AC where the team is more than just a sum of its members and the teamwork empowers the individuals to challenge their own limits. I hope the Aerith in this universe is saved and Zack is alive so their story has closure.
Your passion, humility and appreciation of the help you receive is truly impressive. And while I do have things to say about the content in the video I must first mention; keep up the the open transparency of those emotional expressions.
Great vid! Sound arguments, solid research. Even with so much pointing to a tragic end for Aerith in the Remake as well, I still oscillate between "She's gonna die, don't get attached" and "She's gonna make it!"
The narrative of the actual story at face-value tells the audience by the end of the game that everything is unknown and their fates changed. You really think that what was established in this game is just gonna be false in the end? Or the developers hand-wave it to mean only some fates changed just to "reshock" people? It seems like a lot of work to tell the same story just slightly different to me. Good theory overall but I just don't think this is the case. There is a lot more potential pursuing something newer with what they gave us in this. Edit: Not to mention the main theme 'Hollow', it's meaning, and the fact 'Aerith's Theme' plays after it in the credits. These things mean more than just to be a gut punch this time.
First of all! Thank you for commenting, I have seen you doing so in larger conversations that I am making my way to, but this one I feel I can chime in since it's something I have been trying to clarify thus far in the comments. I want to establish that first, none of this is face value, if it was there wouldn't be any reason to speculate or theorize on the subject. So anything that is face value needs to be looked into, as the narrative creates mystery. I don't really understand the disconnect between the things I establish in the video, wing imagery and how that is a part of fate, Then establishing that as a visual language of storytelling, and then the clarification that these are established as being present even after the Harbingers death. And then seeing that there is still some sort of questionable aspect that fate is still in play for the characters. especially after the developers established Remake as an inclusion of the Compilation that strengthens the connection between these two subjects, Remake and the compilation. The only reason I get confused by this, is because this conversation of Fate is so clear, to me, as a subject that is not going to just end after this game, it is still at play for our main villain, and what he is seeking. And having established a level of mystery again with a feather for cloud in the very last scene. Again, a presentation that the conversation of this subject has not concluded. I also want to clarify also that I only describe the start of Remakes arc, and the falling action, which is where I address Aeriths death. Never do I describe the finale of the game, the outcome or conclusion of the idea of Destiny. If the subject of Destiny is on your character's mind, and unresolved, then the subject is still present, both internally and externally at play in the universe of the story. and it should be. our characters have yet to be challenged by the concept, they have barely scratched the surface of understanding what they just did, what they saw, what they experienced. So I think its safe to say, with the Crisis Core nods that are literal mirrors of each other, that there is more to talk about there for the developers, and that they want it to be established that there is. On both the subject of Fixed fates, and Defying destiny. My point with Aeriths death was to establish how far they can push that emotionally, to actually have this concept resonate with the player, push it farther for them, make us wonder if they can actually do something about things we know are coming, make us think we can and then make us doubt or feel as if we are failing. These are highs and lows of storytelling that make it important to understand how these elements need to affect our characters. Because if we give a rats ass about them, then these larger concepts will be instrumental to why all of this works to begin with. I clarify after the subject of wings, that there is a possibility in which this could be that what the overall point of destiny is doesn't need to be bleak, the end could very well have these characters defy their destined fates. But you can't jump to the end yet. Because the party doesn't know the point of what they were risking at all at the end of part 1. Which completely misses the point of the subject to begin with. Zack experiences this in crisis core, he watches everyone who is around him succumb to what they were destined to do, he watches Angeal die, he watches Genesis embrace his fate, he never gets to his goal because of this. Yes he seemingly lives in Remake, but the reason why that is impactful is because we know what he went through, and how he ended up just dying having not really achieving his goal. that cannot happen narratively to the characters yet, they haven't experienced anything for us and them to get the emotional release from the subject yet. So with the language of storytelling to establish and explore a larger scope of themes for those stories, to strengthen the originals already established ideas, and expand on them sounds like a very effective direction. you described the moment of death being used as reshock value (trademark square enix). That is not how I see it at all. what you call Reshock, is an essential part of character development for Cloud, and not for ooos and ahhhs they did it again! The point of describing these larger concepts, again needs to have reason. Purpose. The previously mentioned concepts give that moment purpose, and weight. I appreciate your comments and expressing your opinion on these things, I think that there is an importance to these discussions, and I wanted to give your post as much time and effort as you put into yours to reply. As well as the other ones that I mentioned above. Thank you for that, and for watching.
I for one think that there will be a few immutable story beats. There is plenty of room for an "unknown journey" while still traveling through the established narrative. The way I interpreted these videos accounted for that. There will definitely be some major changes, and moreover, some mysteries may finally be solved.
@@SleepeziI think your response here becomes very understandable once you see the end of rebirth & I am looking forward to your commentary on it once you get there. Personally, I think rebirth has set into place what you bring up here about the party needing to be challenged by fate and that we are being set up for the "real" chance to defy fate in p3. There's a lot I want to say but don't want to spoil anything.
regardless of whom, I hope we are all just doing it out of love of the topic. Which I cant express how much I have with just the 6 videos I have done over the course of last year. Here is to more! Thank you Truska

