I read that eloquent is a back handed compliment towards minorities cause white people think we don't know how to speak properly. and now this compliment is ruined for me cause they do give it to me often

I only give it to people who are truly eloquent, which has nothing to do with their race. there are many white people who are extremely non eloquent, and even the whitest valley girl can sound very annoying to me with their sentences going up, etc. but Tyra, simply is a beautiful speaker. her words are clear and musical and that's a talent which not many people have, not even white people.

I even majored in literature for a year lol.

I love her vanity mirror like a giant cloud. Sweet finds of that free mirror and the Asian crane divider wall. Holy shit Bed Stuy has changed. I live in Chicago but my dad used to show me pictures and tell stories of Bed Stuy of when he used to live there. A lot of his friends got murdered so he really only has 2 or 3 friends from childhood. It was so run down and grimey during the days of the crack epidemic. Nobody who wasn’t from Bed Stuy wouldn’t dare step foot in there unless you wanted to get robbed. In 1990, there was a robbery in New York on average of every 10 minutes. It’s good to see that Bed Stuy and New York in general has seen a huge drop in crime and is developing
@@tuesdayjanae3676 You can upgrade a neighborhood without gentrifying it. There is no need for all major cities to look exactly the same while catering to the affluent. The local and state government could have spent money bettering the infrastructure, affordable housing and better schools.

Hearing you say "wait, what?!" all shocked about the street mirror is hilarious to me. Because here in Madison, WI, we have a huge summer event called "Hippie Christmas" every year around the time that the college students' leases end, where people just throw the stuff they don't want onto the curb and it's all free to whoever wants it. Half my furniture and lamps were taken from the curb that I then refurbished. It's so funny because you'll go to a house party or to a new friend's house for the first time and see the dresser you and your old roommate set on the curb like, two summers ago.
