- I have been using the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 for over 90 days, ever since the Z Fold 4 released. And today I am going to give you an HONEST review of the Z Fold 4 after 90 days. I think Samsung did a great job with the Z Fold 4. This is my long term review of the Z Fold 4. This is my honest 3 month review of the z fold 4.

I got one on black Friday aswell in UK. 1375£ free case and pen and charger. Free tab s6 lite on its way to me. And exchanged s22 ultra for 540£. Bit on the low side for the ultra but still.
That is still an insane deal.
Don't worry too much about the inner display. Am using my fold 3 without a case and dropped twice by mistake and it is still surviving fine. Inner screen is perfect and no issues.

How's the battery life on this?
After 12 Years with Apple and my 14 pro Max, i changed to the Fold. I absolutely Loving this wonderful piece of Tech 😂 i used the Front Screen 90% of time but everytime when i unfold the Fold, i'm still in love. The Sound, the Screen, the UI. It's perfect. For me!

On the go I use the front screen which I love because it's narrow and easier to use. At home im all over that large display

Vali, I wasn't even planning to buy a new phone soon (been perfectly content with the iPhone Pro Max) but watching your Fold 4 reviews made me get one. Your advice is spot-on! I think it'll be difficult to go back to ANY non-fold device after being on the Z Fold for a while.
I'm always tempted by smaller phones (been eyeing the Zenfold 9 and Pixel 6a), but when it comes down to work bigger screens are always a plus. The Z Fold gives you the best of both worlds - it feels like a compact phone to carry and it's easy to use on the move one handed, and then when it comes to work/productivity or any photo/video content… BAM! Flip it open and you can do everything another phone can do, and more, and it looks awesome. And we’re not even talking about also using the S pen or Dex…
The wider front screen (hopefully future models will be a touch wider still) and the flagship cameras on this one cleared up the concerns I had with previous models.
The Fold 4 has been great fun and super useful to get stuff done.
It is pricey, yes. It's also groundbreaking tech.

I'm a long time Pixel fan. Was interested in Fold 4 but is $1800. I got a renewed fold 3 on Amazon for $700, an amazing piece of tech, UI and everything is great 9.5/10
Got my fold 4 last week. Incredibly glad I did. Unbelievable device and the crease doesn't bother me at all like I thought it would.
I came from the s20 ultra and decided to take the plunge on the fold 3. Man it was a game changer. Being someone who consumes a lot of content on my phone and the fold open a whole new world for me. I use multitasking a lot more and game more when I can. I never really used the s pen when inhad my s20 ultra though so I never got it for the fold 3. Fast forward, I'm on the fold 4 now and got the s pen for free and it just makes the fold even better. I do believe folding phones are what I'll own from now on. Great video!

@@valismind To me i am on a fold 3 and just can not justify shelling out another 1k upwards on the fold 4 not enough of an upgrade for me. I really hope the rumors of the fold 5 are true because that is looking like an upgrade worth getting basically takes everything wrong with folding phones right now and fixes them all.

I'm on my 21ultra but since it's still a beast I'm thinking of keeping it until the OS updates run out and by then folding phones will hopefully drop down in price due to bigger competition around the world, it's super tempting though.

I'm with you! When closed it's a perfect size screen for one hand use and when opened it's truly amazing! Traded my Galaxy S22 Ultra which was an great phone in its own right but this phone is in a league of it's own!
I used it and I sold it,bad animations and Laggy 😀
@@_techfan you definitely have a defective one or a bug. There's absolutely zero lag on device even with 15 apps open at once. Impossible that it's laggy unless you have a faulty device.

The Z Fold4 is definitely phone of the year for me. This is one of the best phones when it comes to productivity and media consumption. I find it funny how people are still hating on this phone, including Samsung fans (particularly S22 Ultra users).
I know, I think people need to try it to be honest, I thought I wouldn't be a fan before I picked it up and I was VERY wrong about it.