Dude, we already knew you were a rock star, but now we see you actually look like one too. Also, incredible job on the editing for this video, completely unexpected yet refreshing, entertaining & wholesome. Loved it!👏
I really appreciate you saying so! and you guys are the Rockstar's (your all breathtaking!) I thought I looked like a man in his jamms, but I will take rock star instead gladly lol! Thank you so much for your continued support! and for watching as always freedom panic!
Editing in this video is superb. Grade A content too. You releasing a FFVII video makes me as happy as actually getting some FFVII content would. Incredible job as always. BTW what are your thoughts on the Egyptian Cetra depiction, appearing in the Temple of the Ancients murals in the OG game?
First off, thank you thank you thank YOU. it really means a lot to see people still excited to get hyped for FF7 R stuff! and for you to be here is awesome. I would say that the Egyptian cetra depiction is an odd choice. and honestly one of those things that I think will change in later renditions. but: I want to speak more on this, but there are some things I want to cross reference in terms of some of the patterns and stuff that play into what we see in every instance of Cetra culture. its a personal project anytime something new comes around for cetra to cross reference these things, and I have yet to take a harder look at the temple of the Ancients. if I do have anything I find worth mentioning I will make sure you know about it! Thank you Petarblade. I want to acknowledge people like you have supported me through multiple videos and I cant thank you enough. Thank you thank you!!!!
In case anyone is curious... extensive study of the cuneiform writing on the walls of this temple yielded that they are straight up jibberish. They basically just copy-pasted the same meaningless designs on each wall.

