This makes my 7 year old daughter so happy! She's the only girl skater where we live, and this gives her a feeling of validation, reassurance. I cannot thank Braile enough for making this video! We appreciate you guys!
I wish everytime someone teaches how ollies are done, they would talk about the feet position. It's one of the main things for a beginner. I really struggled a lot, but after I realized my backfeet needs to be more on the board and not in the backest tail, I just started landing them. The feet position is the main thing that affects how far the board will fly forwards. The more back your back feet is, the more further the board goes. Also it's very important to jump before the pop. This is also worth mentioning as at least I had issues to realize that first. If you jump when the board hits the ground, then the board is not popping at all.
As someone learning in their twenties I love this channel. Gives me so many pointers when I’ve felt stuck. Love the positivity and excitement to help people learn and help them also fall in love with skating
So tempted to start skating again, haven’t been on a board since I was 18 , I’m 44 now but watching your vids has really got me wanting to start again!
Do it!!! and check out over 30 beginner skaters FB group- very supportive, and the majority of people are getting back on after long hiatus....mixed in with some complete newbies ...mixed in with people who have been skating for decades....learned alot from there, and great to post if you are having trouble with something or want to show your new trick to people who will appreciate it haha
Love Glo putting the turn around in. For a beginner it really is a trick and leads to lots more. Didn't expect that but it is a must learn for a new skater.
I just drove over an hour today to get myself a used board as my first one so the timing of the video was just perfect. I'll go and roll around a bit tomorrow to get comfortable and then I'll try some of these tricks. Thanks for getting me into skating 🤗
The quality of the video is amazing ! So is the attitude of all the members of the Braille team. Being positive is what we need in those rough times.. Thank you👍
Aight so here's my little story..... I completed 17 yrs of my life in June,I live in Bharat, and I was gonna get a bike for my bday, but all of a sudden I started watching Braille Skateboarding videos and guess what I got for my bday instead of a bike?.....a sk8board! My parents thought I was crazy to get a sk8board instead of a bike but I managed to convince them. I am a beginner still but am working on my shuvit and ollie at the moment(learning from your vids on YT)! Thank you so much for inspiring me and making me take this great decision of getting a sk8board! Lots of love!
I’m 37 years old and I woke up yesterday deciding an Ollie was a must on my bucket list. Bought a board and pushed for a half hour before work. Looking forward to tomorrow morning.
I do a body varial straight into a faking pivot and I think it looks pretty cool so I call it the switch and flick I’d suggest other beginners try it really fun really easy and it built my confidence on my board
𝙏𝙝𝙖𝙣𝙠 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙨𝙤 𝙢𝙪𝙘𝙝! My 5 year old just got a skateboard for Christmas, and he’s been trying to teach himself tricks all day. I’ll show him this to help us out. ❣️
I love to teach my friends how to skate. I might teach my beginner friends how to do these tricks to show them it's not all about kickflips and tre flips.
The shove it tips were great especially the back foot placement. I went out and tried it. Landed a pop shove it FIRST TRY! Then 20 or so attempts later, I couldn’t land another one. 😡
I just have to shift my weight. That's really it, and I have to apply that to my rolling ollies. I can do solid ollies flat, but not rolling. I'll come back when needed. Thank you Braille again!
