I'm a medium control pad user and these feet were way to fast out of the box, the first week I was using them on slower and slower pads and eventually I went all the way down to a worn GSR trying to get any level of control back, but the only thing that changed on cloth control pads was the glide felt slower but the near 0 static friction stayed the same. I ended up switching to hybrid speed pads like the Venus and Hien and had a much better time on those, even if those pads are not my cup of tea normally. The Superglides V1 and V2 for my mouse has worn down my ParaSpeed XXL Cordura pad with a shinier texture where it is muddy and hard to do microadjustments on. I switched mouse and kept the PTFE and rotated my mousepad for a clean surface and no wear so far with PTFE skates. So buyers beware!
I've been waiting for your review on the glides for a little while and now and I'm so happy you finally got it out. Thanks for the awesome reviews, much appreciate it.
Had them for 2 weeks now and I agree so much about the horrible desktop usage these pads provide... Also for crosshair placement intensive games it really depends how you grip your mouse and what sensitivity you are playing on, to benefit from these pads. Increasing to 45cm/360 in valorant with superglides on a hien soft helped alot for me for all micromovements (flicks, adjustments, tracking)
honestly ty for that last bit on how it feels on a clean/dirty pad, no one every says that stuff in mouse feet reviews so i end up having to test it my self.
I've been using them for the last couple of months and my experiences are actually 100% represented in this vid. (*i have the Lethal gaming gear mouse skates though*). Very nice Video!👍
Great feedback on these glass glides, but the looks hooked me so bad! I want the reds and I'd probably let the mouse rest upsidedown when not using so I can admire it! hahahh 🤘⚡
I do lots of flick shots and use super low sensitivity, the glass feet works really well for me in games. It is a trade between accuracy to responsiveness.
its is pretty simple if you got some muscle control you counter the movement you initiated which can make the gameplay much MUCH more precise The thing is many aren't willing to train to get used to it. I was willing to and my aim keeps on improving past scores in aimlab what it were before.
You know how weird it feels when someone complains about them being weaker than bodybuilders at the weakest point. There is literally no reason to compare your measly couple hundred hours in aim training compared to others thousands of hours and if you spent your time enjoying the game instead of grinding your aim improvement everyday or at least consistently and putting in 100 percent concentration no music no irrelevant thoughts just improvement then don't complain. Unless proclaiming that you are bad at aiming is just your thing...
@@meh6513 I’ve been playing CSGO with occasional aim practice for over 10 years and have come to accept that I suck compared to him - I’ll stick to excel’s for my livelihood some people are just pound-for-pound better at some things. Edit: will try the regimen out, though because my practice is very half assed now that you mention it
@@sephondranzer AimLabs is pretty decent but kovaks aim trainer is better although not free as you can change target size and thus practice flicking and tracking a small target like heads in CSGO. But i suppose aim training is only so useful in CSGO as CSGO has spray patterns that you need to learn...maybe CSGO aimbotz might be good for that?
As someone with shaky hands, it's surprising to me how surprising the motion filtering/damping effects are to you! I was very happy when cloth mouse pads became standard and I didn't have to try hunt down stock of razer control pads. You have sold me on not getting these, and that's not a point against Superglide, but definitely a point for you. Thanks
I love these pads too. There was definitely a breaking and adjustment period. I also noticed that I don’t get as much mouse fatigue because there is less effort with moving it. I use it with GN mouse mat with the pulsar wireless mouse
I've gotten used to play without glides, and with ingrown glue residue from where the glides sat on my mouse that now have come down into my QcK+ mousepad. That is the kind of stopping power I need. I combat the high resistance with high sensitivity. My tracking actually won't improve with another mouse or clean mousepad. It kind of stays the same, but I do miss all the prediction shots with explosives like rocket launchers when I don't have the stopping power. The only benefit with high glide is that I have to lower the sensitivity that helps with long distance railing, but that's it. Even movement/strafejumping gets worse with higher glide. I hit up to around 46% LG during death matches aganist noobs. I would like to improve that, but I don't really know how. Getting used to no glides and dirty mousepad isn't the best thing in the long run though since it's hard to become consistant when the pad eventually gets too slow even for me due to the dirt.
the one thing i got from this video is in my 10 years of gaming, there are swappable mice stickers and there is a mouse pad for control or speed. thank you!
Been using these for about a week now, was expecting more of a feel of difference from the stock feet, but they definitely felt more smooth in the micro movements. It’s kinda crazy when I started hitting more noticeable wingman shots…. Idek if it’s the skates but I definitely see a difference in the amount of wingman shots I hit now. I also modded my switches and scroll encoder that may play a part in it aswell lol
I honestly think that superglides could be useful as a training tool. Get better mouse control with super low-friction skates (because you have to), and then back on normal skates, you should have better smoothness and not need to micro adjust as much.