@@Sleepezi Thank you for being a stand up, hard working dude. I live for FF as a franchise. OG FFVII is the reason I became a professional musician and made a career out of it. And seeing someone as passionate as you guys makes me love the game even more. You'll always have my support. Because you earned way more than just that, you earned my respect. I'm SUPER excited about Temple of the Ancients content/info. That was always one of my favorite locations on the OG game, and the music there is enchanting. Same for the Forgotten Capital.
imma just comment and say, wow, what an attractive ff theorist we got here, very surprised but welcomed face reveal. also great vid i've replayed your vids while doing work at least a handful of times. hope you cover intergrade when it comes out!
I don’t know how long this video took to edit but thank you so much for taking the time, it was super entertaining! First time I watch you but, subscribed 🤪
I am really glad you enjoyed it that much. This one took....a while. lol. but it is extra worth it for stuff like this. Thank you, and we will be back to this kind of video soon. ;)
So what you are telling us, is that Meteor in OG is the reason we now have anime-level convolution and nonsensical storytelling? God damn it Seph, somehow you managed to affect the real world with your ingame destruction!
The Meteor is what makes Sephiroth so powerful, and is the narrative tool that they used to create meaning for the events in my mind. there is sense in the Nonsense. Transcending real life...? I sure hope not lol
Don’t forget that the connection between the lifestream and the water area is basically said out loud by Genesis when he explains his theory. “The greatest mystery behind the gift of the goddess? The waters surface, and the answer I have come to, is the lifestream” something like that. 29:13
I think we can all agree that Tragedy is what we expect from Remake. I don't mind a good ending, but I do mind not highlighting the topic that made the original iconic. Equivalent exchangeeee is right! an extra e ontop of yours for reiteeerating your point! Thank you so much for watching! and for commenting! :D
If she does not die than something more sinister, more tragic, more heartbreaking must happen. I have the feeling the only other option is, that she is forced to perform the role of evil, from all the being free of destiny thing. She could probably be forced to act against the goal of being free from destiny at some point, because she realizes that there is no solution, no meaning in all of this. Would be interesting at least 😁👍
Its Just crazy what a huge in you believing fanbase you build in such a Short time. Keep Up your amazing Work! 👍🏻🙌🏻 Cant wait to See Mord Lore/Story theories - No Matter If you continue with Others FF Titles or Others franchises
I am sure sometime soon we will be shaking things up content wise, which I will very much be excited by. But I greatly appreciate all of you who make this fanbase, and this space, so great! Hopefully we will continue to grow, as we usually do after a video, and enjoy more FF7 content and more together! Thank you Rene, and very much a thank you for watching!
Before I played Remake last week, I thought how everyone knew Aerith's fate, even people like me who never played the original. I thought, if I were making this, how would I make that moment punch just as much, if not more, than the original given that every knows these characters fates. I said that if I were making this, I would drop hints of an alternative universe or timeline, give the player hope of saving her, and then kill her anyway. Which is why ultimately I don't think that they would do this. From what I understand, the whole point of killing her in the 1st game was to convey the sense of death in reality: not dramatic or meaningful but sudden and meaningless. If they were to kill her again, they would need to do it for a new theme as redoing that theme is not only redundant but unnecessary cruel and spiteful. So what would a likely new theme be to kill her again? Fighting fate is pointless and fate always wins? I'm not a player of the og game and so I'm not a destiny or plot puritan, so I don't have any desire to go with destiny. Just as the whispers represent the fate puritans, I think that the remake Cloud represent the majority of the player base, where the og game was before our time. Yet we grew up constantly hearing about and surrounded by these characters to the point that we almost know them by heart. We know the destiny of these characters but not the context or the details, represented by clouds brief flash forwards in memory, and we know that these events just make us feel sad but don't know why, represented by Cloud's tear. But ultimately, she could live and she could die, but as a player I am really invested and want to change these characters fate. The crazy thing is I don't want to save just Aerith, but I feel the game subtly gives the player hope to redeem Sephiroth as well, as that seems to be the only way to stop him ultimately, is to save him.
there are a TON of things that remind me of her in there as well, just how everyone wears some clothes around their waist and such. I see what your seeing for sure! Thank you for watching!
