Hi, I LOVE the ECO print Hexagon box. That is Gorgeous!
This is absolutely gorgeous ❤❤❤ thanks for sharing 😊
Dear Kathryn, I was so happy when I heard your voice this morning, and the beautiful birdsong, and Stella song. You sound so much happier and settled in your new home. It was very sad listening to your time of uncertainty and sorrow. But now you are in your new home with Stella and Fred Fred I feel you are starting to get your life back on track.... wonderful!!!! Thank you for not giving up your fabulous channel as we would all be lost without you, you are a friend to us all. I can't wait for a tour around your new home, it sounds so cosy and your neighbours sound like they are going to be a lovely part of your new life. Let's hope you get some of your neighbours delicious tomatoes, much love and hugs to you all, Diane xxx
Yuppeee! What a great project and a great time today! Here's me wishing you all the best in this new chapter in your life ❤🎉❤
Diane, so well said.
Lieve Kathryn
Oh your back your voice I missed you ❤❤❤❤❤ beautiful.biwls
Congrats on getting Snugglepot and cuddlepie correct. They’re gumnut babies in books most children of the 80s grew up with. They’re still popular which makes me happy as they are cute as buttons and I have many fond memories sitting in the garden reading the books as a child, then again decades later for my children. ❤
Both bowls are very beautiful, inspiring.🙂
It’s a beautiful bowl, thank you for sharing. I also enjoyed listening to some beautiful bird song.❤
I am glad you could take a little more time for yourself by sharing this "one I made earlier" video tutorial, but it was bittersweet to hear your voice "from before". The thing is, Kathryn, you are genuine, and you share more than techniques and ideas, wonderful and interesting as those are. I think that is one reason why so many of us are journeying alongside you, albeit virtually rather than in person, offering our support in whatever way we may, as you go onward.
Thank you Nina, I rewatched the video myself before sharing it just to make sure it was ok. It did feel strange. And unfortunately although I put a note on the description, many people think it's a new one made in my new home. I will explain in the next video. 🤭❤️
❤
Thank you, Nina, for putting into words what I was feeling. Also, going back to the familiar hexagons was a joy and I’m anxious to try it.
Thank you, once again, for sharing your life and talent with us all. You are an inspiration to our creative minds, hearts and soul❤
I have a friend who worked at Maiwa in Vancouver years ago and I learned so much from her. I think we'll really enjoy this!
What a gorgeous project. Thanks for sharing.
I agree with you. The color of your fabric is gorgeous. I see the start of a hexagon bowl in the near future. Thank you for sharing. It’s taken me a while but at 75 I finally woke up to find there’s a life after cross stitch.
You are welcome, have fun 😊
❤
Beautiful, I love this shape bowl.
Beautiful bowls. I can't wait to make some.
Lovely bowl. I just love it! Great video ❤️
Lovely to join in your latest video, I hope you are settling in, best wishes Marg.
Dear lady, you are such a joy to spend time with! Thank you for sharing your time and talenrts with us💐
Such beautiful bowls, especially the eco printed one. I will try to make one.
Love your beautiful bowls !
Tea cozy to hold your pot or cup. I love the eco print myself. I do want to try some of the prints to. Have some rusty bits in a jar. ❤❤❤😊
Just beautiful ❤️
Welcome home Kathryn! So good to hear your voice lighter (and not so early maybe?)! And Stella! I feel the bowls may become the new ricebags, they are so beautiful! All the love and hugs for you🍀💖
Thank you Machteld, this was an extra video I made a few months ago while still in France. I mentioned it in the description but I guess not everyone reads that. Sorry for the confusion. 🤭❤️
@@k3n.clothtales I read that after the fact 😎 I admire your incredible perseverance planning , organizing and filming ahead! Sending more hugs and strength your way💕💖🍀
These are lovely
Very happy to receive this tutorial today. I don't know how you find the discipline to send us such wonderful videos while you are overly-busy with life, but very grateful. Your bowls are perfect. At first, I thought 'oh, I'll make a bread basket' but these are just so beautiful, especially your previous eco-dyed version - fantastic!