Great video man! I'm the exception when it comes to screen usage, I don't use the front display 😅 I do love that they made it wider and it is much more usable but my eyes are so bad and I don't always have my glasses so I always use internal display. I would use a 12.9" iPad as a phone if I could 😂 I'm glad your experience has changed from the F3 to the F4.

I hear good things about the fold 4 but however Jan 2023 I just upgraded my s20 ultra to the fold 3 and immediately fell in love with it's capabilities and even though the outer screen is slim with a stylus it's flawless and operable with very few cramping typing mistakes. And the cameras are good not the best but for sure usuble.

The idea 💡 of getting the Z Fold 4 into my hands 👐 is going to be a tech adventure that will have printed words fall off the page for me as I describe the awesomeness in a few days coming from the S22 Ultra.
I am one of those people that would never thought "jumpship" to the fold 4 so similar to you i bought one thinking I would hate myself for spending that money but just like you i have never looked back. i love my fold 4!
It's been hands down the most fun device I've ever played with, I really really enjoy it even after all this time it really feels new, and timeless

Came from an iPhone 12 pro max to the fold 4......NEVER GOING BACK! The emulation, media consumption, storage, battery life....the list goes on. This thing is AMAZING!

I bought fold 3 a year ago and now my father uses it because I switched to filp 4. Both of them are in perfect condition still. I only switched the screen protectors once so far. Definitely going to pickup fold 5 when it comes out because flip is less fun
Had the S21 Ultra and switched to the Fold 4. I do miss the zoom capabilities but I love everything else about this phone. The large screen is amazing and I use it all the time. I'm a big guy and I have big hands so it's perfect for me. I also love the screen size. The speakers sound great. Typing with split keyboard just feels natural.
However, my only gripe is that some apps get wonky when full screen on the fold 4 inner display but that's easily fixed by changing the how the app opens in settings.
Have you ever thought of using both? I use an s22 ultra by day and my z fold 3 after work at night and on the weekend. Love having them to show off too haha
Oh in developer settings have you ever messed with the smallest width settings. It helps alot. With the apps opening and stuff in split screen.
@last-real-1 gh is there a way to sync info between the two devices? Sort of like WhatsApp if I wanted to copy a barcode or serial number from one phone to the other?
@@mikeh3468 me personally I just used one phone to set up the other so there both the same apps and accounts wise so if someone calls they both ring and stuff like that. There syncd together in that way.
This review was awesome. I didn't think I'd use the cover because I'm coming from my Note 10+
I've had many many phones, hundreds and have always switched OS's but always back to apple. I have a 13PM and my partner surprised me with a fold 4 a couple months ago. I still have my iphone and do miss some things about it but i don't think i could ditch the fold for it. Been hell of an adjustment though.
Completely agree with your points, got the fold 4 last week on black Friday discounts for 1450$ with a free earphones and a case.
Haven't been this excited about a phone a while, finally something refreshing in this boring slab phone market. The battery is good, the inner screen is amazing for productivity/media/reading/multitasking and work related stuff. Was worried about the outer screen being too narrow but got used to it, I just wish it was a bit wider.
Yeah it's awesome! I agree, a tad wider would have been nice but not too much to make it unusable :)
I really want one, and I'm so close to ordering it but I honestly just can't get past the wrinkle in the middle of the large display, I know it's minimal but it's driving me crazy.

When it comes to a power user me like me,typing what I'm typing now on the main screen is like breeze, on the other hand typing on the coverscreen is not so good,but when it comes to everyday usage like surfing net,insta ,RUclips its next level,the phone stands out when u r capturing others with the cover screen being a prompter ppl will love it

I'd really like to have a phone like that one, but here in Argentina, its so so so expensive. It's so imposible to buy and if you do it you have to ear rice for at least 7 months.
Also one thing that make me double check if I get it is how long will it last, in my case I use my phones for about 3-4 years before switching to a new one. It doesn't look made to last.