ok so here is a thought what if Aerith caused this to happen. While she was in the life stream seeing her friends live there lives after the first game she used her connection to the planet to try and see of she could change her fait while doing this seph who was also in the life stream took advantage of this and followed her she is now of two personality's one who is aware of everything that has happened and one who is unaware witch is why she is the only one who can see the faits at the beginning and they attack her cause they know that this aerith is trying to change things meanwhile seph who followed her is also trying to change his fate for his own means but has retained all his memories and is overpowering the faits... the final battle happens and they all go of on there adventure but as one last hail marry before the faits are destroyed they save zack from dying so he can put a stop to seph because like seph he can also travers through fait because he no longer has one... the zack part im unshure about but thats all i can come up with this just my brain going into overload and i might have missed the whole point of the game.
I am not sure about that because I don't think Aerith is someone who will risk something very important just to be would her friends again. I do believe she is doing this for a very important reason ( like I believe it was Sephiroth that started this not Aerith .in way in advent children Sephiroth did intend this when he said I will never be memory . )
The lifestream contains memories , knowledge and emotions of those who passed away or returned to the planet ( i do believe the lifestream is connected to time ) . I believe Aerith and sephiroth in the lifestream ( for how long they have been in the lifestream ) gained knowledge on how to travel to the past through lifestream
Really well edited and presented video, the reasoning eased some of my worries about the future games trying to "save" everyone. I like the style, very reminiscent of nakeyjakey
Perhaps the story of Remake is what the missing fifth act of LOVELESS is all about. Unknown, up to speculation, with all bets off, and nobody being safe (and I mean that). As a matter of fact, the ending did say an unknown journey is coming up, and though Aerith's death won't be a shock to anyone familiar enough with FF7, the build-up to it might be the greatest shocker of all. I've been thinking about what you said so far, and thought I might as well list what I personally believe it will happen in the story, inspired by the thoughts you helped me conceive. Hope you don't mind: 1) Sephiroth's final defeat will occur, assuming it's part of the elements of fate that cannot be changed; 2) As hard as Sephiroth tries to change his ultimate fate, he is bound to fail. This sadly includes Aerith as well, and since Sephiroth almost certainly knows killing her was his greatest mistake, he will try his best to keep her alive this time around, leading to a possible sacrificial death of her part to save the planet from destruction, in line with what was said before; 3) On A Way To A Smile states clearly that, as long as Cloud is alive, Sephiroth will always keep himself from being dissolved within the lifestream, by focusing on his hatred for him. We also know that the One-Winged Angel can reform his body as long as Jenova's remains exist in the physical world. This means that, if Sephiroth is to be ultimately defeated, not only must every trace of Jenova be destroyed, but Cloud himself must die to finally eradicate Sephiroth. Maybe Genesis will play a part in this, as it's his role to protect the world, according to CC Ultimania; 4) In the OG, Cloud's desire was to be reunited with Aerith and Zack in the Promised Land. Chances are this dream that he isn't even conceiving right now will become a reality. I believe this will be the true ending of FF7 - Cloud's ultimate consolation for all the suffering he had, and is yet to endure. I haven't included Zack here because I'm really not sure how large of a role he'll have here. It's that much of a haze to me still. I do hope these theories of mine sound realistic. As always, thanks a lot for the awesome content you brought, Sleepezi. Keep it up! P.S: Nice way to make a comeback with the superior production and face reveal!
@@Sleepezi yes sir .i see some comment below saying minerva are jenova double...i dont think so.in c.c we did fought her..minerva genesis weiss nero are differente agenda.
After watching a recent speedrun of FF7 at this year's AGDQ, I'm now convinced that Sephiroth has been speedrunning this game throughout Remake and his possession of the Whispers is how he accesses the Debug Room. That's how he jumped the game from end of Midgar to the end of OG, but he also changed up the code so he'd win that last fight. Sephiroth hacked FF7, this is so sad. Also, I appreciate the fact that Remake takes Compilation gems and bastes the OG in it, but most likely put very, very, VERY light dashes of DC. Almost as if to say, "Okay, we acknowledge that we have this game in Compilation, but we don't need to highlight it. Just put enough in there to say we did include it."
Tragic. I think your absolutely right: Edge of creation is the debug room, and AGDQ was actually a teaser for Ever Crisis. The recipe for remake will be posted at a later time with just how much of DoC is needed, because too much will overflavor your OG. and yes its all about accenting the essential flavors of your already juicy and tender OG character beats. thank you for this comment, it was very enjoyable to read. and thank you for watching!

