- An almost repeated ride of one done with Tasty Tech earlier in the year for the benefit of Mark who wasn't able to previously join
The day started very promising quite dry and sunny with a few small puddles here and there on the trails and then an hour or so in it decided to rain fairly steady enough to change the conditions on the floor to mud and grease. Any loamy, dirt trails quickly clogged your tyres making sure you were just a passenger on the bike with like zero grip and no control but still good fun
Quite a bit of unusual tech on this loop hence second time I've done it in the last 6 months
A few weeks back it was virtually dry,Now after a spell of crap weather it’s slick everywhere again.beautiful having all the gates opened for you down to paved for your granny, shame that last one wasn’t opened tho😅
Started off quite dry and not too bad conditions and then the rain just made it super slick and muddy and yeah the gatekeepers were very welcomed. After that first descent it all went a bit pear shaped, heavy burst of rain and the rest is history 😆. You could see it was drying out on Alpine at the end 👌
@@mtbnorthwestengland I was on lost lad, cutgate same day dodged most of the rain but got headwind in the face coming back from langset.Definetly wet out there ATM.
Anyway heading back out there again this week for another dose👍
@@GDCridesMTB you did well to avoid the rain but it was patchy. Alpine had a pretty strong mild wind going on, great for trail drying. Great trail cut gate, did it in Feb and it held up very well now they have flagged over the infinite bog of doom👌
Great vid mate, hopefully we will get a few days of summer this year 😂
Chhers pal, seems to be warming up now, let's hope it dries those boggy sections of trails deep in the woods 👍🏼
@@mtbnorthwestengland Yeah fingers crossed buddy 👍🏼
Will the dry weather ever arrive? Well earned pints at the end.
All we can do is keep our fingers and everything else crossed but wet trails with forecast of rain and wind is proper demotivational as you probably know. We were gonna go the lakes but that had a far worse forecast although you can pick a route with rocky trails and hope for the best 🙏
U ever considered getting komoot and posting a link for ye rides. Bit cheeky IK but wld be great to follow and komoot gives best gps voice and map guidance
All my rides are on Komoot but I tend to keep them private unless somebody asks for a gpx. If they are quite cheeky which most are I move them back to private once they have downloaded the file. I presume once you have the gpx you can load it as your route and download it to your phone/nav device?
