I know it don't seem like tons of progress but all of this is important (the testing) to make sure i am good to go before i start mounting equipment in the vehicle and playing it. If i had just used 12v batteries in the entire build, i would probably be playing by now. But i had to complicate matters with the dual voltage setup. More volts = more power! I hope you guys like the video, thanks for watching if you did! if you want to see my daily updates follow me at instagram.com/meade916 i will usually put up a couple photo's of what i am doing WAY before it hit's this channel! :)
Still agm for me just got my first REAL BATTS from xspower ad3400 under the hood and a xp3000 in the rear of my yukon I had optimas at first AND YES ITS UNREAL POWER!!!
For anybody that wants to say "well Steve has all those Machines" yes he does but he also knows how to use them and creates incredibly creative installs with them! Now it may not be North East Wisconsin safe but that's okay cause Steve don't live up here. So freaking cool, always an inspiration!
I snagged a couple of those plastic deals for 2 - 4/0 welder cables. Running them this week. Hopefully things go smoothly. Power is running inside the frame channel. Gotta fish that thru so we'll see how things go. 1 run of 4/0 and I'm good to go tho.
Super dope content, it’s amazing with lithium batteries we (company I work for)been trying 48 volt lithium batteries on some of our Toyota forklifts and it’s amazing how they charge quick and the run time is crazy long, the price tag of 15k plus is no joke though
Love to see that Radiant Heat Shield get put to good use on such a sweet build! That wire is massive, so excited to see this bad boy come to life. #SMDFTW
Mans i could only imagine what he could do. My yukon has two evl15d4 all skyhigh cables illcustomz battery terminals kenwood ddx9704s cheap custom amp rack. Skar has surpassed all my expectations only issue im having is overall quality amp was shipped with broken rca terminals and one sub just started pinging outta nowhere it sounded good until that happened
Nice 👍 I'm thinking about getting the Titan8 PWR-S5-5100 under the hood in a few weeks I have the xs5100r right now and XS 500farad superbank in the back I'm wondering if the titan 8 would be better then the 5100r I have the same subs by the way have 2 of them
I love the build and I know its a show truck I was just curious about whater splashing on the stepdowns under the truck are they water proof or could that possibly damage them. Anyways amazing build
this isn't a show truck. I drive it all the time. Water won't hurt it and honestly it ain't gonna see that much water to begin with. You think i am going to drive through a creek with this? LOL
@@meade916 First, love this build and it's meticulous design. My first thought on the placement of the module was, "What about that fan?" It doesn't seem to be the same exposure-based build as those step-down modules. Your knowledge and skill sets are WAY beyond my capabilities, so if it's not a concern, then that's just my ignorance of things. I also live in Florida where it's super hot and wet, not the best of places when considering putting electronics outside of the interior or engine bay. Just my 2 cents, which is worth about 0.00000000001 cent, ;) Your loyal viewer, StevePhy PEACE
@@stevenphythian4650 the fan blows OUT it doesn't suck in. The air intake on the other side is diffused enough to where it won't dramatically suck water in. If some does get in it won't hurt anything. In fact it will probably cool them even more. The heat sinks are aluminum. The step down is buried in ceramic. The step downs are on an aluminum rack floating above the surface it LOOKS like it is sitting on. Bottom line is, it will be ok. I have lived in Florida before. This truck would have no problem there at all. You guys swear we have no weather here LOL. Anyway it should be fine, that area isn't going to see that much water to begin with. It isn't like i stuck it in the wheel well.
hi one quick question. What can cause alternator whine to come from the rear speaker when I give it gas. Also 1 channel on a 4 channel amp doesn't work. Probably a bad ground connection or bad amp
Hey man I have a 2005 Chevy Tahoe lt with Bose in it I have a blown door speaker and center console sub is blown I’m just curious what door speakers would u recommend to run off the factory radio without navigation and still work with the factory amp and also I’m confused it says 6 3/4 front door and 5 1/2 rear door but when I look it up it says both are 6 3/4 just would like ur recommendations on door speakers that are cheap but good quality and sounds like stock or better thanks man love the videos

Still loving the concept can't wait to see more
Dude - that seems like a TON of work just to get the 2 extra volts. How much difference does that make?
Keeper rollin cant wait to see the finish product
Can't wait to see the entire system wired up and fired up! Keep the videos coming!
We love the videos and attention to detail is top notch. Great work bud.
Man technology moves so quickly.
A 10lb lithium battery at a steady 13v is blowing my mind right now. WTF!?

Sickest levels of detail most people will never see. Light at the end of the tunnel
This whole build is nuts
17:54 Damn, Those power cables look like water hoses.
This guy makes the best of the best look like beginners. He is a man who has a true vision of what audio art is!
youre attention to the details is inspiring
This channel inspires me to wanna make my builds clean and professional, not just loud.
Damn I’m so excited like if it’s my caddy.
Enjoying the progress.
The soundman is talking shit about every ones big build this year but he ain’t saying nothing about good old SMD!!! Fkn epic and more epic every video
Shows the benefit of thoroughly testing complex setups like this. Awesome work Steve 👌🏻
Look the attention to detail. And how your not in a rush. Thats awesome work man. Keep it up
I'm not gonna lie I thought that battery was fake... 10 pound battery is legit!!
ya man i love it!