If this were true on a personal level I would feel sadder about wars and whatnot in other countries than when my dog died. On an objective level, as in metrics for affecting my life, for me my dog dying was more of a personal tragedy since wars in other countries do not reach my life in any noticeable way, especially since I do not watch news about it. I also do not think I would feel more sad if my dog had died from being chased by evil men shooting at her on a highway only to end up being killed by a moose that was frighted and trying to defend itself. More chances to die or more reasons might be thrilling at the moment, but the end is still the same. It was plenty sad that my dog died from having pneumonia. Struggle against odds and physical outside threats vs dying from suffocating is hard to value against each other in a moment of sadness, but history will record it as a tragedy regardless. I also do not think it would be more sad if my dog had died in a multiverse kind of way since I would still just lose my dog and does not really care for all the others me that lost their dogs. Avengers infinity war had insanely high stakes but the saddest part for me was Vision dying, not 50 % of the universe being snapped. And this was before we knew if the snapped people would all come back to life and if they would simply resurrect the people that died (Gamora as well). Was it a "bigger" tragedy? Sure on a scale of the amount of people that died. Hiroshima and 9/11 were bigger tragedies than my grandma dying but not living in Japan nor USA my grandma dying affected me more. Peoples feelings are personal. Some roll their eyes at Romeo and Juliette deaths in all the versions of the story since they know they are gonna die and that in of itself makes different versions just for being different tiresome, especially after the fact. It is not really a bigger tragedy if the story might change but didn't as there are versions out there that have happy endings but does not mean more to all people because of that. Aerith can die and in some interdimensional death or be "final destinationed" to die in every version of the multiverse, dualverse or however reality wants to and is defined for the story for whatever reason but is it really sadder? Does more Aeriths dying mean it is sadder? Is toying with the possibility more sad and if we add more stakes does it make it inherently more exciting? Would Avengers infinity war be even sadder if 50 % of the multiverse were snapped as well? Is the end of a single planet in a vast universe inherently less sad than timelines being distorted and or altered/destroyed or unbendable to the extent that we "have" to feel sadder because the scale is bigger? On a numerical level yes, more deaths and peoples "superdeath" through realities is a bigger tragedy as in how news would report and the reach to touch more people. Regardless, I would argue that we first of all do not need higher stakes, not in a sequel nor especially in whatever a remake would entail. Not in the chronological history that is changed nor because of storytelling. Bigger is not always better. I would also argue that feelings are personal and feelings can tap out as well because you cannot feel infinitely sad, but it's great for you and all that liked your comment that you think that the stakes are higher means something more to you and being hyped about that, and I wish you the best in whatever you expect and wants out of it. If your statement was simply about how a bigger event is reported as a worse tragedy and not a statement about how each person has to feel more then just disregard all this.
@@vincentgraymore It was indeed just about a bigger event reported as a worse tragedy. It also is the most used and classical narrative device to create stakes in a story - hoping for a resolution but failing and falling nonetheless - in order to, at the end, truly accomplishes what has to be done and feel the aristotlean catharsis. Sorry to hear about all that. Hope you are good.
@@InfiniteTk No problem and I am not trying to use personal information as something to prevent or shut down discussion, just examples, just so you know. I just see a lot of people thinking that we "need/must have" some higher stakes to make Aeriths death mean something again, yet I do not agree with that. In my opinion the route they took with Jessie was a perfect example (if she stays dead) because it shows that there is no need for higher stakes for emotional payoff but rather just additional scenes and simply more time with the character. This from the mindset of knowing the story. Jessies additional arc did not require additional world ending threats nor higher overall stakes. It wasn't more or bigger in numbers tragedy but for many "better" than the OG, new or old fan (although I guess you could argue that it is more tragic to lose someone with a family and her stakes were higher as she also had to care for her family). I see a lot of "well 'you' wanted the same, but that is wrong because we need more/changes now" mentality and some use the sequel aspect as justification and some just say it is because of general knowledge of the story (like how the developers themselves talk about Sephiroths new involvement is actually affected by meta context of the popularity of the original). If this were true it would basically eradicate much theater as an art as well as investment in all classics still being classics, but I do understand the need to modernize things like dialogue or writing as well as adding things in between and explaining things differently. I just want people to ask themselves more questions in order to realize what and why in their own beliefs and investment. I do not expect people to agree with me. I just do not see why it would be an undisputable argument that a bigger tragedy or more reach or numbers of them is a "better" tragedy story, but I am not trying to say that is what you are saying. Just adding to an imaginary conversation/debate but seen in many corners of the fandom. With this mentality it is also strange to me that many doesn't consider the plate fall event less of a tragedy in remake when we have proof that in remake more people survived than in the OG. The stakes might seem the same except that an evacuation lessens it. Not to mention that the whisperers would have dragged down the plate themselves (should have if needed) making stakes rather iffy. Retelling, like reenactment and or alternative versions of Romeo and Juliet do not need more "because reasons of sequel or previous context", and while it is true what you say regarding storytelling in regard to catharsis in tragedies I do not agree with a statement that higher stakes automatically means we should have more or better emotional investment (not saying that is what you mean). However, I do see that in a general statement for constructing stories that is true as sequels in general ramps stakes in order to keep/reignite investment. When Spider-Man far from home was talked about many asked themselves how can anyone be invested in a story with Peter Parker after the resolution of Avengers Endgame? A common opinion was that the movie should not be that good because stakes cannot be higher than Endgame and/or if they were it would be stupid. It can be considered that over time the stakes had been ramped up so much that it also bloated the overall world investment, especially if we have new rules (like adding time travel). It was not hard to find opinions that there would be no worthy payoff without higher stakes. Yet the movie has almost identical ratings as homecoming on IMDB despite being a major step-down after Avengers Endgame. Perhaps DoCs world ending event needed to be topped on a story telling level and as a story as a sequel, despite that game not having great reach, sales at all which would work against the argument that everything is well known. With Omega there is basically only more insane over the top things that can be done and it would be a logical evolution to just insert time shenanigans or alter/rewrite/"compliment" the story to incorporate such.
