That's the kind of talking I do to myself whenever I get to tricky sections but I've not got the excuse of recording it for a RUclips channel. Another great route, thank for sharing
When you have the camera rolling you have to do it the other way i.e. speak instead of thinking which takes a bit of getting used to. However, when riding with others I rarely talk to the camera, more so have the conversation with others. If I talk to the camera, others tend to say what, didn't hear you thinking you are talking to them 🤣 Another route with an angry farmer when you hit Hundreds Lane to Wansfell. If you go round and up Nanny Lane you may get less hassle but this is also a FP 🤷♂️
@@mtbnorthwestengland I had thought this route as an option this weekend but it’s likely to be raining & it looks like it’d be best drier. My talking out loud to myself is usually lots of swearing & psyching myself up to stop fannying about & do the tech bit. I must sound like a right loon
Hi, I’ve just been watching one of your cracking videos and I’ve noticed that you are on 999 subscribers so I’ve just subscribed so hopefully you can start making a few quid, love the content 👌🏼🤩
Cheers pal, was on 996 for quite a while didn't see it increase, but thanks for getting me to the major milestone. I don't think I'll be retiring off the proceeds anytime soon but thanks for your kind consideration 👌
@ you’re very welcome pal. I enjoy watching all of your videos anyway. Well, at least it’s a bit of pocket money for all your hard work, just hope it continues and grows for you 🤞🏻😉
Don't think its one for the Ebike Rob, as soon as you touch the pedals you will for sure spin out and lose whatever little control and traction there was. I'll get round to watching your Ullock edit shortly, it keeps popping up but always seem busy riding bikes, filming or editing 🤷♂️
Tried this route out yesterday a it had been dry all week in the Lakes. Got a bit turned around on Wansfell, but good fun descent. Ran out big time so couldn’t fit in Nab Scar loop; still, it’s not going anywhere
Better to try than not do it at all, when you say turned around on Wansfell, do you mean the farmer turned you round or the bike spun round on the trail?
@@mtbnorthwestengland no, I mean I took a wrong turn. I’ve heard about that angry farmer but as I didn’t make it to the summit, I think I missed him on the full descent. Oh well, onwards & upwards….
Depends on the route you do. Nab Scar is an awesome descent on a clear day if you come down from Fairfield, there’s a video somewhere on my channel. I would never recommend climbing 😁 but the way I did it is just fine on a claggy day when you don’t want to go too high or you’ll be in the cloud. I really enjoy the increased tech of Alcock Tarn and the flowy bit prior is quite good 👍

Thought you were off a few times at he end there. Well ridden.
Cheers pal, I was pleased with how the last descent went
Liked that.. and well done on that last greasy descent (looks an handful)
Thanks, have to say that last descent is awesome in the dry and I sadistically enjoyed it in the wet because it was a proper good challenge 😆

That last descent looked tasty 😁

I’d seen this as I subscribe to your channel but thanks anyway
I think the last dry weekend people will see for a while hense why so busy .
Yeah and people were out in their droves in the morning and dwindled into the afternoon when the rain came
Have you got the GPX file or Strava for this? Looks great
Having not been up there, either way, would you recommend climbing or descending Nab Scar? TIA