I’ve had these for a couple of weeks now and love them, lowered my dpi and in game sense a little and it’s been a dream to play with. Tracking people in warzone has never felt smoother. Also with the lowered dpi in windows, I’ve felt the mouse is much more usable than at a higher dpi.
This reminds me of the LEXIT ceramic pads I bought some time ago. At the first time the "friction less" experience was too much for me but in a pair of weeks trying to go back was impossible. I haven't hear of these but y would likely try it.
Thats not just "a" hairdryer 2:04 . THats like one of the most expensive hair drers out there "THE DYSON".. This dude is all about getting the best isnt he :)
Yessss I commented that you should make a video about these a few weeks back, and here it is! Great hearing your opinion on these….pulsar actually has some new mice coming out that may be worth reviewing as well. Cheers
Totally different item but I started using the razer fire fly v2 mouse pad. It's a hard surface and I believe it has helped my aiming and shooting in fps games. The surface allows the mouse to glide effortlessly
Call me crazy. But curious how using the glass pad on just the lower portion of the mouse and stock pad on the upper would feel. I feel like that might help with sweeping the mouse but while shooting "clicking" you'll have the added friction from the stock pad. Definitely worth a shot?
My best mouse experience is actually with a4tech bloody mouse. I freakin love the aluminum skates on them. No friction at all and the lifespan is like infinite. I've had my bloody mouse almost 10 years and the skates are in perfect condition. Not a single scratch or wear at all and the friction doesn't change at all no matter how blotchy, dirty etc. your pad is. Unfortunately, cause there's the goddamn internal "CPU" and program for auto aims etc. (which you still need to unlock) all bloody mouses are banned by many anti-cheats. I wish some other brand would use aluminum skates.
If you want to preserve the day 1 glide of these forever, use an automotive ceramic nanocoating on them. I saw this being done on reddit and the results were insane. Ceramic is much harder to scratch than glass so all the lint and dust particles will have no impact on it
I've used these for around 6 months and after the first 3-4 months the skates got very sticky and lost their 'super' glide. A little bit of soapy water on them made them slide nice and smooth again, but they're not as insane as when I first put them on. They used to be overkill now they're just fine. I still find the plastic skates to be the best option however, as they didn't gunk up in the same way quite as easily.
Hey Ali, i was a little worried about some of the criticisms you had for these slides but I gotta say, for heavier mice this is actually a great upgrade, I just put these on the g903 which is 110g, and there is way less resistance when sliding back and forth which is great so far, i can see how this can be rought for people with lightweights though tbh. Another minor detail is that noise is also reduced which probably doesnt matter to most people! anywho great review and keep it up!
I got these today, I play tarkov mainly and within 5 minutes I was making headshots with ease. And beat my max kill record in the first raid. A major upgrade for me....I love them !!! I don't get cursor drift or any issues with desktop use. This is the future in skates and for me they are forking excellent. Edit: G Pro X
I feel like when people talk about these slowing down they don't mean static friction. I feel they slow down in terms of dynamic friction and for me become perfect! So easy to micro adjust and still hit perfect flicks
I also tried these very recently on the superlight. I loved the feel of the glide, I'd have stuck with them for a while, EXCEPT---they made my mouse cursor drift when it was sitting perfectly stationary, and that was a dealbreaker for me. The click-dragging referenced in the video was an annoyance for me using it windows. How it was happening, I have no idea, I tried a bunch of things, and there was nothing I could do to stop it. Maybe my desk is very slightly unlevel, but even after I put a weight beside the mouse to ensure it couldn't slide left, it still drifted left on my screen. I chatted with someone else who said they noticed the same thing (though it seemed to bother them less). I switched to corepads because my factory pads were too battered to keep using. It was a costly little experiment.
your desk is probably uneven. it’s a pretty common issue. everyone says once they get these glides they realise their desk is actually not level which moves the mouse even when they don’t touch it.
I do not use these superglides for gaming. I use it for graphic arts and other tasks where i need very little or no resistance so i can move a mouse pointer millimeters at a time to do detail work with computer graphcs and animation work. That is where these skates shine!
I would like skates that don't wear out eventually. I have had my Logitech G302 for 7 years and I have replaced the skates twice. Thankfully the G303 has the same pattern, and Logi still sells replacements for like $4 on their website. I would think that glass doesn't wear out like the material the feet are made from now.
the cut at 5:55 OOahhh your video production quality is insane. how can you manage making not a single video with anything to criticize about. there is no argument against the fact that you are the best tech youtuber in existence.