The main thing that this makes me think is that maybe the Zack Lives timeline in Remake/Rebirth will be like a cautionary tale about why the fate we know has to happen even though the crew has technically allowed themselves to avert it. Maybe it will have been Aerith looking into time to see if things could play out the way she wants/we want; Zack survived, he finds her, she survives, and that causes Sephiroth to win bc Cloud and Aerith werent able to play their roles. Maybe Aerith survives for longer in the Remake/Rebirth timeline to throw us off, that specific moment is averted, but at some point she realizes that she has no choice but to join the lifestream for them to be able to defeat Sephiroth. This would also tie-in to the fate subplot being a heavy-handed metaphor for the creators being able to tell their own version of the story; they can try to change fate, but if they stray too far from the source material, the sacred timeline, then it will only bring ruin.
But with the whispers gone (the physical interpretation of destiny and fate) doesn’t that throw all the, “destiny” stuff that connect of genesis and aerith, out the window? Cuz like, with all the “destiny” representation gone, they’re able to forge their own path, with aerith literally stating that proceeding and succeeding in interfering with the cross road destiny would be “changing [theirselves]” which gives them the freedom to defy the fates of their “former” selves. And like, with zack Alive in an alternate timeline, doesn’t that also mean there’s another aerith there as well!? This is so confusing XD. Also, just a thought, u would think that sephiroth wouldn’t try to kill aerith because if he is a Sephiroth with knowledge of the future, he would know that this would be one of the big reasons that cloud is as strong as he is in the future. Idk, just a thought. Great video though :D
You are right about the Whispers and Destiny in this game. I think people are heavily overthinking this which I’m sure is intended. If she does die (especially if it’s the same as OG), it will be incredibly bad storytelling with what has been established.
@@Solid-guy ya, like, If she does die in the same way as she did in the previous game, that’s contradicting the whole plot point of remake, which is “completely re-writing destiny”. If they were to kill her off, it’s gotta be in a more impactful way or in a way that catches you off guard. Like if Cloud actually ends up killing her like he was supposed to do in the original until he snapped out of it which leads to sephiroth doing it himself.
@@boomboompowpow3542 My whole thing is why even go out of the way to make so many changes to the original story just to hit the same beats almost the same way? Just make an actual Remake and call it a day. Going through all these hoops just to "shock" everyone with the same death again is completely stupid lol. They already told this story. They set rules IN THE NARRATIVE of the game itself. So many characters state that it's basically a blank slate for all of them. Except for what, a few characters? Lol. Were they lying to the audience or...? "Let's let Aerith just have an inescapable destiny even though no one else is bound by one anymore". Give me a break.
Hello! Remember me? I'm the Debug Room speedrun fan! :D Lately I've gone back through your Structure of 5 theory videos and it's gotten me thinking about FF7 lore all over again. In particular, I've been wondering about Remake Sephiroth's new belt design. He's never had this accessory on him before. I went through the FF Wiki to check his past appearances, and the closest I've found is his design in the Dissidia games, though I'm sure that one was inspired by Amano's artwork and features what looks like a Phoenix avatar on his belt instead. It's also clearer from some artwork in this Ultimania- Oh, right, you brought it up here. So why would Sephiroth be wearing a symbol of the Cetra? He's already gained knowledge from the Lifestream and knows he isn't Cetra. It also wouldn't make sense that he would have had that emblem since he was young since he'd never been raised in the care of any Cetra, or at least that we know of. But then one of your videos reminded me that the passage of time on Gaia seems to be based in collective memories in the Lifestream. Sephiroth, being entirely made up of Negative Lifestream by this point, would likely have corrupted enough souls and thus memories from the Lifestream over the latter half of events of the Compilation. By wearing that emblem, it's as if he's making a declaration that even some Cetra have granted him an honorary position among them. Great. First he hacks FF7, then he steals Avalanche's slogan, and now he's even stolen Cetra property. What's next, is he gonna scam Cloud into buying fake security software that is actually a virus that affects Cloud himself and BSODs him into submission? Welp, guess that's one way to get the Black Materia again. Anyway, as a side note, I also found a piece of concept art from the Ultimania that features Aerith wearing the Emerald Tiara. Emerald Tiara, which is shaped to look like the Emerald Weapon. Minerva is associated with the Weapons, most specifically Emerald Weapon. Oh snap! More fuel to your theories!
So, is it safe (Or hopeful) to assume, that if Aerith has to die, that Cloud will join her this time? If he’s the reason Sephiroth can keep coming back because of his Jenova cells…. Wouldn’t Cloud have to die as well? Assuming I got my information correct. I watched two other videos last night, and it made me feel that Cloud would have to die for it all to finally end.
Think yours is a totally logic even intuitive question, a well as a non-sought argument upon wich the presented statement of inexorable Aerith's doom shoud be debunked as well.
I very much appreciate you saying so Phil, I will continue to push the edits further in future content. as well as the writing! Thank you very much for your supportive words! Thank you also, for watching!
Now this video is ancient, but fun thought. Listen to the last words by genesis in crisis core about no promises...then listen to remake's announcement trailer. The narrator is reaponding to genesis.
I always get that itch after seeing how you guys get excited...which makes me get excited. Seriously we have so much coming ff7 remake related its not even a joke, and I will be right there by you guys looking into it! Until the next one! Thank you for watching!
@@Sleepezi After your 5 part series so many elements I wanna see expanded. Obviously when you first play remake you get confused with the whispers and really question a lot of it. I think that has helped your theories flourish. I wanna see Genesis, Minerva and all the themes expanded upon in remake. I wanna cry when we get tricked and Aerith still dies. So many possibilities. I can't wait to see what you cook up next and float around the screen explaining next.
Cloud and the scooby gang are bonded by friendship yet still incomplete in who they are. Jenova is also incomplete. Sephiroth is the evolution of Jenova yet is a momma boy. While Cloud is an evolution of Sephiroth and is momma favorite child.
What kind of turbo mindfuck would it be if, upon entering the Forgotten City, Aerith turns to Cloud and goes "I wonder just how many times I've been here? How many times i have crossed through these gates? Thousands? Millions? Billions? It always ends the same way... because they had to.. those lives I lived..."
Ok i watched it. I understand. I don’t like the road they’re taking but it’s pointless to argue against all of you. It would be like an ant fighting an army of elephants. If you like this direction, that’s cool. May this remake be successful for all of you regardless of how I feel about it
I will take the time to respond to your bigger post Louis, the majority of these comments do express a desire to see what this newer game bring, but I try and express to anyone who is disappointed with, or has a differing opinion than mine, or the majority, that I understand this side of the table. and do not have any hard feelings over expressing that, or a problem with it. So without argument, but understanding I appreciate you taking the time to express yourself, and to watch the video. Agree or Disagree. Thank you!