The birdsong, Stella sounds and your laughter were lovely to hear. 🥰 I really like these bowls and I see making them as gifts in my future. 💖💖💖
Love love love😍, as Always. Thank you. I wait too see how you ecoprint on fabric 🙏🏼. Please please 🌿
Thank you Filomena, as I have recently moved house it will be a while before I am set up to ecoprint but when I am, I will make a video ❤️
The birds singing in the background are making me homesick for England. Lovely. I wish you much happiness in your new home.
Thank you so much, those were French birds though as I filmed this a couple of months ago. There are birds here too though. 🥰❤️
Dear Kathryn, What beautiful bowls with each hexagon a work of art in itself!
I'm glad that you and the fur kids are back from France and in your lovely newly painted home. I wish you good health, good times, creativity, and happiness in the new place!!! I can't wait to hear more about it and how Fredfred dealt with the journey.
I loved the happy birdsongs along with you and Stella.
Hugs from a distance!
💗🌻🌈🐾🐕😺🌺
This is so cute! I love it!!!!❤❤❤❤
So beautiful!❤
Woww I must try this myself, love it ❤ thank you
Hi Kathryn, Both of your vessels turned out beautifully! I would be hard pressed to pick a favorite. Each color way lends its own beauty to these little bowls. Thank you for your very kind mention of my vessel video. How very sweet of you. I’m so happy to have been of some inspiration. 🥰
My pleasure Becca, I loved your video ❤️
The bowls are so lovely. I'm looking forward to Monday to see you in your new home.❤❤❤❤
@@karenbral8918 - me too 🥰
🤩🤩🤩🤩 well, there's several holiday gifts sorted. Thank you!!
Not suitable for soup 🤣🌹.
I love hexies. Love your bowls. Love the bird songs in the background. Have a beautiful day 🤗🕊
Love the look of the echo fabric. Very useful bowl out of hexagons. Made a hexagon bag using the same size hexies put a diamond shape in between the "V" space to work the walls up couldnt decide on how to finish off as I made the inside in the same format could have sewn the teeth of the hexie down that way the inside and outside would be enclosed but decided to cut the edges then put in the two half strips of fabric to make the channel for the cord to go through for a draw string bag. Was inspired by the draw string bags Susanna and Corrine made. I was so excited when I got it all together.
I love the hexagon bowls. They’re beautiful. Thank you for sharing
Happy voice, birdsong, Stella interrupting, beautiful work. Thankyou so much x
Just beautimous!!! I have zero finger thimble skills/tolerance but I can use a palm (Sashiko) thimble like nobody’s business. Thank you and home blessings to you and yours 🏡
This is beautiful, definitely going to make some and thought I would give them to my grandchildren full of sweets for Christmas, then when they are gone they can put anything in they want ❤x
Lovely idea Carol ❤️
That birdsong is just wonderful and so peaceful to sit here and listen to you 'twittering' along as well - love it all. Am also going to make another one with my eco dyed fabrics too.
Fabulous. Going to go and make one now.
I'm on it!! Looks fun. I made a quilt with these hexagons after watching Marion and turned around and made another one after watching you! I really love this technique and it was great for traveling or sitting outside this summer.
Love it! So pretty. Definately will be making one of these!
So lovely ❤️
Oh Kathryn! These bowls are both so beautiful! I would love having a little design on the inside of the base as it would give me joy every time I pulled my tangle out to look for a thread.♥ This video fired up the part of my brain which loves geometric beadwork into contemplating the idea of bead weaving hexagon shapes and sewing them together to create a structurally beaded version. But then I calculated that it would take 42 beaded triangles stitched together from over 5,500 Delicas, and concluded that I would be more likely to complete a pretty embroidered one.😅🤪🤣 I'm also day dreaming about making a pin cushion with smaller hexagons by adding another hexagon to the top and stuffing it. 🤔 Thank you for sharing the links that inspired you. I will definitely check them out. Looking forward to seeing you in your new home once you have settled in. Jxo
Beautiful hexagon bowls and beautiful birdsong in the background.
