I've been using Enhance's product called the Knob for the past few weeks, and it's a fantastic addition to my "Y." The software and hardware work seamlessly, and as you pointed out, updates to the product are available via OTA. Enhance Auto's customer support has been fantastic. Let's face it; Tesla designed the center screen for cost-saving reasons, and contrary to what Mr. Musk says, No part isn't always the best part. I'd rather press a button and play with a screen at high speeds. Yes, Tesla has voice commands, which aren't very well documented, and the voice commands don't work on every object available on the center screen. I have no affiliation with Enhance Auto; I just think they've produced fantastic products.
It was actually the 'S3XY Knob' that got my attention and I pre-ordered one for my car in May (it's not available for the Model 3 'Highland' until August). I then reached out to Enhance Auto to share my channel and ask if they could send me my pre-ordered Knob from the first batch to allow me to make a video ASAP. They came back to me, said they liked my content and were appreciative of the fact that I had purchased a product to use and review, rather than just emailed asking for freebies (which I imagine they get a lot), that they sent me a set of Buttons and the Commander module to review in the meantime! I was blown away! Great comms, great people AND great products!
It really is! Throw in the long hold to open the frunk and it’s worth every penny! If you are considering buying one, use the code ‘Paul’ at checkout to save 10% 👍🏼
How are the indicator buttons on a roundabout , which in the UK we have a ton of? I can only think it is a distraction having to find the right one in that situation
I’m getting used to it. You have to think in terms of the left one being slighter closer to the edge than the right, rather than top and bottom, so you don’t need to look at the wheel every time. It’s still a learning curve.
@@PaulsViewsReviews @SNORKYMEDIA You can put a s3xy button in the bottom triangle of the steering wheel. When pressed, let it indicate left in case ok UK (I have it right as I'm living in Belgium). When in a roundabout, it is in a perfect spot to press when you have to leave, and this solves for me all problems I had with the indicator buttons.
You will LOVE the car! The LR is incredibly rapid and definitely the pick of the range, given the choice. The colour combo is simply brilliant - I couldn't be happier! Throw in the Commander unit and S3XY buttons and it gets even better. You have an awesome week ahead!
Hey Paul. 1st time viewer and...WOW ...I'm blown away by your presentation. Clear, concise, comprehensively informative and presented in a non-egotistical, enthusiastic style....An unbelieveable amount of information.....luv it! Definitely a "must subscribe" channel...so I have done just that. Well done👍 P.s. I don't suppose you have a referral link to enhance auto by any chance?
That’s really kind. Thanks for everything you said - and for taking the time to do so. And, of course, welcome aboard! If you use the code Paul, you save 10% and I make a small percentage, too. Thanks for asking; I appreciate the support.
Excellent! They’re better than I expected but that Commander module is the jewel in the crown. Automatic Autopilot re-engagement and hold the handle to open the frunk is just fab! That alone is worth the money.
So, if the commander module can read everything of your car, how much of that info gos to the company behind, and how much can they now control your car
It's a good question and one which only they can answer. They will likely have access to some data but I can't tell you what potential control they could implement. I have not had a look, but I imagine there is a GDPR section on their website somewhere which tells you the answers.
@@PaulsViewsReviews cheers, just asked them about putting a speed limiter function and they are looking. I will use your code and order. Cheers! Aftermarket stalls next?
Great instruction regarding the SEXY buttons. I hadn't considered them but now I am thinking about it!..Do you not have a link where you get some recognition as driving possible sales?
I can't see how it would. The Command unit plugs into an existing port for data transfer - no wires are being cut or damaged in any way. It is a worthwhile enhancement that has no detrimental impact.
You certainly can for many functions, and I certainly don't use it enough, but you can't have voice control make several functions happen at once. Plus, there's the functions which the car doesn't actually offer but the Commander unit will. Use both!
That’s odd - I’ve just tested it and it does for me. What country are you shipping to, as that might make a difference because of retailers in your country?
@@tnielsen6876 that’s the only explanation I can think of, as I know there are different distribution models globally. Perhaps send them a message and see of they’ll honour it - they’re really nice people to deal with.
It looks like you're in the US. In fact, here in the UK, cars don't tend to beep when they lock. The Tesla is the exception to the rule, weirdly. Thankfully, most locks are just a flash of the hazard lights and that's it - not too invasive, whatever the time of day.
Biggest issue with EVERY Tesla: the screen text is too small. Anyone that needs reading glasses cannot safely use a Tesla screen and drive. A Tesla is totally useless to me due to the small text. There needs to be more options to increase the text size (to 500% should be enough).
I've seen many videos on these buttons, somehow you managed to show the full potential, wonderful!
Happy to help!

Wow I had no idea this much functionally and fine tuning was offered with the SEXY buttons / command module.
Either did I until I started playing - very impressive piece of kit, and always improving, too.
Awesome video explaining the functionality of the commander/buttons. Thank you!
You’re welcome - got to admit, I was super impressed with some of the functionality!

Actually it is a brillant review video for both highland model 3 and Sexy commander+buttons in one video..Sensibly planned and executed.
Thanks for that - appreciate it.
Nice. Can't wait for Wednesday when I'm going to pick up my M3LR (same color combo as yours, btw). Already have the SEXY buttons, ready to install 😁

Very good video - Can you program a button to turn climate on/off for the backseat ?
You sure can!

would love an indicator button defining my Left and Right indicator buttons

Where do you buy these from? There is no UK outlet, can you recommend and what are the import taxes?
The link is in my description and you may well get hit with VAT at customs. I know this because my Knob just arrived and I had to pay.

can you assign high beam? the current high beam button is too far from my thumb and sometimes does now press in when pushed. model 3 highland
Just checked, and yes you can!

Beeping horns make neighbours angry.
I filmed in an empty car park this time, but yes, I believe it would.
I think we all have a neighbor that thinks they must hit the 'lock' button on their key fob numerous times at 2am.

Fair point - that is a relevant request that Tesla ought to take into account.
So Tesla remove buttons to save money and you spend money putting buttons in the car, mmmm.
Ha! I guess so 😂
It's suspension is horrible. Literally breaks my back everytime i ride it. I can feel every imperfection on the road
The updated 2024 model is much more comparable than the old, but it is still pretty solid. I like it.
