It's SO cool to finally see some actual local people who session a park (whether riding, skating, whatever,) instead of just seeing the famous skaters for a change. True essence of a parks culture right there.
Except those aren't the locals? This is just a phony production. Venice Skatepark is like the worst place to skate now. Me and my friends rallied for years for that park. You know the real locals. Not one of those people are pictured here? Andy doesn't know Jack about this area.
Every single person skating in this video is dope. I know for me personally I can’t imagine going to a park and having it surrounded with tourists/spectators. Has to be so weird and lots of pressure. So just to be able to cruise round and do basic stuff in front if so many people is truly awesome. Mad respect for these people.
The very first skater with the sun glasses and the purple, with a slightly pink and bluish helmet is very gifted. I very much enjoy watching those rail lip slides and spins. Very interesting combinations he is able to pull off and so effortlessly.
The family member riding the ramp, definitely, not something I have seen ever, ever, ever before. GOSH, what a treat. I love four legged family members.
The skateboard community has always been welcoming. One thing I found while traveling the country is every skatepark I can go to, I can make friends no matter what state I’m in.
Best video yet, all such beautiful and unique individuals. Lets be honest though Rowdy with those firecrackers down the stairs is sooooo Gnarly! Top notch skating there in venice!
I'm 38 from Ohio and visited LA this past Sept, restarted skating about a year ago. The people at this skatepark were incredibly welcoming and patient with me while I had my turns in the snake run. I really felt it was okay for me as a beginner to take up space as long as I was attentive and respectful of what others were doing.
Wow, great shots, great community! Tracy really impressed me with doing her own style, never giving up to have fun and make the best of it! Venice Beach, final destination 🙂
We are just back to Scotland from California, we had a quick visit to the skatepark but I so wish we'd went back for longer and spoke to some of the locals! I was just looking at my photos and Tracie is in my pics!!
Just so you guys know, including the locals who shared, you are an inspiring people all around the world. I'm watching from Florida! These vibes remind me of what it was like to be a local at a park when I was younger and Im starting up again skateboarding in my late 30s. The therapy that playing and flowing brings is one thing, but the connection of enjoying it with others is life bringing! Andy is right. It is everything to the soul.
All your vids are good but this was a next level social documentary. I absolutely loved seeing some of the characters that make up the venice community + the flow they exhibit with having the park wired
Thanks for the video pals! I love Andy Anderson, he's inspiring me - a 30 years old fckng russian boy (sorry)) - and it's always a pleasure to see him skatin! And also it was really interesting to meet a local guys and gals - you're super-amazing too! Espesially that incredible skating Doggie and Vincent w/ his 420 bottle, ahaha)) Much love to you, NKA, keep rollin!

Damn.. I’m 30 years old from Montreal and I just got back to skateboarding. It has been 15 years that I did not skate. It’s like brand new to me but I try hard to learn it. I’m currently travelling to BC and I’m planning on going to Cali this winter. Would love to go to Venice and chill with the locals.

Tremendous video Nigel and really amazing people you interviewed. Would be cool if you did the same to other parks that have some history into it.
Wolfkiel, 12:22 ..... I'm not sure what you call that, but it's fabulously artistic, and a great shot with the ocean in the background.