Gorgeous!
You do sound so much more cheerful which makes my heart happy. You are a special part of my week. Lovely to hear Stella's voice too xx ❤
This was filmed in France a while back. 😊
I suppose we are all anxious to hear that you are settled and ok. We love you Katherine ❤
Such lovely vibrant colours that I hope are bringing brightness and joy into your day. Wonderful to see you mentioning the lovely Becca and taking inspiration from her beautiful vessel. I am so touched also to be mentioned in one of your videos and you got Snugglepot and Cuddlepie just right 💙🧵🪡 cheers, Christine
Thank you for your kind words, Christine! I too loved (and coveted) your beautiful vessel featuring the adorable cuddle pot and snuggle pie! Cheers, Becca
Thank you for this lovely little bowl tutorial. I just love it. The colour combinations are so pretty.
Second viewing ❤ I will be doing this today. Thank you for sharing this wonderful tutorial. Both bowls are beautiful but I prefer the last one the Eco print natural. ❤
Me too 😁♥️
Love it - going to try to make one🌷🌷🌷
Beautiful Katherine! You never witter - just “Mindful Muses”. We, you, are surely all the better for that. promotes mindfulness through getting and being in touch with the natural rhythms of life. they are”When you learn to live in the present, you are no longer influenced by our past and future”. A Perfect way to start the day. Thank you for all your lovely tutorials.
Beautifully said!! thank you. My feelings , but I am not good at expressing them🥰
Beautiful
😮😮I love love them they are so beautiful!!! they have an Asian feel about them for me. I have a large bag of hexies but they are too small. I will be making some of these bowls for gifts. Thank you for sharing this!!!! Canada here 🥰
Oh I love this project, I, too am into hexagons at the moment, lovely to do during these autumn days, thank you k3n. Xx
Lovely❤️🌻
Oh Kathryn! You sound so strong and happy in this wonderful video💕💕. Thank you, thank you! Enjoy your day with your "babies" and in your new home! Sending love and hugs🥰💕
This was filmed in France a while ago. 😊
@@martaaldama6419 Yeah, I realize that but she still sounded much stronger and happier that day - maybe in anticipation of reuniting with FredFred and Stella🤷🏼♀️☺️
great they are beautiful,,
Thanks so much 😊
Your bowls are absolutely beautiful, I am going to make one right away.
At the moment, I am making a cloth to hang on the inside of my front door, and it's made of hexagons.
You see, I,m in the hexagon mood.
Speaking of moods, there's a large difference between the last video and this one. You sound strong and self-confident again, no more traffic noise, just this wonderful finch and your Stella.
I wish you lots of happiness in your new home❤❤
Thank you Karin, I am sorry for the confusion I actually filmed this a few months ago in France. ❤️🤭
In that case, I hope you will discover your strength again and that there will be birds singing around your new home ❤
Beautiful hexagons bowls, Kathryn, thank you.
This is precious Kathryn! Thanks so much for sharing. Let me tell you that I love hearing your so much happier voice in this video... Sending a very long hug!
Those bowls are beautiful! Thank you for sharing them with us. Also, thank you for giving credit to the other creators who inspired you. I'm very sure they will be pleased you valued their art enough to give them credit! Kudos and hugs ❤❤❤
Love these bowls. Such a different feel between the two, but both stunning.
