I grew up with the classic Christopher reeve costume and still think of that when I think superman.i guess some things are timeless and we should embrace that

The scene where he lifts up the car to save his dad from getting hurt. I saw one of my childhood friends get hit by a car so that scene always gets to me. He lived thank goodness but we thought he was dead. It was a vw beetle in our neighborhood at sunset he was riding a big wheel, so practically on the ground. I told him before he went across the street to look both ways but the girl couldn’t see him bc of the sunset. And his head broke the headlight. But the worst part was his older brother screaming and trying to get out of his own body on the metal door of our storm cellar omg it was horrible. the parents threw my friend in their car and took off to the hospital and I had to stay with his brother. They didn’t even talk to us just left with him. It would have been really useful to be that strong and also to be able to fly his brother to see him right away. And turn back time too. I should get that movie for my kids :) but it won’t mean the same to them bc they never had to live through something like that thank goodness.