I dont know if anyone is gonna read this but, the first gen superglides needs to break in first, they do have a lot of control, just not out of the box. the 2nd gen are frosted so they dont need to break in. I have 3 sets for the g703, when I bought the new ones my mouse started slipping off my table, thats when I found out my table wasnt levelled
We need these as a mobile conposite but right now i just use metal on glass, the more sensitive atleast i’ve found trying to get the lowest friction possible for sure inpacts your aim at the start but after a while and you turn the sens down it’s insanely clean for tracking and headtapping. At the endof the day your gonna get better with more sensitive and friction less concepts but over time with lower sens it’s insane, you could technically find the absolute perfect sens for you if there is little to no friction. Definitely not for everyone but for those who choose to main them i can assure you it will unliock new limits
horrible experience if you have sweaty palms. After 10 minutes the smoothness disappear. I felt a lot of friction and sticky spot. Unless you also need to use a specific mousepad, stay away and avoid.
Good to know, idek why I get sweaty palms. Just got a g pro wireless and a large logi mousepad and after a WEEK of playing where my mouse sits I can feel more Friction than anywhere else. It's annoying and noticeable
I've been waiting for lethal skates glass feet to be in stock. Ordered these superglides before this review finished. I use fairly high sensitivity on my setup tried lowering it but couldn't stand it. This will definitely help with those micro adjustments with my current sensitivity.
Wanting on if they are going to release G502 skates. It is also good to have an option to replace the pads when maintenance is done on the mouse, like cleaning it out or when the adhesive on the pads fail.
I unironically love superglide dots on my hayate otsu. I have them on my wlmouse rn and I always think about swapping back to it instead of my current ulx. Being able to microadjust smoothly by just flexing my hand suits my aiming style very well. I don't think the loss of stopping power is nearly as bad as the glass superglide pad either.
Need a DUNE Stillsuit but maybe just a Stillsuit Glove w/ Glass pads on touch points of the glove, which would keep the mouse pad clean and free of oils/sweat for optimal consistency.

This test with a hairdryer is just insane. Amazing content as usual
I thought it was a a reference to Superdry, a fashion brand.
Increasing to 45cm/360 in valorant with superglides on a hien soft helped alot for me for all micromovements (flicks, adjustments, tracking)
i love you for using Xcm/360 instead of meaningless sens/dpi
helps a lot since its always a universal thing
@@keppycs
honestly ty for that last bit on how it feels on a clean/dirty pad, no one every says that stuff in mouse feet reviews so i end up having to test it my self.
I've been using them for the last couple of months and my experiences are actually 100% represented in this vid. (*i have the Lethal gaming gear mouse skates though*). Very nice Video!👍
Goo Awayyy, your one of the best tech reviewers IMO and you play way better than most people that play 4hrs or more a day.....it's not fair!
Great feedback on these glass glides, but the looks hooked me so bad! I want the reds and I'd probably let the mouse rest upsidedown when not using so I can admire it! hahahh 🤘⚡
7:59 that shot was so good i laughed with awe and amazement. It was fucking Sensational!!!
I do lots of flick shots and use super low sensitivity, the glass feet works really well for me in games. It is a trade between accuracy to responsiveness.
What games? Would they be good in valorant/csgo?
@@gamermaster1998 I do csgo and overwatch. Works very well for me at 800dpi* 0.8 in csgo and 3 in ow
@@davidzhou3923 Thank you!
its is pretty simple if you got some muscle control you counter the movement you initiated which can make the gameplay much MUCH more precise
The thing is many aren't willing to train to get used to it. I was willing to and my aim keeps on improving past scores in aimlab what it were before.
Optimum Tech: ‘As you can see my aim is complete garbage here’
Also Optimum Tech: *Shows off aim equal to me on my best of days*
Me: 😫
You know how weird it feels when someone complains about them being weaker than bodybuilders at the weakest point.
@@meh6513
I’ve been playing CSGO with occasional aim practice for over 10 years and have come to accept that I suck compared to him - I’ll stick to excel’s for my livelihood some people are just pound-for-pound better at some things.
Thanks
Great review as always Ali, ive been using them on my viper ultimate on my hien and love them.
Hats off for the creativity in this review!
I love these pads too. There was definitely a breaking and adjustment period. I also noticed that I don’t get as much mouse fatigue because there is less effort with moving it. I use it with GN mouse mat with the pulsar wireless mouse
Mouse fatigue 😂
@@mathrewnds Aim fatigue is a real thing, especially with heavier mice and low sensitivities.
i like that u actually know how to play games when u talk about this stuff
Starlight 12?
How’d you mod it?
This might be really good for Osu Mouse player.. Kinda excited to try it..
I honestly think that superglides could be useful as a training tool. Get better mouse control with super low-friction skates (because you have to), and then back on normal skates, you should have better smoothness and not need to micro adjust as much.
Thumbnail is so clean dude.
What is your mousepad?