That 4/0 cable is insane. That plate came out dope. Great build Steve. ✌
The attention to detail is amazing. Keep up the good work Steve
Yessir another epic video 💯💯💪
I was about to go to bed but seen steve uploaded so I guess my plans changed lol
Me too
Glad to see the RUclips OG back with another banger..... pour your drink and spark yr blunts cheers pham....🙏
The best car audio builds on RUclips!!💯
It's gonna be so rewarding when the subs are in and playing. Good stuff as always Steve 👍
Hey steve well done on all the testing and making sure nothing gets interupted or bonks out nor frys the elc system in the caddy well done
Man those wire runs are huge...cool set up.
Awesome build Steve. Can't wait to actually hear it and see how it sounds
Wow. What an installation 😮 And I felt my dual battery and big 4 setup was much 😄
Damn in the past it was already amazing enough to use cardboard for templates now adding in that lasercutter just blows my mind.

Awesome, your usual impeccable attention to detail
lookin like another masterpiece... keep it up I cant to see it finshed

Cant wait to hear this when its completed
This is how high his attention to detail is: He laser cut the XS logo into his cardboard template! Watch and learn people!
Steve Meade is a genius bro!!
Awesome work SMD
Coming together awesome can't wait for the next video.
Good evening boss...glad to see more videos...love this.
Love your work best installs and love how u do more work then talking like every one else
Super badass skills dude, and I mean everything! Designing, fabricating, CNC skills, #kingmeade
i don't know about #king...but i do appreciate you for that. Thank you Jordan.
Baby is a ballin pupper,... has her own damn pool.
Fantastic ideas/work mate.
Hells yeah thanks for the video tonight SMD that truck is insane 👍👍👍
shittttt hellls ya, thanks for watching!!! I appreciate ya!
Nice video brotha, damn that wire is huge.
We need a full skar audio build from 6.5 and tweeters and 12s
All kinds of skar builds everywhere

Nice work STEVE!!!
STEVE IS A BEAST WIT IT...🤦🏽 4 AUGHT RUNS?? #SUPER DOPE
I have the exact same grommets, What's the exact size of those Diablo hole saws blades?
Jeeeeeez😳 so cool... sweet ride-thanks for the video 🤘

So close I can't wait
Bring back amp test tuesday's
Can I use the xs power lithium on a 100% bone stock car without any issues? Even with Auto stop-start?
Quess so, I use a Yinlog LTO lithium on a stock car with stock alternator. 14,5v. I quess XS lithium is even beter than my grade B yinlong cells.
Another awesome video keep up the good work
I knew I saw this vehicle a few times by my work at mc clean on Dudley,id love to hear the system in it
yup my shop is just around the corner. I usually keep it at home though unless i need to bring it here to work on something.
I love the build and I know its a show truck I was just curious about whater splashing on the stepdowns under the truck are they water proof or could that possibly damage them. Anyways amazing build

Lol. Just curious. But that truck is clean af
Nice build, can't wait to see the end result. How many wires does this car have lol.😳😳🤣🤣🤣
are the wires to the rear not in any form of protective tubing or conduit?
nah. No need.
I figured as much.....the jacket on those wires is probably bulletproof@@meade916
Nice build man
Been waiting for this one
What about dust and water to the step-down box?
Especially how it's under the vehicle
none so far.
is everything under the frame (fanBox) also waterproof? or can it tolerate water well?
no it is all going to explode and melt down if water hits it, that is why i chose that spot. lol
Where did you have the step down module made? I’m looking for one to use in my 98 Grand Marquis
@meade916 what ua doing with that old battery i could use an upgrade js. Nice work on that skid plate ideas keep coming. Its gonna be a beast
I need to make step down module any suggestions on where to start like where can I buy the stuff to make it
nice work ...looking good
Love it! I’m just curious will the step down module be ok down there if it gets wet or anything?
yes. It's in a plastic box and it's (the step downs) made of aluminum. Water probably won't touch it but if it does it won't hurt it at all.
What is the name of the song at the beginning of the videos? Congratulations for your work!
I thought that battery charger was for agm batteries only not lithium can someone explain /verify ??? thanks
i just did. On video.
Not worried about the step down box getting wet in the rain?
i guess not.
I feel so invested in this build, sadly I will never get to actually know how it feels.
What name the music introduction the vídeo ?
One sick escalade 😎
so what happen if water get in the box under this truck
it will all go down in burning flames. That is why i chose this spot. SMH

@@meade916 hey steve
Early Gang in the building 💯
Great job like always 👏
Steve- Check out the limitless retro 56 - its 5 titan 8s in one - new 56AH under the hood lithium - This would be better than the titan
no thanks. XS Power is what i run
Yup. Limitless retro is bangin
Looks great like always....
Do some racing videos with that Escalade
nah.

Great work!
Yoda did it again!
Good stuff but I did not know they made a lithium that could withstand the harsh conditions of heat under the hood of a vehicle

Wasn't this under the hood originally?
Really nice

Almost there!
New video 👏👏👏
Way better than Doug with soundman. He’s has yet to finish the mule. Come to thing about it.... I don’t think he’s finished anything 🤦🏻♂️
