Hi Bob and Jenny, we rented a Swift motorhome with the same twin bed layout earlier this year. We found it was not easy to get down those high steps in the middle of the night! The large storage area forces the bed nearly onto the ceiling! The good part is no locker above to hit your head on. Enjoy your search.
Hi Bob and Jenny, We liked the Adamo 75-4T apart from the WC. Surely it would be far better to have a completely raised floor in the WC instead of the ridiculous internal step up to the WC.
Great show video with some really interesting vans. The twin bed bedroom looked very cozy and storage seemed great in the Bailey Adamo (twin bed one) - not sure I would fit though at 6’5 ish - very nice van though by the look of it. Great that they are all automatic too. (That one was my favourite and it’s a new one I think) The Adamo definitely seems (from the video) look better than the Swift - I always admired the swift (nearly bought a Kontiki Sport 560, had I not hired one to try it I would have) - will have a look first hand on Thursday. Not sure what I make of the wheel arch in the shower too. Very interesting look around - thank you - always food for thought… enjoy your look around tomorrow. All the best, David 👍
Hi Bob and Jenny thanks for sharing your thoughts and indeed the video, very informative. A few issues we noted from the motorhomes you visited that some had no splash backs for the sinks which means that any splashes or spills are right onto the seat, no extract above the cooker or in the main living area, reduced storage space, no microwave in some and the usual sqeaky doors on the Swifts. Enjoy the show and take care. 👍❤
Hi Bob and Jenny, loved the Bailey Adamo, I can see you both happy in that motorhome. It was nice to look at the caravans too, they are beautiful inside. Thank you for showing us around x
Hi Bob and Jenny, I'm a bit surprised that you were interested at all in the Voyager range as they won't tow your car. We have been told by Lowdhams that the Ford Transit chassis cannot accommodate a tow bar of any kind :(
Bear in mind this video is from last year, but we borrowed a Bailey Adamo 75-4i that had a tow bar fitted, so unless there is some other reason, like the body work on the Voyager, the Ford Transit can be fitted with a tow bar. Ford have to fit chassis extension pieces. However the towing capacity is poor. It is around 1000kg max on F Line Auto-Trail and 750kg on Bailey Adamos. We realise that we'd have to give up towing if we went for any Ford based motorhome.
So glad i saw your review before i go to nec tomorrow. The Bailey looks fabulous. Will take a look ourselves. We were disappointed with the 584 with the height of beds and step up when we saw one a couple of weeks ago. Taking a detailed look at 594 tomorrow. Payloads on the Swift Voyages with Auto are awfull for the 3500 models. Bailey doesnt look enough as well. Forget the garages . We are now looking potentially at Escapes with upgrade to 3700 , or looking at other manufacturers. Will see what happens tomorrow.
Enjoyed your first tour of the show, went for the first time earlier this year and vowed not again, far too busy in my opinion and apart from getting the occasional access to view inside we decided it was not for us, your tours are great and much appreciated, so thank you. Looking for our first camper van and I can see prices have done nothing but increase, as for getting a good deal from dealerships at the moment that seems a long way off, salespersons don't seem to bother to make the effort! Look forward to your next video 👍
Great video. It’s definitely got to be the first Bailey Adamo you looked at - the 75-4T 👍😃 - seems ideal for you both. Nice to see Aileen. Hope she and Bob have a great show. (We were there today, but unfortunately missed her stand - got sidetracked and then ran out of steam!!) 🐶🐱
I must admit the first Bailey you looked at was the best layout and if you were disappointed with the Voyager 584 at least you're in the right place to look at others you might fancy and one might stand out that you've not even considered!
I really like the Adamo 60-4. It has many things we like. How easy was it to walk under the upper bed and did it go right down to the sofa level? Take care Gill
Thanks, we didn't try the drop down bed on the 60-4 but I imagine it's the same bed as the 69-4, which goes fairly low. Have a look at our series on the Adamo 69-4.
@@BobEarnshawMoHo Hi I watched you using the 69-4 and really liked that but felt that was too big for us. I will check again to see if it does go all the way down. Take care Gill
Thank you for the tour of the new Adamo twin beds - we have had an Adamo 74 4I on order since March this year - just been informed that the expected build date is late June /early July next year - would be interesting to know when they intend to start manufacturing this model, as it would suit us better than the island bed - apart from the price increase. So we first looked the price has increased by £13,000.
Yes Bob - I think we’re paying about £68,000. We may end up trading it up for the different bed layout - really liked the space from seeing it on your blog. Waiting times are just so long . It was due in March 2023.
Great tours. The 1st bedroom layout with the storage areas and smaller steps was the winner for me. So much more open feeling, but as you say a smaller garage.
Great show, our first and the end of our first year, we found you during the year before when doing our research, and your videos have been invaluable, thank you. One of the the highlights of our first year, was parking behind you this weekend at the campsite. Tonia, 'speed walked' :) :) to catch you both and your friend up to say hello and how much we enjoy your channel. Thanks again, see you again and keep up the excellent work ...and enjoy the rest of the show. Will & Tonia [Rapscallion Dreamer D55]
Hello Bob & Jenny - not able to go to the show this year, so thank you for the review - great as always. Have Bailey fixed the grey waste system on the Adamo? - which I recall was under the centre of the van in your review. Any thoughts on whether Bailey have improved their quality control? Thank you
Jenny did not look impressed with the Swift 584. In both of your opinions which brand wins the quality award? You have a Swift and have tested the Adamo and now have had a look at both at the show. Interested in your opinions.
We liked bits of both and would like a combination. Think we preferred the Adamo, but if we say that, I'm sure someone will say that's because they lent us a couple. 🤔😊
Cannot believe you did not like the 584. I thought it was the star if the show. Fantastic van Massive value for money. Wish I could have one please.
Lovely caravan, spacious and nice
Like the first Bailey we saw, to start with,
Really like the Cadiz caravan, very nice
Thanks for the tour, loved the Cadiz and the motor homes 👍🏴🏴🏴🏴👍
Some lovely vans but eye-watering prices!
Yes the Baileys had a increase around £4k...

