Hey Josh, thank you for being so informative with all of your videos!! Could you explain what you meant by adding your gpa and oat together for a 350? Just because even with a 2.00 and 200 it would be more than 400, so I was slightly confused! Thank you 😊
Im sorry i didn’t explain it super well in the video, but to get a full sense of academic achievement, schools will add the three numbers in the GPA and OAT together, and then take the average of the numbers to give them a clearer picture of how prepared you are academically
As far as books: the Kaplan book (any year is good) was good for me, but the practice problems in it were the most helpful-- I would recommend getting a program, weather kaplan or CrackOAT or a similar one, that has a bunch of practice problems and practice exams!
As far as I know this is just a school for US and Canada to enter into OD programs- this would not be the same for international programs, and other tests are accepted instead of the OAT as well
Can you please help me? What is the best way to go US/Canada? To get admission in Masters of optometry or some other way? Your advice will be appreciated, thank you
@@mohsingilaniofficial In the US/Canada Optometry is a doctorate program- there is a website called Optometriceducation.org that will have a ton of info about the different programs and how to get in!

Im from India and I'm applying for Doctor of optometry program. Is OAT compulsory for me as an international student?
It depends on the school, but from most of them, I have heard that they like for you to have taken the OAT- but I would reach out!
You’re Amazing!!!!!! ❤️

Whether this test is for taking admission in optometry or also for international optometry graduates students as well?

Hi, i have a question! Where i can get free practice test of OAT?
This is a good question! I was able to find a free one on the Kaplan website and on the ASCO website a few years ago- have you tried either of those?
where can I find study material and practice material???
The Kaplan site has a bit on it and the AOA website should have a bit: but your best bet is trying to share a book or course with someone
Is the OAT multiple choice or fill in the blank?
What if it takes a student a couple years longer to complete undergrad? Will this negatively impact your chances of getting accepted into opt school
It is multiple choice!! And no, your timeline is not a huge factor for most schools
Thank you Josh!
Can I take this exam via onile and wht about the fees ??
So I think this video will answer most of your questions! : ruclips.net/video/lWEZiTYRmBM/видео.html
But long story short, you have to take it at what’s called a ‘prometrics’ station and it costs about $500
