  • In this video, I am testing the practical applications of the new Model 3, in response to a couple of viewer questions.
    Want to know how many suitcases will fit in the boot? If a pushchair will go in lengthways? Can an adult sit in-between two baby seats in the back?
    Stay tuned to find out!

      There's a new Y coming as well. and since they redesigned the 3 to be like a mini S, one would expect the new Y to be like a mini X.

      @PaulsViewsReviews  25 дней назад +2

      The updated Y, code named Juniper, won’t be ready in 2025 (for some reason) and is more than likely to still be the model 3 on stilts and with a hatchback. That said, I love the look of the new 3 so it stands to reason that I’ll love the look of the new Y.

    Model 3 has a short range, then long time at the superchargers. Not practical for a road trip.
    Camry Hybrid gets 1014 km on a tank of petrol, then 5 minutes to refill the tank. Tesla cannot compare to that!
    Camry also has better build quality, nicer interior, and a full dashboard. And a Turn Signal Stalk .

    • @PaulsViewsReviews
      @PaulsViewsReviews  21 день назад +4

      Thanks for your comment, but it’s not so transparent.
      Undeniably, a model 3 won’t get the singular range of a hybrid with a big tank but superchargers aren’t slow and, for safety and wellbeing, you still need to take breaks every couple of hundred miles. The difference is that an EV driver can park up, go to the toilet and buy a sandwich WHILE their car is ‘refuelling’. When you do need fuel, which is undeniably less often, you need to stand by your car while doing it and THEN park up.
      Your car’s hybrid facility takes up room to accommodate a battery and small motor, costing you boot/trunk space - 70 litres less than a model 3, excluding the under boot storage and frunk. Not as practical for a road trip.
      As for build quality, I couldn’t argue with you on the earlier Tesla’s, but this new one is a different story. It’s certainly no worse than a mass produced car like a Toyota.
      Oh, and I know it’s subjective, but I’d choose the minimalist Tesla interior over the slightly cluttered mass of plastic that you find in a Toyota interior. However, that point is just a matter of preference, so I take on board you might not agree and that is why it’s great that we’re lucky enough to have choices.
      Thanks for watching.

    • @DerekDavis213
      @DerekDavis213 21 день назад

      @@PaulsViewsReviews The hybrid doesn't have a big gas tank, it gets 52 miles/gallon. That is where the long range comes from.
      Superchargers are much slower than a petrol station: 30 minutes versus 5 minutes!
      And if you take too long buying food and going to the bathroom, other Tesla owners will be mad at you if you take too much time at the Supercharger. The hybrid owner will NEVER have that problem.
      You did not mention the Turn Signal Stalk, which has been removed from the Model 3. For many people, this is a *serious* *problem* . A deal breaker.

    • @PaulsViewsReviews
      @PaulsViewsReviews  21 день назад +1

      @@DerekDavis213 hi again. Superchargers take 15 minutes to add 200 miles - perfect for a toilet break. Fair point about taking too long but I’ve never had that problem so can’t speak intelligently about it.

      That is totally *not* *true* , in California. I have witnessed the Supercharger myself. If many cars are charging at once, the charging speed will be reduced.
