    this video is so incredibly helpful! you described exactly how i have been feeling with this process. it's so niche that it's difficult to find helpful resources about this process. thank you!

    Your videos are such a great resource! There is not a lot of Optometry related content out there and your videos provide such a big help to aspiring students, especially those that are nervous about the application process. I was one of those students and I am now starting my first week of optometry school :) keep doing what you do!!

    Hi Josh! I hope you're doing well. I want to thank you so much for the content you've been creating. In fact, you are one of the people who actually inspired me to pursue optometry. And, I do want to ask you if whether you know some scholarships or grants that I may apply for as an optometry student?

      Thank you for the kind words!! I would look into Wiche if you are in the West Coast, and if not, I would look into different schools that offer in-state tuition after your first year of school! (Usually the ones who are affiliated with bigger undergraduate universities)

    Hey Josh, Thank you so much, all of your videos are so helpful. Do you know if SCO is on a rolling acceptance? I will be applying at the beginning of November, I know this is not late, but am also a little bit worried that by the time I apply, they will be full or almost full which will lower my chances of getting in.

      Hello Clara! November is a great time to apply! I know SCO has a lot of open seats, so you should have a great shot! And yes, they are rolling admissions!

    Hey Josh, I am almost about to submit my application for optometry schools. Is it possible if you could have a look at my application and recommend changes if needed?

    Josh! I was planning on taking OAT after december since I graduate that month and want to give my all to study. Now i’m very worried that my application will be too late… is there still hope i’ll get in in fall 2024.

    • @joshreese_optometry
      @joshreese_optometry  Год назад +2

      Absolutely! Just as many people get in after December as before, you’d be surprised how many schools still have plenty of availability after winter break and even in spring!

    Do you need to take the OAT prior to applying?

    • @joshreese_optometry
      @joshreese_optometry  Год назад +2

      Nope! But some schools wait until they have a ‘test score’ before inviting you back for an interview

    Hello josh
    Can an international student in her third year of 6 years direct entry doctor of optometry program in her home country apply to an optometry school in USA

      Hey Liya! I am not an expert on international applications- but if you reach out to the admissions department at individual optometry schools, they should be able to answer specific questions!
