Now THAT is a Superman costume! That's probably my favorite looking Superman costume out of all of them (comics, games, and movies). It just looks so iconic and eye catching, and those colors are perfect! Somehow, this is how I've always imagined Superman to look like, and you've captured it perfectly.
When I see vids like this of cosplayers saying they wear muscle suits under a costume, my first thought is “well that’s just cheating.” But now that I’m looking at doing my own cosplays I’m like “that’s genius.”

The cw should have went with your design and made the cape buckles on his subtle. I hate them on Tyler’s suit, but I really like them on yours. Your suit looks absolutely fantastic! But I do think you need different boots though. They just don’t fit right with the rest of the suit.
While Tyler has a great body, his shoulders seem to roll forward and are less broad than Cavill, Routh and Welling. I think they went with the larger buckle to round him out more.
@@elmichellangelo Way back when, strongmen at the circus would wear tights to accentuate themselves during their impressive feats of strength and power but these tights weren’t the most concealing thing in the world, the outline of their dicks would be very visible, so these strongmen eventually donned the trunks look in order to hide it And that’s why Superman wears trunks Thanks to circus strongmen the trunks were a symbol of how tough someone was way back when, just drawing someone with the “underwear” was more than enough to let people know “hey this guys stronger than us” We don’t immediately recognize the iconography now which I can’t blame anyone but time for but they’re pretty well a staple of his design at this point and he looks kind of incomplete without them in my opinion It could always be explained away as a kryptonian thing like maybe Superman cracks a joke something along the lines of “I’m so sorry that the cultural fashion of my race doesn’t appeal to you” followed by the guy asking him about being completely flustered
I just happened to stumble upon this surfing other Superman suit videos...and I have to say ...THIS is what we should have seen in the new films right here...as someone previously mentioned this is a perfect balance of maintaining the classic Superman look and vibrant colors also while updating the suit for a modern audience giving the suit a more unearthly Kryptonian look to it....this in my opinion is what we should have gotten vs the more muted darkened suit colors....well done!

I agree.. the color is off on the trunks... and he was right when he said he needs to make them an actual separate piece, or at least have them be an additional layer sewn onto the suit. Also, Chris if you read this... the cape... A few more inches so it falls to mid CALF please.... and then add the all gold "S" to the back... I know it's not in every version, but it would give yours a classic feel that I think has been missing since Christopher Reeves. That's just my opinion and we all know what else everyone has... But fantastic suit.

It is different yet remains tastefully traditional in all the right ways. The "S" suit just seems right on you, doesn't matter if your wearing a muscle suit or not. Batman Dawn Of Justice technically I was a collaborative suit as with most cosplayer is. In the vid Chris acknowledge the team that helped out look and placement for the cap, the artists that made the emblem/ belt/ even the suit itself and the pattern
iicustoms I’d say it was 70% Chris, 30 percent others. While it is true that he couldn’t have made anything of that quality ENTIRELY on his own, he was still the mastermind of it all and assembled most of it on his own. And the same argument could be said about the CW designers. Sure they had the designers who were the masterminds of it all, but they also many workers who actually built the suit, so it’s still like comparing about 5 freelance non-semi professional people to I don’t know, maybe 25 professionals who work for a large company. But it’s the CW, and quality isn’t exactly their first, middle, or last name, so it makes sense.

I feel like Tyler Hoechlin’s suit really compliments supergirls. It also really shows the CW’s idea of the comics coming to life. Not to badass or gritty because the shows are supposed to be truer to the comics than the movies.

Hey Chris. Can you try the CW batsuit? I got a picture of a version that’s a combination of some of my favorite suits. Telltale armor, a little Dark Knight rises and CW cowl and gauntlets.
Love to cosplay but one thing i would change is how the cape attaches to the suit i would use magnets and metal washers or clamps as a necklace to it would be a easy on and off i would most definitely use that for a doctor strange cosplay so you can mimic that one scene from the movie

Looks so glorious! I should say tho, if you ever decide to redo the bodysuit you should print it on a blue fabric so it doesn't stretch white
