I actually got the game a few days after it released and I just played the story. I didn’t know how to do combos or anything cause it was my first 2D fighting game. I wish I had actually learned cause season 1 looked so epic.
It’s so weird to see Bamco being incredibly receptive and making positive changes to DBFZ as a Tekken fan who keeps seeing incredibly greedy decisions and refusal to even touch busted-ass characters. Like imagine if peak GT was still around, or the Level 3 mix was never stopped. That’s what playing s4 Tekken 7 is like.

Well I imagine that it would've been patched out faster if it was discovered faster. In fact, it would've been patched a lot sooner after it was discovered since Season 2 notoriously had almost no balance patches all year long.

I always say the best time I had playing this game was the start of season 2, pre gt goku. The game felt balanced after the adult Gohan 16 nerfs, and the buffs changed the game. Then it all went downhill when fuzzies were discovered and gt goku dropped.
Yeah, I was having a good time before gt. After that I got so tired that I made a silly promise with myself to quit the media I was watching the instant there was a gt Goku. This marked a long period in which I stopped watching the game hahaha

@@MoldyBagel there's more to 16 as well. 5H having infinite armor is one this video overlooked actually. I see a lot of people say S2 GT Goku was the strongest ever which I've always disagreed with. At least the rat had to spend 3 bars and needed a specific set up. 16 touched you once and your life was a gamble at that point.
I can't get into the mindset of these touch of death button mashers, but I absolutely love learning about 'em. Keep being the best DBFZ channel out there so I don't have to actually play the game myself.
Another thing, we knew about fuzzies back in season 1, however the only character that was found to be good at it was Piccolo since his were universal. No one used it because we had better options at the time. We didn't discover universal setups until near the end of season 2.
Real quick, most of the characters in the game could universal fuzzy, you just needed a j.L that hit at a downwards angle. That's why in season 2 you often saw Kid Buus go high in the air, do delayed level 1, call in Gohan, who would then jump up and snap you out so they could just go straight into it. Even characters who were considered bad (Gogeta) were considered usable because it was very very easy for them to either fuzzy or setup the fuzzy for a character who could do it.
I still love watching your videos even if i don't play any fighting game (bc i don't have friend for learn me how to play :(.. sad) but i love how you show all details, montage and not spit on the game but on details that look like everyone hate :)
A little late to Dragonball, so got into Fighterz post season 1. I'm impressed BN worked so hard to improve the game! If it makes you feel better about the tall boy abuse, certain combos like some of Frieza's just dont work on them. My favorite setup has always been to sticky energy ball right next to a character. It usually works well, as it was slightly too high to be stopped with normal attacks.. unless you were someone like Z Broly or 16. Attempting to do this means a punch in the face or worse, and it can't justifiably be patched out.
8:00 fuzzies were discovered back in the summer of 2018 in the middle of season 1, not at the start of season 2. I can find RUclips videos discussing it from around August 2018.
true, but that is extremely infeasible unfortunately. if you know how rollback is developed (which i know the VERY VERY basics) you'd know that it has to be developed from the ground up pretty much, and it was unlikely bamco was gonna do this. i am predicting they are holding off on purpose to milk rollback in a sequel.
