THANK YOU!! My mom used to make this when I was little, just over 50 years or so ago. I couldn't remember the process for the life of me, just jello and evaporated milk. Now I can recreate it!! So excited!

My nan used to make this for us back in the 1960's, we loved it just set on its own in a dish.

Wow this looks so elegant! Perfect for a pink baby girl reveal shower or a blueberry jello version for boy reveal shower! :o If you use pistachio jello, you can put tiny mint leaves on the glass dessert cups. SO beautiful. Thank you for doing this beautiful mousse recipe, so easy, so creamy!

In the 70's we used to layer it with tennis biscuits. Place layers of biscuits between the mouse. The best!👌

Seems similar to one recipe that uses cream cheese instead of evaporated milk. I will give this a try. Looks yummy!

I recommend actually getting the short bread crusts. They don’t absorb as much water so they don’t get soggy as quickly. My mom makes another version of Jell-O pie with different ingredients and we make them frequently so we found the short bread is much better.

You don't even need the milk. Gelatin will whip on it's own. It won't be as ritch, but still fluffy.

If you want less sugar or color ink use clear jello and fresh or canned fruit with the juices like pineapple.

    • @VeryCherryCakes

i think it could, personally i would bake my cake and then pour this on the top (of an already baked cake while its in the pan) of the cake and then frost it :)