1:56 8, actually. Once had meet, Gmail, docs, chrome, clash of clans, calculator, messages, and keep notes open at the same time during a class project. Docs, chrome, and notes were the main 3 and the rest were open and running in multi window
That's nuts, ahha. I think 3-4 def is the sweetspot though when it comes to usability, I cannot see very many people making use of having more than 4 running at the same time, but that's incredible!
@@valismind I definitely agree. It's certainly overkill and most people wouldn't ever use it and 3-4 is the sweet spot. I typically use 6 when studying with friends. Twitter(for leisure), docs (for notes), RUclips(to look up random videos about whatever we need more info on), chrome(school website) , messages, and meet

I love my Z Fold 4 so far. After being with iPhone for ages, it is gonna take a while to get used to android again. I am currently customising it and really wanna know where that date widget on your home screen came from as I really like it! Love the honest review btw
There are always some sales and discounts for Samsung Phones if you search around. I just got my 512GB Z Fold 4 + bonus leather case on Black Friday for $1080us which is $400 less than similar iPhone 14 pro max. So far I am loving the big screen.
Yeah, people need to take this into consideration the fold is almost never retail price. It is not really expensive when compared
I'm using the main display around 80 to 85% of the time because my VRS design case has such a large lip that gesture navigation is difficult on the cover screen. But I'm ok with that because that large main display is amazing!
The large display is amazing I try to use it as much as possible, just sometimes realistically it’s not the smartest thing to do ahah

I just sold my 14 Pro Max last week and bought the fold 4 instead. It arrived yesterday and I am sooooo in love! I always had apple, never thought I'd use an android phone.. but now I would never go back to a smaller phone! It is perfect for gaming and I play video games 90% of the time :D
Benefit is you also get a small phone when using the cover-display, which is really nice because it's not convenient to always carry around a large phone, like the 14 Pro Max especially if you want to use it one handed! Congrats on the Fold you're going to love it even more as time goes on, trust me! :)
@@valismind how were u able to switch back to fold 4? Was it hard doing that with esim in 14 pro max? Did u just call your carrier and have them switch IMEI numbers?
Im in the same position. An exclusive iPhone user but this seems really insane lol. I want this but a little concerned about how it feels as a phone. Because when closed it feels like holding two phones stacked together. I take my phone to the gym and all that. Would this be comfortable in your pocket in those situations you think ?

@@xShinobiXx use the return period to try it, when folded it's just a little bit thicker than my 13 Pro Max but it feels compact because its a little bit shorter
I had the note 20 ultra 5g, swapped to the fold4 and went back to my note 20 within 2 weeks. Inner display watching videos is smaller with black bars over the top/bottom and when I held my note 20 over the top, was about the same size video displayed unless crop/zoom on fold4. Don't get me wrong, it's an impressive bit of kit, but needs to have wider cover display and s pen built in as the cases I also tried on the fold 4 were ugly and made the device way too bulky. Maybe note 20 is just too good. Only my personal thoughts coming from 4 iPhone to 3 x Samsung devices (s8+, s10+, note 20 ultra)
Yes I like this phone also. Only complaint is it feels slippery all over everywhere. Making the aides and camera phone side of it a more grainy, less slippery surface would have been better. I'm going to add a case to it so that should give it a more rubber not slip feel I want.
The Grip Case from DBrand may be worth checking out if you want grip! It apparently is quite good
Fold4 is truly the most powerful Samsung device in 2022. The camera exceeds way beyond my expectations

Yeah I have to agree, the S series, especially the S22 Ultra is so good. But nothing touches the Fold in my opinion. It's such a unique and versatile device.

I work at UPS very dusty wet, and I have to say my concerns with the inner display have faded. I've had it since launch, there are some minor hairline scratches but honestly less than I was expecting. I've had gorilla glass on a new phone scratch up quicker.