@@ravi1916 the pulsar gaming gear para brake xl
jesus your aim is amazing
This reminds me of the LEXIT ceramic pads I bought some time ago. At the first time the "friction less" experience was too much for me but in a pair of weeks trying to go back was impossible. I haven't hear of these but y would likely try it.
Did you say "a pair of weeks" instead of "Fortnight"?? :)
Here we are again watching Ali's godlike FPS skillz.
Thats not just "a" hairdryer 2:04 . THats like one of the most expensive hair drers out there "THE DYSON".. This dude is all about getting the best isnt he :)
Expensive ≠ best
Yessss I commented that you should make a video about these a few weeks back, and here it is! Great hearing your opinion on these….pulsar actually has some new mice coming out that may be worth reviewing as well. Cheers
Totally different item but I started using the razer fire fly v2 mouse pad. It's a hard surface and I believe it has helped my aiming and shooting in fps games. The surface allows the mouse to glide effortlessly
“I thought glass mouse skates were a meme until they started getting really popular” what a frickin hype beast lmfaoooo
Ceramic is much harder to scratch than glass so all the lint and dust particles will have no impact on it
Not sure whether I'll do that but this is definitely very useful and interesting to know.
just got some a couple weeks ago, really enjoy them. i play a really slow sens, and they seem to be perfect for me
I've used these for around 6 months and after the first 3-4 months the skates got very sticky and lost their 'super' glide. A little bit of soapy water on them made them slide nice and smooth again, but they're not as insane as when I first put them on. They used to be overkill now they're just fine. I still find the plastic skates to be the best option however, as they didn't gunk up in the same way quite as easily.
I dont play Apex, therefore I have no clue about bullet speeds and such...but holy damn shit.
That shot at 8:01 was actually impressive!
Thanks for such detailed tutorial, it explained everything about glass mouse skates~
There's a reason why very few pros use glass skates. They do look cool but in reality it's just a marketing gimmick.
for very low dpi setting, the superglides, do reduce the amount of fatigue when aiming with full arm movements
thank you for this ive been really considering these and you helped me decide on em more confidently. Also we need another setup tour B)
You know what they need, little tiny fans on the bottom of the mouse that blows air making it basically hover above the mousepad by like .00002mm
Something crazy about tech reviewers like Dave 2D and Optimum tech being good at video games
i just gotem today. they are very fast and buttery smooth, micro-adjustments are so easy with them, but i need to get used to them.
It was a costly little experiment.
your desk is probably uneven. it’s a pretty common issue. everyone says once they get these glides they realise their desk is actually not level which moves the mouse even when they don’t touch it.
just bought them, and I have this same issue. I thought I damaged my mouse, but it's weird what they are doing to the mouse.
That intro was really clean
I do not use these superglides for gaming. I use it for graphic arts and other tasks where i need very little or no resistance so i can move a mouse pointer millimeters at a time to do detail work with computer graphcs and animation work. That is where these skates shine!
I have these glides as well. If your desk has any sort of lean, and you just set the mouse down, it will slide to the side
I love Superglides on the GPX, feels so smooth on a Hien.
been trying to get some for my g303 shroud ever since I saw boardzy's review. Really enjoy seeing yours as well.
I would like skates that don't wear out eventually. I have had my Logitech G302 for 7 years and I have replaced the skates twice. Thankfully the G303 has the same pattern, and Logi still sells replacements for like $4 on their website. I would think that glass doesn't wear out like the material the feet are made from now.
the cut at 5:55 OOahhh
your video production quality is insane. how can you manage making not a single video with anything to criticize about. there is no argument against the fact that you are the best tech youtuber in existence.
Definitely not for everyone but for those who choose to main them i can assure you it will unliock new limits
very intersting to see the amount of attention mouse skates have gotten since the early 2010s
G303 SE not your main anymore? I hear the different weight and feet size make the glass feel different.
That hairdryer test was stupid. You put the hairdryer right up the the mouse with the glass pads but held it far away for the original.
Yeah dude, that hair dryer bit is what sold me!
S/o the Dyson Supersonic. Hands down the best hair dryer I've ever used!
even bro's hairdryer is aesthetically pleasing
It's like a pair of new shoes! Ya gotta break 'em down a bit first!
I cracked up when I saw the hairdryer! But it was a fantastic way to get your point across! XD
horrible experience if you have sweaty palms.
Never judge anything before you try it by yourself guys
"no friction or traction what so ever" I want 10.
I thought they were a total meme like most people. 💀💀💀💀💀 bro just roasted everyone
Need a DUNE Stillsuit but maybe just a Stillsuit Glove w/ Glass pads on touch points of the glove, which would keep the mouse pad clean and free of oils/sweat for optimal consistency.
That intro just gave me chills holy cow
7:59 noo waay, no way man. Wtf that was so precise...!