Yes, we don't want to be way up in the air!
Thats what is putting us off why we looked at Island layout.
Good video to give me some idea around which parts to visit when I come to the show at the weekend 🙂
Well done, enjoyed viewing your video thanks
Thanks
getting in the show early i would love that have a look around everything befroe everyone else dose
great 1st blog loved seeing my personel favorite the adamo range
Those caravans are lovely, be nice to put one on a seasonal pitch, my friends were at the show today they said was a nightmare on the m42.
Yes, best to stay over, the roads are so busy.
@@BobEarnshawMoHo They only live a short drive away
Loved the caravans thanks for the tour
Nice video , thanks from Spain ...
Great review folks, many decisions to be made. 👌
We ordered our 75-4 DL in 2020 and took delivery in September 2021. 60K. Those price rises are eye watering. And the spec is very similar.
Yes the price rise is a bit much!
Great video, look forward to more 👍👍👍👍

They both have wheel arch intrusion, the Adamo the worst.

Yes, we have the same problem, we always keep a throw on the sofas.
I do like that German layout for the bed.
Some lovely layouts and vans, thanks both for taking us with you. Em💛
You're welcome, thanks for watching

Oh. If you see any portable induction hobs, I'd be really interested as our van doesn't have an electrical hob.
Hi Jenny , near side is kerb side/passenger side . Off side is usually drivers side ;-)

Thank you. Prices will continue to rise whilst demand is strong and inflation is high. A sellers market!
@@BobEarnshawMoHo Agree 100% both new and used, is it time for that new motorhome Bob 😉
That first swift looks really nice and as you said near perfect for you and Jenny plus Poppy, or do you want to have shorter van.
Not really after something short, no storage.

Yes, never know...
I like both the Adamo & the new Voyager but as both come with poor payloads for two let alone 4 We'll be keeping our F Line... for now!
Yes payloads are low, and that's another thing that puts us off.
I really like the Adamo 60-4. It has many things we like. How easy was it to walk under the upper bed and did it go right down to the sofa level? Take care Gill

To be honest, I forgot to look, I was told they were fitting a fixed pipe. I'll try and have another look if I get time.
As for quality control, we had very few problems with the last one we borrowed, which was a press vehicle and early production.
Do like this one,

@@BobEarnshawMoHo Always prefer an honest opinion Bob. Thank you.
The Baileys ,
I think the bed extender is a great idea although I'm not sure how a price tag of just 70 pence under £500 can be justified.
Watch tonight's video and you will get a better idea of it.
How much was that bed extender, first glance I saw £49, but when you panned again I saw £499. Great idea though.
I will talking to the designer today, so have a watch of that.
Wow, £500 for a bit of mattress and a support, seems a bit steep. Some lovely motorhomes though.
Depends how much you value a good nights sleep, but the straight2sleep is a substantial piece of aluminium.
Bed extender £500, crikey
If you don't sleep well, it's a price you would pay?
@@BobEarnshawMoHo I think not
