The bird Of Blüdhaven yeah the boot polish wouldnt work given that the suit just had the design printed on fabric, and doesnt actually have any texture for the polish to grab onto, in the end he would basically be painting his suit black which would ruin it.

so dope! believe it or not I finally watched BVS the other night and despite what people said about the film it was in my opinion really good. so this inspired me to try to tackle making batman's batarangs out of SHEETMETAL. being an electrician doing construction a lot you come to learn it's like heaven for a cosplay person. I'm in the early stages but I've made some things here and there. watching your videos has inspired me and I've learned some things here and there

The suit is fabric, so I doubt the shoe polish would actually work. It looks great on plastic, but on actual clothes it wouldn't work.

The screen suit had a used look and had lot's of creases and folding. He was trying to emulate that and did a damn fine job of it in my opinion.
