Who owns a Heckler or a Bullit? What are your thoughts?

Nice comparison! I liked the Heckler, but I purchased the bullit.

I can't believe I grew up in Santa Cruz and I've never been to Wilder Ranch, let alone all the illegal UCSC trails. But I also spent the first 30 years of my life playing video games, rip. And even now, when I do ride, they frickin' close 680 south every other weekend.
I really want to like Santa Cruz bikes, and I do, but I feel like a lot of their current lineup is too all-in on MX wheel setups. Admittedly, I have limited experience with this (I tried it briefly on my last-gen Chameleon hardtail, which came as full 27.5+, which I was not impressed with), and most of the downsides don't really matter on an e-bike. But I was not impressed with MX when I tried it, and I don't see the benefit unless you're on the shorter side. I'm no giant or anything, but I really like full 29 or 26 inch wheels. 27.5 I frankly don't see the point of.

Hey thanks for your comment I appreciate it. Can I ask why you don’t like the MX line up?
I have had a SC Bronson for the last couple of years and it’s an amazing bike. The MX feature was not something I ever had before but I don’t think I can go back. You get the benefits for the 29” up front for soaking up the chunk and the handling of the 27.5” at the back for cornering.
My last bike before it was stolen had 26” wheels and that thing sucked on the trails around here. It was so old.
What don’t you like about 27.5”? Also I struggled to get tires & tubes for that thing. Are they still available?

Nice, looked like the bullit soaked up the chunk!

Yeah, it made a huge difference going through the chunk!

What is your weight if you don’t mind me asking as I’m quite a heavy guy and wondering how this will affect range

That’s a good question. I’m assuming it would affect the range because the bike would have to do more work to assist a heavier weight. A friend bought the same bike as me and is 20lbs lighter. He flys up the climbs in front of me on the same settings.
