She's been gone over 30 years, but I still miss her every single day. You bring back memories of me being a little girl standing next to her in the kitchen learning how to cook. Thank you! Hi. R.I.P. sweet lady. Condolences to her family on her passing. To have these videos to share her cooking wisdom is priceless for your family n viewers. Thank you. She is free of pain, sharing eternity with Mr Bucky. Peace to you and yours.
Oh yes! I rinse my 12 teabags (after a rolling boil) 3 times into my pitcher...squezing them with each into the pitcher where I have dissolved 1 and 1/2 c.of sugar to the first initial pot of the boiled tea...add more water and stuff to make the gallon.A friend told me a few years ago a secret they use (at a well known Christian chicken restaurant chain she worked at) to get rid of the foam you may get on to of the gallon of tea when you're done..add 1 tsp of baking soda to the gallon and stir. This has been a traditional family method for my TN, GA and SC family for as long as I can remember and I'm 60.We like a stout tea that you can taste the flavor in Especially when it's Summer and need lots of ice in it! I can get waterlogged so fast on it then, and SO fantastic freshly made! It will get a bit cloudy and sweeter if refrigerated.Start with as much or no sugar to your liking and stir well before starting and adding more little by little until it is perfect to taste!
My grandmother used crushed pineapple, cream cheese and chopped pecans. She served it as a side dish whenever we had family gatherings but especially at Christmas. My grandmother is no longer with us but It’s still one of my son’s favorites and I make it especially for him. Brings back such wonderful memories.

I use to make all kinds of jello molds at a high end senior living. A great tip if you forget to take cream cheese and is not at room temp, you may cube up and add to hot water mixture…stir until dissolved. After add your cold water mixture. Also, if adding any fresh fruit, cottage cheese or whipped cream, decrease cold water by 1/8-1/4 c. I was taught that any wet ingredient added to jello you use less water as your adding more moisture to jello. Just wanted to share. There’s one jello mold that I always had fun making was a sunset jello. It’s made in layers.

I just discovered this channel yesterday and today I made this dessert. It turned out fantastic! RIP Phyllis your pain and suffering have ended but you live on through your spirit and these precious memories. 🙏🏽
I love this type of dessert. Brings back fond memories of family get togethers. Does anyone remember "poke cakes'? You would start with a yellow sheet cake and poke holes all over with a pencil then pour chocolate pudding on top. It would seep into the holes and create a moist delicious cake. There was another variation that used Jell-O in place of the pudding.
Manch Vegas oooh! That sounds absolutely delicious!! Me and my grandma make a Puerto Rican desert called 'tres leche cake' or three milk cake! It's pretty much the same thing, yellow sheet cake but we use condensed, sweet and one other milk I can't remember, then we make our own whipped cream and frost it, it's absolutely delectable!!

He certainly does!! 😊
I miss her and continue to watch her son's videos.
Those were great. I used a wooden spoon to poke the holes for pudding. Used a big fork to poke holes for the Jello. Then frosted with Cool Whip. Yummy
My mom used to make this with chocolate mint cake (back when they had it!)...it was heavenly!
I miss this woman. God rest her soul.
I am sorry but happened to her? I just love her.
I love that she lives on in her YT videos.
Please tell me how she and Mr. Bucky passed and when. With her videos she helped me survive a very difficult time in my life. She was such a delight to watch.
Me too
Amen
I am 74 and love seeing you making those old time recipes or any recipes of yours! I lost many of mine and get exited when some actually still knows how to make them! thanks!😊
I am thankful to have had Phyllis in my life. I have learned a lot about cooking from her. She will be missed very much.
