Ever since I started watching braille I have wanted to learn how to skateboard and I am confident in saying that I can now land an ollie. If Braille wasn’t around I can confidently say that I would have never gotten on a board in my life. Now I can’t stop skating. From practicing skills in my basement, to getting kicked out of parking lots by cops (we leave respectfully) and hunting for a new skate spot. Thanks for inspiring people like me to find a new passion. Keep skating.
That's the awesome thing about skateboarding. It's your own personal experience. Some people like to skate on flat ground and others love ramps and stuff. There isn't just a single road you have to follow.
THANK YOU SO much for this one! It is so much more difficult than you think and hard to find a scut down basic lesson this! Love you all at Braille - Love from Canada!
I skated aged 12-16 yo, then again a short time at 30-32 yo, now I'm 40+ and I got the passion again by watching these vids, but I can't get myself to go to any skatepark or even here in the neighbourhood where people will probably think that I have a midlife crisis or being just a weird guy... (I used to land these tricks though back in the day and a couple more, not that I was the most perfect skater but the friendships, the laughter, the encouragement amongst guys/girls that even didn't know each other... surely miss that
Chris: I never really see people fall forward when learning to drop in. *looks at my broken arm* Surgical consult today. Definitely need surgery, but all I'm thinking about is going back and doing it better in 6 weeks. x)
I had a scary fall trying to learn to drop in last year and now it’s in my head. I have to roll into everything, even off coping and that I’m told is way more sketchy. I am thinking if I learn to tail stall that’s a total cheat to getting over my fear of dropping in? Or should I just learn to drop in so that my tail stalls are attainable?
Just wanted to let you guys know I'm going to be grabbing a board off braille website once I get paid this week. I used to skate alot I was in the process of learning to kickflip I landed it a couple times sketch landings. But you guys have inspired me to want to get back into it.
Got some budget shoes and a complete arriving at the end of the week. Can't wait to get to the park with my buddy and his son. Going to try my best not to wreck myself :)
Watching this helping me get over my crippling fear of miniramps (I know, lol) First time I attempted to start moving from street skating to trying miniramps/vert I got 7staples in the back of my head...stuck to the streets, curbs, ledges, rails, kickers, launch ramps, hips, and stairs from that day on... Might revisit miniramp someday! This was very informative and awesome! Thanks guys!
@@brailleskateboarding omg you replied you probably won't see this but I watched you vid and dropped in on vert you also inspired me to make a yt channel so I have to say a big thank you
Horrible at vert and have only ever done a frontside disaster. I used to do tail slides on curbs so I’m excited to try tail stalls! Glo made them look easy!
It always confused me as a kid why it was called 'backside' when the turn is 'forward'. It took years for someone to explain to me that 'backside' refers to where your back is pointing in relation to the coping.
It all comes from surfing terms. Backside means your back is facing the wave, frontside means your front is facing the wave imagine the halfpipe is a wave
Hi braille, I am learning dropping in, and what seemed to help me was think i was going to lift my backfoot up. Is that something you guys would recomened or am i doing it all wrong?
Whatever helps you feel more comfortable is the way to do it! There is no way that is set in stone for skateboarding and that's why its cool. Taking all of your weight off your back foot will help you with more advanced tricks like rock the fakie and rolling in to a ramp too!
Never skated mini ramps much but I think a rock and roll is easier than a lot of the tricks listed I got comfortable with them my first time skating a mini ramp while I struggled with axle stalls and tail stalls, a variation where you ride up fakie and pivot 180 from the nose into a rock and roll is pretty cool looking and not that hard
I think axle stalls are the worst for me. Maybe it’s because the height of the ramp I ride, but I’ve learned a few tricks so far and still struggle getting axle stalls.
Such a great video! Keep them coming! Though, these beginner tricks make up more than half my half-pipe arsenal, which I've been sticking to for like 10 years! Lol
When you guys team up for sessions and tutorials, the channel is unbeatable.

These tips are invaluable! I will always remember the “turn your head to see where your going before turning your board” that is a very helpful tip!
Big brain Braille
Full commitment and believe in yourself you can do it!!! 💯🔥
So Salazar progression into an axle stall looks like my path! Thank you for the awesome content!!
CHris has th emost oddly soothing voice on the Braille team. I quite enjoy when he's the host.
Never stop making amazing videos!
🙌🏻
well thought out.
you guys are becoming legit educators.

Thank you guys. I’m still working my fundamentals and love every minute of it.
Keep it up
Thanks for making this. Wanted to get better on ramps so this will help a ton. Thank you guys for being so awesome

I feel you. It's wierd. Going to a snowpark is totally OK but visiting a skate park as an 38 years old feels wrong.
Don't worry about what anyone else thinks. If you have a passion to get back on the board, go do it! It's for you not anyone else. :)
My parents are 50+ year olds and they still go to the skatepark. As long as we are having fun, we don't care if people judge us :)
@@issmodissmo1485why u saying that
@lara-ch5qc it's great in a group but I'm in same situation, 40yo going alone to a skatepark turns heads.

Let's go Braille team is the best always looking forward to a new video every day the most meditative videos on RUclips

Another helpful video 🙌🤘

I'm completely new to skateboarding. what are some goals I should set for myself ?
Skate almost everyday for 10+ minutes getting use to the board and skating on it without tricks. Then move up to SMS volume 1.
@@brailleskateboarding thanks man I appreciate it :D
This was juuuuust what I needed! Are we adding the Salazar to the Braille Army app?
We should
It’s an amazing thing, and perfect for my next trick, can’t wait to try it on the mini ramp today!

Just wish the board i wanted was available in 7.5". But glad to get a deck to Estonia.
My goal is to get my channel on the same level as Braille LOL A boi can dream
Keep pushing and uploading! You got this!
Thanks! I've been a fan of Aaron Kyro since before Braille! I remember seeing him do a manny 3 flip manny as an ender and it shaped my skate style
I really like to skate transitions and bowls more than street. i thinks its the speed, its really cool.
Ty i will try all of these thx braille
In the process of building a halfpipe after not skating for 9 years. Thank you for this it couldn't have popped up on my feed at a better time.
Thank you Braille for the lesson