Well that sucks
Sucks to be Aerith..
NOOOOOOO
Shit.
Unlucky
It's either "kill aerith" or "kill the recreation of the most tragic moment in gaming history" xD that's kind of an easy choice to make from their end lol
“Love and friendship before ruin.”
*Cloud and Aerith met on Loveless Street. Oh my god.*
"Some fates can't be changed." They're doing the whole timeline hijinks thing to bamboozle people into thinking that Aerith might survive this time, since her death is such a massive spoiler.
Yes, this!!!
Grief and loss in HD. I’m not sure I can handle it this time.
Steins;Gate all over again
You haven't played FFX?
Flag on the play my man, flag on the play! Get the remastered version for steam. Trust me, that story is BEAUTIFUL.

I agree! I want more!
Press "L2" for "Story" and Square to "view chapter list." Scroll down to "Chapter 18" and go to "The Turning Point." It says the following:
"In the world beyond, Sephiroth shows Cloud a vision of the planet seven seconds before its demise.
It could be argued that Sephiroth isn’t “defeated” by Aerith’s actions... but in fact... immortalized.
@@schrodingersbabyseal Aerith realizing this in remake. Will she make the same decision?

Fantastic job Sleepezi, so glad to have another video from you! Top notch editing with a few scenes of actual laugh out loud moments. I will never unsee that Tifa X Sleepezi edit for the rest of my life. Thank you
Now...fan art lol
Dude. Meteor coming into contact with the lifestream makes a spiritual record of it that sephiroth can draw upon in the end of remake. Wow.
I thought about that as well
Happy 1st anniversary for this channel and thanks for all the entertaining and mind boggling videos, and the work u clearly put in to them.
SLEEPEZI YOU ARE BACK AND MY BODY IS READY.
TAYLOR!!! Glad your here! :)
(removed in post.)
but I appreciate how much of an understanding you have of why that happened.
SLEEPEZI YOU MAD MAN, YOU PREDICTED IT... make a video on FF7R: Intergrade plsssssss
No.
It's CLEARLY not "what is being set up."
Stop cheerleading for Square to retcon the most important moment in the history of videogames because you don't want to feel sad.
Lol 😂

I love it. Thank you!!

