It’s a masterpiece!! Robert rocks it… John Paul Jones is fire!!! Of course Jimmy and Jason pounds it!! His father would be so proud! I know the guys are!!
I really became aware of Led Zeppelin back when I was 12, with the release of Physical Graffiti. I was raised on jazz, Soul, and RnB. Kashmir was the song that drew me in. The beat was so compelling and the music so hypnotizing that I was sold. As I got deeper into their catalogue I just found them to be such powerful artists. They could strike a whole range of emotions, both dark and light and were all such accomplished musicians. And in my opinion they received such harsh criticism during their careers because they would not settle for easy categorization as this or that type of musical group. The GOATS, pure and simple.
Such a supreme joy to have this second look at excellence and what entranced us decades ago. No crazy guitar or drum solos which would have interfered with the hypnotic grip of this piece. Page knew that long ago. Jason SOLIDLY in that pocket. Plant & Jones made it true LZ. Damn that was good.
Wow, didn't know you guys had reacted to this. Just finding it now. This whole concert was amazing, I was one of millions(?) who applied for tickets, but of course I didn't get them. The whole band shines here, but Jason Bonham stands out as does Plant's vocals.
@@TheThamesmen Curious find a non Brazilian, that was in the same concert, watching its youtube reaction... Maybe we can go together in the next zepp concert...who knows... Greetings from Brazil
Hang on. I never got a notification for this one. I could have sworn I scrolled through all your LZ vids and never saw this one until now. Weird. Anyway, Kashmir is just an incredible song. I was pleasantly surprised at how good they sounded when this came out. This, No Quarter, and Achilles Last Stand have always been my favorites.
I missed this one.....didn't get a notification. My favourite performance of this song. Even better than when they were young. Black Dog live from MSG next please
The song was written when they were in Morocco, so you are right, it has that Middle Eastern sound, even though the title confuses things a bit. I always thought that JPJ has been underated a bit, but this band has solid contributions from all 4 members. I can't believe that Robert Plant still has such a voice at his age. (BTW I used to sing quite a bit of karaoke when I lived in Japan, and I used to encourage my friend to sing Black Dog. The reason being, he had to use falsetto to sing it and it would ruin his voice for the night, and I would have more mic time. ;-) )
Got it still? Oh yeah- Robert and the lads... sublime! (btw the algorithm seems to have directed you away from me- I had to come looking for this one). Peace from Canada.
I disagree, though I do listen to that version often; in my humble opinion - perhaps because it was the last flight of the Zeppelin, I don't know, I just think the whole chemistry, gestalt thing just is epitomized in this O2 performance.
It does get better than that, easily. The Bachio brothers cover of Kashmir in the 7th grade battle of the bands. Oh yeah read em and weep Led Zeppelin, Take that!
The live track is good for what it is but no question the original studio track off the '75 Physical Graffiti album is far better. Or the remastered studio track from the Mothership cd. The only 2 that I will listen to..

One of the all-time classic tracks. Thank you for your support
Perfection. Jason Bonham is a monster in this performance. No, it doesn't get better than this.
I agree
He ain’t his Dad, and the D-3 Hammond sounded way better! 🤷🏻♂️
This is in many ways, Led Zeppelin at their peak.
This is as close to Led Zeppelin as you could get, and Jason was brilliant. But Led Zeppelin ended when John Bonham died.

They were Trail Blazers who kicked some arse!

HNY and thanks for being here.
This is 27 years after they broke up in 1980. Older, wiser and at their peak without all the chaos of the 70’s. Brilliance.

Yes JPJ is often overlooked!! Certainly shines here!!
Robert Plant wrote the lyrics, it was about a trip to Morocco. Poetry
Yes the live performance in 1979 at Knebworth!!
We were together in the Page & Plant tour in Sao Paulo/Brazil...funny to know that almost 30 years later...best concert in my life...for sure
How cool. It was an amazing night. Absolutely one of the best. Few shows I remember as well

Peace from San Fran! Happy New Year from George and Alex!
One of a Million
Brillient
Glorious - the power and the grace of them all ...
Power and Grace is perfect description
The answer - no. The greatest rock song - EVER. By the greatest rock group - EVER
TY the Thamesmen and Led Zeppelin
Thanks for the support. We appreciate it
Their best performance ever !
Pretty wild right?
#zep4life
The comment that led to their name was uttered by Keith Moon from the Who.
Perfect. Thank you for the update we always appreciate people keeping us on the straight and narrow
It's said that Led Zeppelin has sold between 200 - 300 million albums worldwide, i believe only The Beatles &.Queen have sold that amount
They are a huge artist. Way bigger than people imagine!
@@TheThamesmen > They sure were, The O2 concert had 20,000 tickets for sale & over 20 million requests for those same tickets
It does get better actually!!! The 1979 version is superior!!

well we saw what we wanted now let's leave this planet (kidding unless you're an alien)
HA HA :)

True they are gold standard but Live is always a good energy
Only a idiot would say this is not amazing
Zep set the standard with their live shows. There will never be another.
Still thinks the D-3 Hammond sounded better, like on the ORIGINAL! 🤷🏻♂️
Yes, it gets way better than this, try Kashmir at Knebworth 1979
Ohhhh
@@TheThamesmen that was a really really good version. Do check it out
I expected Benny Hill to come on.
He dead!
GOATS...WHAT WITH THE WOKE CRAP! Celebration day isn’t the whole band. Dudes do the original.
Thanks for the message and take care. Cheers G&A
