I love it when reactors react to this concert. Steve Perry, a.k.a. The Voice, in all his glory. With his weird little mannerisms, wearing my little sister's shirt and jeans so tight you can see everything that god gave him... singing like only Steve Perry can. This concert is fire, as is Journey.
I saw these guys in Detroit back in '81. They were awesome. There is no autotune or any electrical equip in those days to help the sound to be better. It was the days when there was really great talent and rockers went out and killed it without having all the enhancements. Miss those days. Especially that all you younger folks didn't get to witness the great groups of the 60s and early 70s OMG
@@macmcleod1188 Yes definitely one of the Best, Another Guy that was very underrated was Morten Harket, the lead singer for Ah-Ha or how ever you spell it lol
I was a senior in high school at this concert at The Summit in Houston. They were one of the best live performers I’ve ever had the privilege to see in my decades of concert-going.
My mom is from LA, I grew up here, and was hella into the 80's music scene so I grew up on CDs as a little kid from Journey, Prince, Blondie, Michael Jackson, Bruce Springsteen, David Bowie, Whitney Houston, all of these amazing artists, and Journey for better or worse is my childhood no matter anything lol. They're a treasure and Steve Perry was truly "The Voice" as his nickname served him.
Journey is the real deal, Neal Schon guitars was a teenage prodigy who started in Santana at around 15 years old , drumming Steve Smith is a classic jazz drummer from the Berkeley school of music, Ross Valery on bass is so good, Johathan Cain is a multi talented keyboardist/ guitarist and Steve Perry on vocals Steve Perry was added to the band on there 4th album to give them a more radio friendly sound. Journey’s first 3 albums were very jam sessions longer pieces of music. Very very good but not a lot of airplay or record sales. And holy moly did they ever take off after he arrived Great rabbit hole of music. But check out some of their early stuff too. Enjoy.
I had a red with black spots shirt like the one Steve Perry is wearing 😂 These songs bring back memories, some good, some not so good..... What a trip.....🎉
I can personally attest to how great this song sounds live. I saw them on this tour at Brendan Byrne Arena in East Rutherford, NJ in May of 1982. You want more? Just about any song from this show will do. Or check out some of their earlier stuff on the Midnight Special.
Pretty much anything by Journey is good. The guitarist, Neil Schon, was in Santana before Journey. Then was in Bad English after Journey. His sound is pretty well known, but people dont really know his name or face. Kind of an unsung hero. Btw, I went to school with a girl named Journey. Her parents were big fans.
It really doesn't matter when it comes to Steve Perry, whether you hear him live or in a studio because he's just unmatched when it comes to best of all time voices on earth, BUT the studio version is fantastic. *and you should really learn it so you can join in singing it in every bar and pub, sporting event and grocery store lmao 😂😂❤️🇨🇦
I’m so glad I grew up in the late 70s and 80s

He was the hottest creature alive in his day. ❤
And I had much rather see those pants than those that look like they need a diaper change LOL!
Hey, hey, hey, I graduated in '81. Best time to be a kid.
5 guys live...night after night...tight...on point. That was rock.
Must Must Must watch "Mother Father" from this same concert! Amazing performance!!!

Steve Perry is the real deal. Grew up in San Jose CA when Steve joined Journey. He was the game changer. Number one band in the Bay Area!

The year I graduated high school this is a great song. Enjoy.

Walks Like a Lady Live in Osaka is really good too
Mother Father live in Houston is amazing
Yeah if you didn't have the talent you could not hide it on stage live. Journey was incredible ❤❤❤❤

And on PBS when additionally, Neil jammed with Albert King in a blues jam!
Having flashbacks to listening to Wolfman Jack.
That's the fashion in the 80s

That was called finger tapping on guitar. Eddie Van Halen was master at it
You really need to watch strung out from Steve Perry
I really hope you do that for a reaction there's only two different reactions I've ever seen maybe you could be a third
You need to do that new MGK "pressure"! It's freaking 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 I can't believe you have done it omg
Eso es todo lo que tenían para opinar??😮 Presentación en vivo sin autotune, esto es magistral, único y ustedes casi nada dicen.
Reactors showing no reaction to one of the greatest singers of all time... What a waste of time!
