I've been looking into getting some lighting recently so I'm not restricted to only filming during the morning hours of sunlight 🔆 Thanks for sharing Ali!
This was fantastic - looking forward to seeing how you edit and more about your creative process. You are the best youtuber, so generous with sharing your tips and secrets, thank you so very much for all that you do :))
I don’t even have the slightest intention to make videos, but I find this video weirdly entertaining. Perhaps it’s the high quality lightning, audio, and frame. ;)
I love your down to earth style and presentation. You are an inspiration to me for truly being your authentic self and have fun filming. Thanks man, I appreciate your hard work.
If you edit in Premiere you can Sync the Audio to the Footage right there. Just select both clips and then right click and press synchronize. You rly produce nice content :)
Video that I’ve been waiting for! Yes yes please continue with how you do all the stuffs including editing. Thank you, Ali! Greetings from Indonesia 🇮🇩
I have been so awaiting this video... I love how you do your videos and would love to apply some of what you do to my new channel. I hope to learn how you do the timestamps animated graphic. Watching now!
Great video! I'd love to see how you actually go through the filming process. Do you script and practice before you film or do you freestyle? How many takes do you usually do? How do you make the filming process more efficient? Thank you in advance - your videos are super educational!
Ali, keep up the incredible work mate. Subscribed to your channel recently and I’m starting my own RUclips channel. The reason why I wanted to see your RUclips setup, and stumbled on this video, is because I wanted to invest heavily on production and gear as I don’t feel that I have the right camera charisma etc, something that looks like also resonated with yourself early on ☺️
Speaking from my own experience, buying equipment doesn't improve your camera presence. I still need to get used to being in front of the camera, And I use my Iphone 12 pro, DJI gimbal, recently also the DJI mic. And still stumble over my words etc. lol
I am absolutely digging all your videos! so informative and always more to learn, can't wait to binge-watch your channel lol and waiting for more contents! You got a new fan 😅😁👋
Hello Ali, could you please go more in detail next time? Why do you need zoom beside rode micro? how do you put all your records (audio, picture etc) together etc ? It would be great. Thank you.
Hey man I am currently preparing for a new school year and it is going to become quite hard... And right now I am making a plan on what I want to change next year and in your video about the stic system you talked about testing yourself. Now I have done some brief research and I havent really found different methods to do that other than flashcards and your google sheets idea. So I was wandering if you could make a video about that or at least give me some ideas where I can find good articles or books. thanks in advance and have a good day
Thank you for the video as always Ali, really very inspiring! I'm just starting out as a youtuber as well and i'm really intimidated by the setups those pro youtubers have. Now i understand, everyone has to start somewhere!
“I felt like I didn’t quite have the personality to just carry content without also having good production value” -this is exactly how I feel (but my videos aren’t as quality haha)
Hi Ali! A really quick question I’d like to ask! How on earth does your audio in this video sound really good by only using the Rode Video Mic Plus? Do you edit your audio in post production using a certain app or does it already sound that clear and crispy upon syncing your audio and footage? I know it’s been about almost 2 years since you posted this video but it’d truly be helpful to get a response from you. Thanks!
Love this series! Would be interested in hearing you talk about increasing retention rate on your videos and how you've incorporated visuals and motion/animated text. :-) p.s. your podcast is fantastic
Thank you Ali... it would be great to see how you edit your videos, how you write on your videos... f. e. on half scene we see you on the other half you write/make a List etc...
Great content as always! I'd love to see your storage process for videos and audio. What quality files you export for upload to RUclips, how you label your files and how you store them in terms of folders, directories etc. Thanks.

Amazing set. I still got a little intimidated with the amount of investment you're willing to put in creating your videos. lol. Having said that, your professional-looking videos are my biggest inspiration (both in studying and in making youtube videos) these days. So, thank you ^^ Please keep making more valuable content ^^
The Sony costs too much to not have a flip out lense 😑, still love your set-up, you posted while I'm editing and it helps me to keep going if I listen while working on production. TFS Ali.
Ali, great video. Do you have any resources or a video explaining how you plan the video scripts, or planning your skill share courses? Looking for insight on outlining and such.
