As a Graphic Designer and Photo Retoucher/Restorer, this was very informative. I plan on picking up the i7-256GB/8GB version to replace my almost 8 year old PC. I already have a Microsoft Wedge Keyboard which will work fine for my shortcuts and save me money having to get the type cover, and I'll be getting the pen, but unfortunately the new pen isn't available in Aus yet. It's nice to see actual photographers and designers using this and seeing work in action. Thanks

you missed to mention the Micro SD card slot on the back(beneath the kick stand)

We mentioned that it does not have an SD reader, but in our full review we do cover the microSD reader.

Hi! There is a Surface Pen Tip Kit for changing out the nibs and the micro SD card slot behind the kickstand!

Hey. Great review. But did u say that the Pro did not have an SD card reader? It has a micro SD card slot at the back of the tablet (behind the kickstand)

Dude, you can map your own keys to the dial. It's in settings. Also, the dial can be app specific.

Why do reviewers get the models that only ~10% of actual consumers will get?

Should try the Surface Doc that has tons of extra ports like HDMI, USB3'S, etc.... that goes into the normal charging port.

1:24 All day battery use? That's too vague. How about giving exact numbers in hours and what conditions you used to test it with. Not everyone's going to get the 13.5 hours claimed.

It would depend on the i5 or i7 model. Apparently the consensus is that the i5 gets about 8-9 hours of moderate use and the i7 models gets a tiny bit less. The 13.5 hours is a standardised (and non-intensive) video playback test.

Do you think the i7 8 GB RAM version will struggle handling large photo files editing? or even the i5 8 GB RAM?

I had the surface pro 3 (i7/8GB) - it was fine editing my Nikon D810 RAW files (36 MP)
So the 2017 model Surface pro should not struggle either.

How about the i5 4g 128ssd with student daily use ?

Why on earth would you be surprised that a fully spec'd newest-gen i7 machine can handle large, uncompressed files?? In any case, thanks for the review, it went a refreshing, interesting direction compared to some others!

Great device, but not enough of a difference to switch from a Surface Pro 4. I got the 128GB/4GB i5 model with Type Cover and Surface Pen for 500 euros. Can't beat that value.

C'mon. Who in the world would ever use a Surface Pro to do image editing on a sunny day outside at the beach? It's just not happening. Ever. Still, all the RUclips reviews act like everyone does stuff like that.

next time: when you speak, music down! why do you make it so annoying listening to you ??? music is cool, yeah, everybody needs that... but not that loud when someone is talking... stupid to mention that, but okay, you are producer, no viewer.....