Hi Kathryn, yes of course I’m watching! sometimes from the tv so I don’t always comment right away, but I just LOVE your dotty bowl! And the red is just so beautiful and I bet other than the thick cloth being a pain to sew, fun to work with a bright color sometimes. I can’t wait to see a tour of your new Tiny home! Sending so much love and hugs across the pond! 💛
I know that this was taped a while ago, but I enjoyed watching just to listen to your voice and to imagine you ‘nesting’ in your new home with Stella & Fredfred. Huge hugs
Thank you Alison. Unfortunately it has caused some confusion, I don't think I thought it threw. A note in the description wasn't enough, I should have added a note to the beginning of the video. Oh well, I will explain next time. 🤭❤️
@@k3n.clothtales Don’t worry. It was such a lovely video I’m sure that folk will forgive the confusion. BTW I visited an exhn in Whitchurch Silk Mill recently by Alchemists Needle. Fabulous. Best of all I came away with a treasure - an old bobbin with green silk thread on it …Hugs
@@AlisonGreenValleyCrone that sounds lovely and not that far away, I will look it up ❤️
Oh how gorgeous are these bowls. I am rooting through my fabric stash (sorry for that word) as we speak. You have completely disrupted my Christmas gift list but hey. Maybe folks will get bowls AND rice bags. You sound so much lighter and happier, it’s wonderful to hear. I wish you joy in your new home. Xx
Kase mükemmel oldu ketrin içine iğne iplik makas dikiş malzemeleri koymak için ideal paylaştığın için teşekkürler 😊👋
Me encanta!!!
Wow! How gorgeous are these bowls?! And your voice today instantly sounded more uplifted…which makes me so happy for you! Looking forward to all the brightness and life your future holds!
Hi i have just made a hexagon bowl in green with orange dots i love it so im going to crack on and make more for xmas gifts thankyou for this wonderful video🎉
Fantastic work Kathryn. Aussies say “hexag’n” as you Brits do, tho in typical Aussie way of shortening words, they are more likely to be called “hexies”
Lovely to see you back and settling in with Stella Fredfred and the birds. ❤
Very beautiful bowl❤❤😊😮😮😮both bowls are beautiful ❤❤
Hello….🇩🇪👋🏼. It‘s so lovely to hear the birds in the background instead of the traffic of the last weeks. I send you a warm welcome in your new home.🫶🏼
These hexagon bowls are beautiful Kathryn! Thank you for this great tutorial! ❤
Thank you so much for sharing your bowl making. These are so fun. This was a wonderful project. the dots are perfect for this one! Thanks Jeri B too.
Ps the bird song is lovely in the background
So beautiful, I’m so glad to see all of you happy and together in your wonderful new home ❤
Thank you it’s a lovely wee bowl beautiful colours.🌟
Oh my goodness! What to do? How to fit all of these beautiful projects into my life!! Thank you again for an inspirational video. I hope you settle into your new home in a beautiful part of England. I’m in West Sussex, and often go to Swanage and West Bay. ☀️💖💐
I love this bowl. I can see giving these as gifts. 💖
Absolutely beautiful!!! Thank you for teaching and sharing ❣️
Dear Kathryn, wow the minute you began to speak I could hear the clearer happier tone. Like others who have commented I noticed the birds in the background too and Stella letting us know that she is there. Almost like a hello to us out in the nether nether. I don't know what it is but maybe it is the fact that sharing some of our thoughts during your recent troubles is the reason..but I decided I wanted to make a small cloth bowl covered in my favourite bits of cloth and embroidery, just like a meditation roll. I have just finished my first little scrappy number and I can't stop touching it. So tactile. I now have a larger one all invisibly basted and ready to go. I will be sitting with friends tomorrow hand stitching and chatting about anything and everything and of course starting on my larger cloth bowl.
