I work the Mid day shift for FedEx Express as a Courier. Yes we do have our own route and we do have a vehicle assigned to the route but my vehicle is often taken by someone from the a.m. shift. I haven't had my assigned vehicle for 2 weeks now. Many of us whom are working the mid day shift have been having to cover not only our route but also an additional route near ours, that sucks so dang bad.
I,m a pick up driver at express I never get the same truck everyday. I have to wait until 1 comes in. Sometimes I have to wait an hour for a truck to come in.
Damn, they had you on 20 year top out plan. I made top of scale as a courier around 2006. It was 10 years for me. I've have been an RTD since 2006 and, have been at top of scale the whole time. The market level I'm in, top of scale(RTD) is 31.42 an hour. Unfortunately that 3% raise we got will be less do to the fact that the company is raising healthcare premiums again. Same ole FedEx bullshit.
My station in st.Pete /Clearwater fl is still a BO station with increased cost of living we did get our step progression raise but they did away with the hr break 30 minutes after 6 hours I’m a swing driver at my station and for swings we get slutted out sometimes especially if you have to work doubles everyday my station has response so you can imagine the workload we have to deal with most days. The extra dollar is nice but sometimes it gets overwhelming
All pay at Federal Express is based on "Market Level ". Higher pay in high cost of living areas, lower pay in lower cost of living areas. Market levels are denoted with a letter(A,B,C etc.). Ask your ops manager what market level you are in.
Mine said courier/dot so am I mainly gonna be driving box trucks? Really dont want to but everyone I work with have been sayin thats what I'll be doing but others said I'll have the option of driving a box truck so Im confused
That's why I quit because u. Be doing stuff That's outside ur job description,no ac in truck, have to wake up very early to be able to get a Leo or good vehicle, gps system sucks, lazy coworkers
There’s 10 raises which most likely happens yearly… I’m not sure how FedEx Express does raises as a whole. From my understanding it all depends on your station and not the company as a whole. If you are looking to be a delivery driver for a long period time or as a career, I would go with UPS. They have better benefits, higher pay, and faster pay scale.
I just got hired for fedex express and start in 2 weeks . Do you get alot of overtime or is overtime offered ? And what about Christmas bonuses n stuff like that is it pretty good
I wish we got a Christmas bonus. However, they do give pretty nice raises. We get one every October. I've worked there a year and a half and during my time working here, I got my two raises in Oct. And they gave us additional surprise raise in the summer.
At my station you could choose your hours each week. There is a schedule online with slots that you can put your name down for. You only have to work one shift every 60 days to not get let go of.
Oh nice ! Thanks man helps a lot ! Im sure it’s different at all stations it was my first day today I applied for part time driving that’s why I was wondering.
@cauzmo how are the benefits? Are they expensive ? I’ve been asking this question because it’s very important. You don’t want to work but receiving half of pay because the benefits are expensive. I start in 2 weeks . Please let me know at your convenience. Thank you in advance.
Just stick to what you’re saying don’t say in one sentence, you have nothing but the upmost respect for your managers and then the next sentence say they have egos and attitudes anybody that has an ego in an attitude with me I’m not gonna have the most respect for
You’re a great guy, I really appreciate you making videos like this!

We have to take our second lunch at our 8th hour and have to stay on the clock 1 hour befor clocking out for end of day 😢
but that's at every place management. thinks that it keeps you motivated
My station made mandatory hour lunches so I get my P1 done and then go on lunch.
What determines if you drive a sprinter van vs. a box truck at FedEx Express? I really only want to drive a van. What would my options be for this?
Box truck you need to take a different test and be DOT. Van is non dot
The amount of air conditioning in the summer...

Pretty sure some holidays are double time. And yes you can get a lot of overtime.
It depends how big your station is. Small stations don't get as much Overtime, but Large station get a alot of OT.

I only hate on new stuff happening ie "RESPONSE"
Oh ok
👍Response imho is a waste of money.
We have that at my station too there has been rumors that they are getting rid of response
