Been following your steering issues videos. I have the same symptoms on my 2010 F250. I saw you replaced steering dampener, you replaced tie rod ends and your symptoms still weren't completely corrected. Did it end up being the steering box? Is it corrected now? What was it?
It was the steering box and honestly, I'll have to replace it again with a red head box. The o'Reilly box that I put in is weak. Do yourself a favor and spend the extra $200 on a GOOD quality or OEM box, especially if you have oversize tires. The OEM box, with the way these front ends are designed, cant handle the forces.
USAF99 Thanks for getting back to me. I've been looking at the Cardone 97-7631 and the one from RedHead. Plan for now is to do a 1/4-1/2 turn on the adjuster on the stock box and a $75 bilstein 5100 steering stabilizer and see how many more miles I can get out of it. Quick and Cheap. When it's time for new tires, I'll do a new steering box, bilstein 2" level kit, 5100 shocks all around, new tie rod ends, new drag link and adjustable trackbar from PMF. F350 blocks and traction bars in the back with .5" carrier spacer and all new brake lines. Have to check ball joints and do them at the same time if need be. Time and Money.