Then along you come with a hexie bowl which I adore too so guess what? that is my next little cloth bowl. All the chat about being in our home is definitely nurturing the 'nesting' instinct and how we find happiness making our home no matter where it is, who it is with, or whatever shape it takes. Hugs Maureen
Thank you Maureen, I am so sorry for the confusion but I filmed this a while ago while I was still in France and I put it up today as I am not yet set up here to film. I feel so bad that lots of you have commented about the birdsong and how lovely it is. It IS lovely here in my new home too though. I will explain in the next video. 🤭❤️
@@k3n.clothtales Ha Ha I sure am a Dopey Dora sometimes. Having said that though with a smile on my face you did have a lilt in your voice. Enough said, just keep on keeping on. Big hugs
Love this project ❤ my nanna use to make something similar out of old cards and crochet. Love hearing the birds in the background ❤
Thank you for sharing this wonderful tutorial ❤️
Wow the birds sound wonderful and to hear Ms. Stella bought joy to my animal loving heart. Hello to dear Fred Fred, hope to see him soon. Kathryn the two bowls are beautiful, I also love your rust dyed one the Best. You are sounding so calm and happier now that your home with your fur Babies. Bless You. Home Sweet Home💙💚💛
These are gorgeous!!! I want to make tons! (I haven't even made one hexie yet so might be slightly challenging lol) I hope today is even more like home, thank you so much for saving this up for us to see - and giving yourself room to breathe when you needed to. 💚💚💚
Today was a good day, thank you Nancy. I have filmed some bits and pieces and hope to share it soon. ❤️
Hi Kathryn, I'm sure you are relieved to be in your new home, and reunited with Stells and Frefred once more.
So nice to hear chaffinches in the background rather than traffic, I'm sure your soul is singing once more at being closer to nature!
I love the bowls, thank you for sharing... Another good idea to stash away for gift ideas in future ❤
Much love, Clare
Hello lovely lady! So nice to hear your voice again. And to hear the happiness back too. I love the hexie bowl. So cute. 👋x
Thank you. I needed a new project for the winter months. I look forward to getting started. I am also looking forward to a tour of your new home. You are such an inspiration! Thank you, thank you!
Wonderful...I can see a new addiction starting to rival the rice bags. Lovely to hear Stella and the beautiful birdsong. Could I put in a request to see FredFred - the gang back together again 😁
Mary x
This is actually a video I filmed back in France a few months ago, I put a note in the description but of course not everyone reads that. I am so sorry for the confusion. I filmed some footage today, including some Fredfred and Stella wrestling. Hope to share it soon ❤️
Love this! So going to try this. Thank you for taking the time to teach us how to do it. Greetings from France.
A pretty and clever bowl to try! I can see this being a bit like the rice bag - a new fabric shape construction obsession for me! Thank you for the instructions. So glad you are in your new home and the birds were singing so beautifully to accompany your happy voice!
Oh I love these! The birds in the background were soothing.❤
Oooooh! This little bowl is too too tempting! And I have QAYG hexies already. So good to hear a smile in your voice and that you are slow stitching in your new nest.
Those bowls are so so beautiful! The eco printed one is fabulous! I haven’t tried the hexagons yet, but I’m thinking about it, because you know I love bowls, boxes, bags, etc…
I hope you’re well, with Stella and Fredfred. I hope this new beginning is a shiny ✨ one. Sending much love 💙♥️🧡💚🤎💛🩵🩶💜🩷❤️
Ghosh Katherine what a delight at the end seeing both versions! I wasn’t expecting that outcome of a shape…would make a lovely gift for someone! Love the birdsong also.x
Oh Kathryn what a joy to hear the birdsong as you started your video and then to hear Stella as a huge bonus. So we all have wonderful proof that you are safe and sound in your new space with Stella and FredFred and that - hopefully - the hardest logistical/physical parts of your move are over. Wishing you calm and peace as you settle in and I’m very happy that you can go get some sea solace whenever you need it.
I spy...some of my favorite French General quilt fabric, red makes me feel joy!
Oooo, dearest Kathryn, as a former potter I especially love these little bowls. So lovely to hear birds chirping and sweet Stella in the background. 🍜🐕🕊xo j
