- With a lot of brake noise thrown in for good measure. Terrible howling noise from my rear brake at the moment which seems to exaggerate on the camera mic so apologies for the interference. Changed my pads, new resin from used sintered, degreased my rotor so in theory should be silent. Now messing with caliper alignment but anyhow on to the riding
Usual make it up as you go along ride put together by Charlie. We ended up in Edenfield Woods with little time to spare so only managed 1 descent. The trails were quite appalling from start to finish for the time of year but the other option was to stay at home so that was pretty obviously a no brainer 🤘
Another fantastic video as always Martin, In fact I enjoyed it so much that I followed your route yesterday! Was a great ride but Edenfield woods was proper sketchy in parts!!!
Cheers Simon, apologies for the delay in responding, not been here for a while. Hopefully you didn't make the same mistake as us and go around the hill at Edenfield when we could have nipped over the top and dropped straight in but you live and learn. We are going to spend a bit more time there sometime soon probably on a Wed night
Sounds like your rotor needs cleaning to me loving the hardtail content keep it up 👍🏻
Removed the rotor and pads today and gave both a good blast with brake cleaner. Caliper is centred, I've changed pads and cleaned rotor previously but not as vigurous as today. If it does it again I'll have to get a new rotor, think I have a spare used one in garage so can try that before forking out more dosh, cheers
@@mtbnorthwestengland sanding the rotor and pads might also help if you change to new pads without cleaning the rotor good they make a racket cause of the old brake pad material
Short but, sweet. Mad moment on that downward righthand corner after the controlled dismount. Was a tad suprised at how you simply rolled into it and rode it through. Nicely done.

Good video of some of my local stuff, just a little heads up..if you go slightly lower from the roots section on 1st part of buckden woods it’s a better line through a less rooty line and then take a sharp left at fallen tree into steep fun chute to the stream and pedal up the road. ( you may well know this)👌
@@peterhaworth6859 Cheers I did know it, used to be a gap jump across the stream until it got removed. Charlie, the guy in front occasionally rides the roots so I was after some click bait 😂

@@peterhaworth6859 I think PMBA used to go that way? Might go for a mooch, any loop we can use for our evening sessions 10 miles or so with some tech?
Looks a bit wetter than we did it !, dont want to go off that wall in the dark !.
@tastytechaddictsmtb Yeah it was pretty crap conditions but the story of our summer so far I'm afraid. Falling off that wall (the wall where the big spaghetti roots are?) will probably get you a visit to A&E

Yer that wall drop we nearly went gunning into , then realised it was like dropping off a shed roof 🤣🤷😆

@@mtbnorthwestengland did all the tech 6:30 onwards, before that it’s messing around with the bike which is setup for jumping so like riding a shopping trolley. Once it was setup ok it was slaying the tech
Any chance of a garmin/strava link or gpx? looks nice and local to me but dont recognise it at all !
