Maybe you can do a multiple vlog series which is like “a week in optometry school”

SCO visited my pre-optometry club today and did a presentation. They gave us some interview tip. But your tips and how you answered the questions helps me a lot!

@@joshreese_optometry I’m not sure if it was you that mentioned that you did work study. But if so, could you do a video on what’s your work study job and how you balance work study and studying.

Alright! I’ll make sure to make one about that in the near future!

Do the questions you ask during tour count? Or like when you’re with a student but not necessarily in the official interview

That’s a good question! So the person giving you the tour may or not be on the admissions committee! I’d say make sure you are on your best behavior, but you don’t have to try super hard to impress while you are touring

your channel is awesome, josh! so grateful for your content.
however, i feel like i've set myself up for failure. i was studying econ for a year, and i preformed really poorly, like, the first grade you see on my transcript is 38%. i switched to biomedical sciences, i've been preforming really well ever since. i emailed a few schools to ask if my previous courses will be considered, and i was told that they will be viewed but not counted. i'm so worried that my bad grades, although not counted towards my admission average, will cause rejections in the future. any advice? :(

That’s too bad to hear, but don’t let it bring you down! I know that the application process is viewed very holistically and it is peoples full-time job to make sure every applicant is considered: so make sure you are showing an upward trend with grades and do you best on the OAT and application! And everything else will fall into place! You’ve got this! 😀