I really like the new format with the comedy and a Materia-less Bugenhagen :D
While watching, you gave me a few nudges towards how I can better formulate the conclusion of my upcoming Cloud vs Sephiroth video (series), so thanks for that!
However, that's for another video :P
Anyway, I really appreciate your work and it's always a pleasure to receive more insight into the compilation and thus more context to what's happening in Remake.
I clicked so fast before I realized it was set to premiere tomorrow. Dang it! lol
I hope it was worth the wait. lol Sorry for the tease!

My dude has incredibly entertaining pieces that still manage to break down a cohesive view of the entire FF7 universe AND fucks with "Birth of a God"? My dude you just got yourself another patreon subscriber.
It blows my mind that your views and subscriber count aren't higher. Your videos are great and made me appreciate the FF7 series as a whole even more.
I was laughing for most of the video but now that I've almost finished it I'm crying... I don't want aerith to die again :'(
I do.
Then don't play remake
Would be cool if they follow through with the concept of changing fate and Aerith survives in the remake. We have seen Aerith die over and over again for 20 years already. I would be happy with an alternate story since they have already placed it very elegantly in a separate reality where fate has been challenged and defeated. It would also fit nicely with the concept of friendship from AC where the team is more than just a sum of its members and the teamwork empowers the individuals to challenge their own limits. I hope the Aerith in this universe is saved and Zack is alive so their story has closure.
I agree with you, hope she lives 🤞🏻
Your passion, humility and appreciation of the help you receive is truly impressive. And while I do have things to say about the content in the video I must first mention; keep up the the open transparency of those emotional expressions.

Thank you very much for this, and thank you for watching!
Dude. I've come to absolutely love these videos, you've seemed to be spot on. Top notch man kudos and thank you for all the work you do
Chiming in for clarification... do you mean the Hieroglyphics that tell the story of the black materia?
@@schrodingersbabyseal Yup exactly. Egyptian-like people are depicted in those.

The elusive Sleepezi shows himself
Don’t forget that the connection between the lifestream and the water area is basically said out loud by Genesis when he explains his theory. “The greatest mystery behind the gift of the goddess? The waters surface, and the answer I have come to, is the lifestream” something like that. 29:13
If they decide not to have Aerith die, they need to replace that event with something just as shocking. Equivalent exchangeee

The crazy thing is I don't want to save just Aerith, but I feel the game subtly gives the player hope to redeem Sephiroth as well, as that seems to be the only way to stop him ultimately, is to save him.
someone: and was it worth it?
me: that was worth every damn minute!
I am so glad you think so Pez!!! I miss you guys on stream! I hope to be doing that more now that the video is out! D:<

@@Sleepezi My pleasure bro!
Wtf this video was amazing. Great job!
10:34 in all honesty, i would've thought that's how Ilfana would look like if she ever made an appearence
there are a TON of things that remind me of her in there as well, just how everyone wears some clothes around their waist and such.
I do believe she is doing this for a very important reason ( like I believe it was Sephiroth that started this not Aerith .in way in advent children Sephiroth did intend this when he said I will never be memory . )
I do believe her mission is to make sure Sephiroth doesn't come back from his death again
Hope you don't mind:
1) Sephiroth's final defeat will occur, assuming it's part of the elements of fate that cannot be changed;
2) As hard as Sephiroth tries to change his ultimate fate, he is bound to fail. This sadly includes Aerith as well, and since Sephiroth almost certainly knows killing her was his greatest mistake, he will try his best to keep her alive this time around, leading to a possible sacrificial death of her part to save the planet from destruction, in line with what was said before;
3) On A Way To A Smile states clearly that, as long as Cloud is alive, Sephiroth will always keep himself from being dissolved within the lifestream, by focusing on his hatred for him. We also know that the One-Winged Angel can reform his body as long as Jenova's remains exist in the physical world. This means that, if Sephiroth is to be ultimately defeated, not only must every trace of Jenova be destroyed, but Cloud himself must die to finally eradicate Sephiroth. Maybe Genesis will play a part in this, as it's his role to protect the world, according to CC Ultimania;
4) In the OG, Cloud's desire was to be reunited with Aerith and Zack in the Promised Land.

I’m officially requesting a T-shirt with your frog’s final form with pajama pants floating cross-legged amongst the heavenly light.
I want the challenge of explaining it to those who do not understand.
The higher the stakes, the more the tragedy.
Thank you for saying it so simply.

@@Solid-guyperfectly said. I couldn’t have said it any better ✨👍
The only way to re capture the emotion from Vanilla FF7 is to have Zack witness her death this time.
