In this video essay, we follow the trajectory from Disney's decisions to the ramifications at retail. (All-New Footage) #marvel #disney #starwars #toys
We asked them not to put identity politics into our most beloved franchises. They decided they were smarter than us and we needed those lessons. Back then, I used to spend thousands of dollars a year on things like Star Wars, Marvel and Star Trek. Now, I don't spend a dime as they have forever lost me as a customer. Let them go broke. Let them fall. I don't care anymore.
I think the last straw was fighting against parental rights in FL. That cemented Disney’s disdain for their target audience, and their loyalty to the woke religion.
I think I speak for everyone when I say that I miss loving Disney. I miss loving Star Wars. I was never a Marvel fan, but the sentiment is the same. Now it is like meeting up with an old friend you shared great times with, but for years he has been on hard drugs and roughing it on the streets.
Black Panther lived and died with Chadwick. Though it may be sad I still find comfort in the fact that he left us with the image of a strong, powerful, and honourable king that Disney's groomers can't ever tarnish
The biggest problem with Disney is their corporatism, coupled with a takeover of their creative output by too much diversity, equity and inclusion committees. So you have a soulless cynicism and lack of creativity coupled with preaching, accusatory politics. There's just no room left for actual joy and creation at Disney.
The fact people can buy up Transformers toys decades after the original source materials have come and gone but STILL be hyped for more shows just how well loved these characters are! Victory's Star Saber and Deathsaurus, Armada's Optimus Prime, Animated's Prowl...Even the Bayverse movies like DotM Jet Optimus. You can't get that with modern Disney.
The problem with Disney and other companies in the “entertainment” industry is they are going let’s make a (insert race, gender, sexuality) character and then figure out how they revolve around being (insert race, gender, sexuality) rather then making well written characters who just happen to be (insert race, gender, sexuality)
The ultimate problem is that even though you can force companies to adopt your dogma, at the end of the day, you can’t force people to associate with it.
I don't think there is even a way to measure just how much damage they have done. They lost trust and customer good will. Life long Disney fans are turning their backs. I hope they go bankrupt for what they did to Star Wars.
I have spent so much money on Star Wars toys, games, books, and other merchandise. I haven’t spent a dime since the Last Jedi. I’m 47. I’ve been collecting Star Wars stuff for over 35 years. They’ll never get another dime from me.

With great Wokeness comes great Brokeness!
Disney pretty much committed the cardinal sin of business, they went to war with their target audience.
I miss the mid 2000s and early 2010s. Much better times for Disney fans Marvel and movie in general
If Lightyear toys gathering dust on the shelves doesn’t ram the message home to Disney, nothing will…

DreamWorks getting many fans because of Disney failure
Walt Disney and Stan Lee are rolling in their graves while Disney and Marvel are dying.

"The more you tighten your grip, the more star systems will slip through your fingers."
The biggest thing Disney lost - The trust of their audience.

Disney has put an amazing amount of time and effort into destroying everything we’d be willing to pay for

They were warned about this for years and they did nothing.
