I agree with the F chord mentioned earlier....I do think it's important to use that chord in the progression to make it sound authentic. And for clarification on your vocal (which is really nice by the way), you are just singing it an octave down, correct?

ok i'm new to singing so i was just wondering why you are able to sing this in D but you did cant you see by marshall tucker in E. i'm not being picky they both sound great......i'm just curious because im trying to figure out transposing keys for my voice and i think i have the same pitch as you. also your hotel california version works better with my voice as well