I'm able to upgrade my phone but I'm debating on Z Fold 4 or Galaxy s23 Ultra. It's pretty difficult choice because I've never use or even hold any Fold phones but I'm so curious. I'm upgrading from a Z Flip 3 btw.
Honestly, there are a couple of flaws in Note 4, but man do I love this phone. I don't think I can ever go back to the normal phone anymore. I love unfolding the fold to view my emails and watch movies or games. The sound the picture quality and everything is amazing. Sometimes the crease in the middle is a little bit annoying but that's very minor flaw compared to the great benefits I get. I absolutely love The 4 fold.
Fold it like a ds but then fold it back more to see the whole screen at once

Exactly the same as the Zfold3, just with a better camera. ZFold3 is a beast too, just have to set it up right at the beginning

I bought the Fold 4 for work last year when I didn't want to be tethered to my laptop for emails and meetings in Teams or Webex. Now that the job is over, looking forward to playing around with it. Still prefer iOS to android as my daily driver, but I love this thing

Thoroughly love my z fold 4. Wish it had my s22 ultras cameras though, along with the updated expert camera raw app the s22U has now. I'd also like the goodlock apps that the s22U does. Those on the z fold 4 are missing certain features like being able to make your app drawer scroll vertically. I have the Samsung case ( the £80 one with pen and stand) I find attaching the pen is great help in holding the phone in one hand when it is unfolded. Battery life is good. On average I get somewhere between 7 and 9 hours...occasionally more.
Well I just install Expert RAW on my Fold 4 after reading your comment. I also saw GoodLock app on Samsung store but I don't install it 'cause I don't really need it.
I personally never used these phone cameras. I have a pro system camera which makes much better photos and videos.
Have you seen camera comparisons between the 2? They throw blows at each other, and many times the Z Fold pics look better, probably because of the better processor

I am not sure it was my buddy's clip, it must just be some sort of PDF or note app.
I currently using S21 plus.. and thinking of upgrade to Fold 4... i'm the kind OCD when cleaning my phone screen.. i like it Crystal clear... do u think is a good thing to upgrade?

I have always wanted one. But I am just too nervous about the foldable screen and how much $$ it would be to replace it.
Same, i think no any phone repairs are doing it.
I tested this phone against the iPhone 14 max today and thought the screen of the fold was a bit less than the iPhone. But when I got home and turned off adaptive brightness I was pleasantly suprised
The gap is there just incase you get grit etc on the screen and you close it. Since there is a gap there's very little chance of scratching the inner screen.

I've been using a Mate 20x since 2019 and never considered any other device. It has no equal. Carrier axed it, saying it was not 4g, which is bull$hit. Bought a Note 20 ultra 5g and its a big let down. I have big hands and want a device I can type on with ease. The Note ain't it. These skinny phones suck. Anyhow considering this device Z Fold 4. Thanks for the video, really helps me see it in action. Love that big screen. The Mate 20X is 7.2 inches and is a fantastic device, as I said it has no equal.

Well, I’d like some help here. I am between getting fold 4 256gb for 950 or fold 3 512gb for 750 with a case and spen . Please help me out I have no idea which one to go for
100% the Fold 4, night and day difference and you will be glad you spent the extra money!

I've used apple products for yearsssss! I came from the 11 pro max was going to get the 14 pro max. Decided to do research on other phones because the Samsungs customization abilities really stuck out to me. So it was between pro max, 22 ultra, and fold 4. Since the 23 ultra was coming soon and I didn't want to wait I decided on the fold 4. So far I'm loving it. Still trying to get use to everything but so far I love it. Having trouble getting everything from my iphone onto the fold (mostly my notes) but as long as it stays uploaded to my cloud I'm good. If anyone is on the fence about it... I'd say just try it out
You can access your iCloud account from the web and have full access to your notes, files, photos, etc (not messages though).

@@xojaclynlovee You can download your photos and your files to your Samsung phone. You can also upload files from your Samsung phone to iCloud. You can do other things like view and create notes and check your iCloud email.

God there is so much insanely cool tech that's just a few generations away from perfection.
I want this device, as a heavily pen-addicted Tab s8 and Note user, but the inner screen's durability would give me anxiety. If this turns into something I can chuck into my pocket or drop while nodding off, it's over for everything else and I'll never look back. See you in a few years, Folds.