Thank you for this walk-through. I love the content you're providing, and they have really encouraged me to keep pressing forward in my media presence. Questions: iPad iPad
Love this video! I've finally posted my first video and you've been a huge inspiration for me to get started. Really glad you posted this, would love to see more about your youtube process
Hi Ali . . . Great videos! It’s great to see a RUclipsr talk about how they make there videos. I am looking foreword to seeing more how to videos on how to do RUclips videos!
Nice setup. I like the look of your videos and the sound is always excellent. Two minor suggestions Give yourself about 4 more inches of headrooom ( distance between top of head and edge of screen) you always look a bit squished in and if you lead forward the 24mm lens means your hair escapes from the frame. Lighting is good, videos taken in daylight have a nice rimlight effect from the window ( light from behind illuminating edge of head) this tends to make the window side of your face look a bit dark. Try getting or making a small reflector to bounce some of the main light onto the darker side of your face. 12 inch Matt white would probably be fine. By the way you definitely have the charisma to create a great video with a smartphone on a selfie stick
How do you get all this time to do this kind of stuffs? Medical life is very challenging and there's shortage of time. I can't get enough time for studying let alone doing youtube, vlog etc lol.
I think it's first about quality work,(more quality less quantity) he spoke about his study techniques and recommended a book, plus as a medical student I can say we have some free time yet it's us who choose how to spend it and we usually spend it in non-productive ways.
Ali I found your university videos useful, can you please share some videos from the hospital routine as a junior doctor, it will be nice to see how you work in NHS.
Hi Ali, Thanks for sharing this video. Very useful tips. Could you cover how you make those embedded videos where you share your screen and you also have the video of you in a circular screen in the video
Hi ali i'm also a medical student , from Indonesia, and planning to make a study session using ipad. It will be fantastic for me to be able to know how're you doing your editing workflow, like how to integrate the tools, also your video art which is quite simple but very nice to looked at, especially the bullets at 0:13 thanks, enjoyed your content so much
Hey Ali, I just wanted to know why you don't record straight from your camera, even if you use an external mic? What is the point of the ZOOM? Thanks and awesome videos!
Love your videos and podcast! I would really like to see some videos on the Apple Watch comparing it to other options/models and what apps or features you use most in your daily life.
Are most of your viewer from America, noticed you've started using Dollars instead of Pound Sterling when talking? Would be great if you could use both currencies in your videos! Keep up the Videos !
Dude, that whole rig is drool-worthy but like you said production value is secondary i'd rather learn about how to speak to the camera I'm a talker, never had stage fright but the moment there's a camera in front of me, BOOM! I can barely talk
Great setup! If you're looking for a more natural/high production look, try putting the key light in the same direction as the natural light and put a reflector of some sort on the opposite side to bounce the light and fill the shadows in your face! A cheap reflector is a white piece of poster board lol Not trying to say your video quality needs improvement but just some tips from my experience in photography and videography
I love your videoes! Could you do a video about how you get text and handwritten notes (like you have in your how to study videos) over video? So, how do you remove the background of the text?
Hi Ali! Loved all your videos. I noticed that you used Videomic Pro+ in this video, yet you decided to change to Rode NTG4 in your iphone youtube video. Is the difference very noticeable? Have you take a look into Videomic NTG? I want to start my own channel, and I want to invest in a good mic. Thank you in advance!
How do you include iPad animation, writing on the video? Also please post more on youtube video making series. Software, Apps and SEO hacks used by you.
I'd love to see a video of how you plan out a video, from choosing a topic, planning the video, writing an outline/script, etc.

Hi mate, did you find out how to do this yet?
This was fantastic - looking forward to seeing how you edit and more about your creative process. You are the best youtuber, so generous with sharing your tips and secrets, thank you so very much for all that you do :))
I don’t even have the slightest intention to make videos, but I find this video weirdly entertaining. Perhaps it’s the high quality lightning, audio, and frame. ;)
How to insert the time stamps writing on to video? It's really nice, please do a video on that!
What do you use to write on the screen? Like when you draw graphs etc over your videos. Great video btw
I love your down to earth style and presentation. You are an inspiration to me for truly being your authentic self and have fun filming. Thanks man, I appreciate your hard work.
