This entire show is fire. The odds were completely against them....and they turned in a performance for the ages. Most likely the last time we will ever see the original 3 together in concert again....and what a way to end their run.

For me, this is the best version of Kashmir ever. I can only imagine what Bonzo would have done but, I think he is so proud of Jason. The whole concert is 🔥🔥. When you have time, I hope you watch the entire concert. This is why Led Zeppelin can’t be beat. At 59, 61, and 63, Robert, John, and Jimmy rocked it better than most bands do in their prime. This is the way you want to go out as performers. They quit when Bonzo died, and while there have been some iterations of “Led Zeppelin”, there was never an entire concert with the three original band members. Plus, I feel it was fitting that Jason sat behind his dad’s kit (and it is Bonzo’s actual kit) and fulfill his lifelong dream of playing a concert with his father’s mates. This final concert of Led Zeppelin plus Jason was the perfect swan song. They all were still great and the audience and fans around the world were able to see that. As a major fan of Led Zeppelin would I have wanted them to tour after this? Of course! However, I accept and respect that they showed the world, one more time, the greatest Rock Band of all time.
I know that JPJ, Jimmy, and Jason wanted to tour but, Robert said no. It’s difficult for a vocalist to sing at this level night after night when you are 59. He had a tour with Alison Krause coming up and he would have had to figure out a way to combine the two. Robert would only tour with LZ again if he thought his voice could do it. I think he realized that he might not live up to expectations, and he could ruin his voice for all time. As it is, he is still touring, at 76, this year with Allison, and then separately with his band Saving Grace. Thank God we have the videos and the albums we do. Led Zeppelin can live on to inspire generations to come.
Note: there were 20 million requests for tickets from around the world for the concert. The O2 Arena sits 20,000. In the end they did it the fairest way possible - a lottery. You could only buy 2 tickets IF your name was pulled, and you had to prove you were that person. No other people could use the tickets.
Understandable for all parties involved, if they felt like they ran their course as a band and no longer wants to provide anymore music and instead go on their own journeys then you can only respect it as a fan, their impact will still live on as im living proof of it, i can’t wait to check out their next album, thanks for commenting as always and wow 20 millions is insane!
Jason Bonham would probably be considered one of the all-time greatest drummers if he wasn't John Bonham's son, because he is one of the best drummers ever. He started playing when he was 5, and obviously had an awesome role model.
As I think I told you, Jason is Plants godson, & I know he really loves Jason. Jason listened to all their songs & practiced all his dad’s drumming, he said because he didn’t know what they planed to play. Bonzo had him playing since he was about 5, & was so proud of him. I think it was JPJ who said they were setting up for a concert, Bonzo had Jason play while he went in the stands to check the sound. JPJ said he thought it was Bonzo play, until he turned around & saw Jason.
I’m so glad you decided to do this progressively, instead of how most do it. Yes they sounded great, & Jason does an amazing job. Plant could still belt it out, not as easily as he once could, but still absolutely amazing. Thank you so much.

For Jason this is the reality of his long time dream of playing in Led Zeppelin, sitting in for dad, and playing with his 'uncles'. Jason always wanting to sit for dad and have the band reunite. Plant stood in the way. Bonzo was his best friend and it pained him to play with the band and have John gone. Even if Jason was sitting in.
I personally think that was why JPJ was left out when Page and Plant got together to do some music in the 90s. With the two it was just two friends jamming.
With JPJ it was a reunion and the absence of Bonham would hang heavy over Robert. And People would demand concerts, etc. Robert just never completely got over losing his bestie.
Great recording quality. This performance by a bunch of elderly geezers (plus a younger drummer) will live forever!
All of your followers already said what needs to be said, except they left out the tears at the end of the show. For any Led Zeppelin fan, 27 years was a long wait for the GOATS.

The only bad thing about this show is that they did such a phenomenal job that it’s almost guaranteed to be the final performance of Led Zeppelin. …just as the shambles of their Live-aid and Atlantic 40th reunions were a big motivating factor for this show to happen… redemption, and they absolutely nailed it and cemented their legacy as the band against all others are measured.

My name came up on the reserve list for this (many thanks to whoever dropped out) and I got 24 hrs to buy up to 2 tickets - they were £125/$250 a piece which was no mean sum at the time so I could only afford the one - I immediately contacted a friend who I was sure would take the other but he actually turned it down as he thought they would be sure to announce a full tour straight after and he didn't want to turn up to a 'rehearsal'. So I ended up going on my own and to this day never get tired reminding him he passed on the last chance to see them live.
I remember it was reported when the tickets went on sale, over 20 million people attempted to access the website for tickets and it crashed! While this isn’t technically Led Zeppelin, I’m thankful they did this one show and they got it right. I’m also thankful they DID NOT tour in subsequent years, which I believe would have risked their legacy. We’ve got plenty of material that will last forever.

I tend to agree with you in that all three are just fantastic. I do find this one quite powerful but, the other two have something about them that is outstanding as well.
I will tell you there are some stunning performances in the videos of this concert. I really liked them doing Since I've Been Loving You here and they really tear it up with Ramble On and Black dog and Rock n Roll. They really outdid themselves during this concert. check out other videos from it.
They also did a good version of Going To California here as well. They did a lot of great songs at this concert.
Jason Bonham was playing Trampled Underfoot when he was 5. According to John Bonham.

Shortly after the death of John, Robert said that Jason could have taken over drums then. Problem is the band was all but done by that point. They used John's death as an excuse.
Jason played for several groups including Journey and his own group.
Jason did an amazing job, its a shame we’ll never really get to here what led zeppelin with jason bonham sounds like, (except this of course)

Hey at the end of August I’m going to see the Led Zeppelin tribute band called Get The Led Out, I’ve heard they are really good, I hope they are. No sadly it’s not the same, but something fun to do, even though I’m going by myself. If my sons girlfriend lived closer she’d go with me, her father raised her to be a Zeppelin fan, that’s just one reason I love her. Cant wait for you to react to Achilles Last Stand, another I know you will love, I’ll be waiting.

@@ToMitoReacts1017 oh I will definitely, thankfully I don’t have to get tickets through Ticketmaster. I checked into going near Philly to take my sons & his girlfriend, shit seats sitting in a field started at $85, that’s before all the extra charges. Where at a community arts theater near me, the best tickets are less then that. Better seats near Philly were between $400 & $700, for the real deal YES I’d pay that.
GTLO is *really* good; I've seen them several times and they put their heart and soul into it. I'd love to know what you thought of them afterward.

Celebration Day was not Led Zeppelin, don't care what people say. It was a good show , personally I thought they did great. But this is not Led Zeppelin. This is one of Jimmy's exposure exercises. Long may they reign.
