@@quartzthedorito from my experience playing consoles, the only one that I’ve ever experienced drift on is the switch. The switch just is more common to drifting. It’s clear that the situation is far deeper than that.

All sticks drift, but the Switch is the worst. My launch PS4 controller only started drifting today. My Switch Joycon drift within a month or two of use.

@@THEMADZGaming The joy cons started drifting almost immediately so you have to buy a pro controller in order to use the damn thing. So if you already have a pro controller you'll be fine for a long time. If the pro does start drifting just buy one of those pressurized cans of air used for dusting and shoot the insides crevices of the joy cons on the pro.

@@Elchinodawn Google the Sompo tower in Japan. Look familiar 😆.. at least Xbox maintains a consistent methodology to their hardware and overall product design, Xbox knows their market. In Japan "the smaller, the faster, the better", someone must have crossed cultural wires in public relations department trying to decide who/where in the world they would market this to. PS5's be sellin like hotcakes though so what do I know. I won't be buying THAT PS5 because my chinchilla enjoys the warmth of resting atop my Series X and I'd be afraid that the size and weight of the PS5 console would crush my newborn.

Display is unlikely to ever change and is realistically not necessary and costs too much, 4k output not needed and Most fans and gamers would be content with 1080 60, 720 60, a battery bump, and a fixed joycon beyond that switch is fine as a handheld and home console

More flash storage would be appreciated. 32 G. B. is not enough to start out with and you might want to have the texture fit in, for games you all ready own. New game should come with a cartridge size is listed and if the game/games is so you can pay for all the game/games on one cartridge. Crash Bandicoot Insane Trilogy, and Spiro Reignited Trilogy, come with only the first game of each Trilogy on the cartridge. Collectors would pay more to have all of the games of each Trilogy on a cartridge with no day one downloads to play the complete games.

@@franciscofco The graphics for old cartridges may need space for there assets, ( polygon models, textures and, etc ... ). You would want your games on cartridge, so when the E-Shop goes down for your console you can play the games you perched. FF-X/FF-X2 you need to download FF-X2 to play a game that has a download, code for it.
You need storage for update graphics for the switch XL 4K mode, game saves, Nintendo Switch Online Service, Indy Games for download, and game saves. All the game on a cartridge is there so, you can keep you games when the switch E-shop is closed down. Like the Wii E-Shop is closed and, Nintendo is preparing to Close the 3DS E-Shop, and Wii U E-Shop.
All I want is for them to take those dang $10 sticks that cause the drift out of the joycons 😩

I just ordered my switch, it shows up Monday. Even if there was a second one. I can’t say I’d feel the need to Upgrade. I am only using it for Mario games and donkey Kong for the most part. If I wanted awesome graphics I’ll use my pc or my ps4 pro.

Your joke aside, it'll actually look better. OLED has better contrast meaning it will be able to display more detail and dynamic range within the darker parts of a game.

Nothing about a new version of the Nintendo Switch was mentioned or showed. But given Nintendo’s track record on being intentionally vague, they might still be working on a Switch Pro.

Another reason the Vita was actually better and way ahead of its time. Just like the Turbo Express was back in 1990.
Exactly, the first model Vita had an OLED screen which was really nice and features the Switch still hasn't caught up with.
The Vita had a browser, changeable backgrounds and wallpaper, the ability to group your games in its own little folder, and (1st model) full 3g cellular online. It was WAY ahead of the curve.
I have a love/hate relationship with my Switch, on one hand it is the only console you literally can pick up and play, not like the XBOX or PS series where you have to wait till it starts up, hope there isn't an update for the game you want to play, and all games are locked to the HD. But I despise Nintendo for its cash grab limited time games even for digital, still no browser 4 years in, oh and of course no custom wallpaper or separate game groups. Sorry but I'm not about to get enthusiastic for the Switch 2 unless it finally fixes all these problems. Who cares about performance if you are still getting loads of shovelware in the eshop, no virtual console and first party games fed to you at the speed of lint.

I be nice if you could also use the old dock. That way if you are not worried about 4k and wanted to save some money. You have the option to buy just the switch, use your correct dock and get a new 4k dock later.

If they really want a significant upgrade. We want decent 3D with holograms off the screen and a real AI. If not. Not spending another 400.00 until real upgrades.
How about Bluetooth? A wired connection to share WiFi with your Phone? Being able to download games on your phone then transferring it to the switch via SD card?
Also removing the push down on the sticks would wear them down less.

I would love to see what a new switch can do. Right now I'm playing Xenoblade Chronicles 2 , in some cut scene it pushes the console so hard the frame rate and text can't keep up with each other.

no worries, nintendo know their sales have skyrocketed this past year, so they’ll definitely make future releases compatible with their old versions. at most, you’ll maybe miss a few third party titles that can’t run on the current version of the switch!

I like the idea you said of the end of having the new switch be mobile only out of the box and sell a dock separately for those who want to play on the TV. I think this is the most consumer-friendly way to do it.

I like the Nintendo switch OLED but tbh I prefer the steam deck as it has EVE ONLINE and way more storage (1 terror byte max) and is far cheaper ( steam deck: 288 pounds switch OLED: 309 pounds.) so if I were to choose I'd say the steam deck it can have 64GB or 512 GB version.

I would’nt upgrade for new features/quality for handheld mode though I prefer my Switch lite for that. But for big differences in docked mode i would consider it. But even better would be if its possible to just buy a new better dock that converts to higher resolution.

It's not gonna be 1080p display in hand-held.
It'll be 720P cos it's cost effective, plus it won't be as draining on the battery.with the OLED.
Funny that some gamers complain about oled burn in on tv but your switch will be oled. Oled is a oled and it won’t burn in. CX proves that.
