hello mat, not a gray day, it overshadows the beauty of that bike..., no matter the day, weather or landscape....it shines and stands out above all things...another great video, thanks for all the good ones walks, images and music that you give us... a big hug for you and your community, remember that I use a translator, the message may not be well understood.
Another great video 😍 Having driven through the Yorkshire Dales I can appreciate the immense beauty of the landscape. The Ribblehead Viaduct is spectacular. Your seat looks comfy! My stock T120 seat is so hard 😖
Yeah the stock seat isn’t great, if you can get him to make you one, Tom Hurley’s seats are craftsmanship at its best, mine has memory foam and medical gel in so it’s good for all day riding. He’s quite a busy chap though so waiting times can be a little long, totally worth the wait though.
Nice one Matt loving the drone footage and the new old style number plate! Very calming to watch and just makes me want to pack a bag and go ride! 👍🏻😃 cheers Dan
Cycled and camped around the Dales on my Brompton in 2023, on that trip I decided to move on to a motorcycle after being passed by so many! After 9 years in the UK I recently moved to Portugal and got myself a Duke 125 to start. Hopefully one day, I'll go back to the Dales for a moto trip! Some of those hills were a killer on a Brompton carrying way too much stuff!
One more excellent video!Thank you for making us travel with you on beautiful landscapes.Just a question for the bike.....I recently had a test drive with the t120 and after 120km it was almost impossible to ride because of the air pressure.....how do you deal with it during your rides? PS: the bike was as it is sold ,without any accesories on it...
For me the bike is ok to ride up to about 85mph before the wind is a problem, but you get used to it quickly. If you want to ride at that sort of speed all the time though then maybe a bike with a fairing would be better.
Hi Allen, they’re my own brand, you can find more info on the bag at www.classic-rides.co.uk, just select ‘luggage’ from the shop menu and you’ll find more info and pictures🙂
@@allengreen6885 Hi Allen, I’ve seen some folk mount the panniers without rails so they aren’t 100% necessary, however I would recommend them as they’re there really to prevent the bags from swinging into your wheel/chain, the rails are more of a safety thing than them being necessary in order to mount the bags.
@@ClassicRides great I did just look on the web site As I'm still unsure about my luggage choice the rucksack could be a good idea Thanks again Matt for the new film
What a brilliant video on some of our favourite roads. How’s the triumph holding up finish wise as you seem to be out over winter and it still looks immaculate.
Thanks Neil. She’s not a garage queen so she’s not quite so immaculate up close 😁. Overall though I haven’t noticed any bad rust forming on any of the original Triumph parts, some of the aftermarket parts have degraded very badly so that’s disappointing, but can’t blame Triumph for that.
What prompted the change back to the reflective number plate? I have black plates on my interceptor and benelli imperale and they do suit the bikes. ( not legal I know....but.......)
Just the time of year, I know the police actively target things like illegal plates at the start of riding 'season' so it's not worth risking a whole day's shoot for the sake of a black and white plate. Though I'll probably put the black and white back on in a month or so, hate the yellow!
Great work Matt …Another Classic ‘Pro’ video … Love the Helmet Cam footage riding up-to RHV showing the Twin Dials ... Just a question if I may what rucksack were you carrying & any particular reason you used a rucksack in preference to your usual panniers 🤔
Thanks Paul. I'm just testing out the backpack before I put it for sale in my shop, I usually try to use everything I sell myself to make sure I'm not selling anything that's rubbish 😁. The idea is I want to be able to offer a full set of options for luggage on a motorcycle and I think a rucksack ticks a few boxes that panniers don't. Having said that, personally I think would always prefer panniers as they're a bit easier on your back!
Did plod challenge you on the silver and black plate?! Problem is that they don’t know what classic understated good taste is, with their penchant for garish hi viz and bright greens and yellows…
I changed it to the horrible yellow plate more as a preventative measure for Spring, I'll more than likely put the black and silver plate back on in summer when it's a bit less risky 😁
Hi Mat, I'd be interested to know how much time it takes for you to put your excellent videos together, including principle photography and post production. Are you purely a solo operation or are you accompanied by someone else driving the camera/drone?
Hi Simon, basically each video is from one day riding, then it takes me about a day to edit the video together. I’m still learning videography so I’m sure that someone who actually knew what they’re doing could do it quicker. Personally I like to make the videos on my own, it’s a lot of stopping and starting and I don’t think most people would enjoy that on their ride.
@@ClassicRides Hi Mat, thanks for the detailed response. I had guessed as much. I suspect many viewers don't appreciate just how much time is needed to set up and then execute each shot - specifically the fixed camera and drone shots. Sometimes "quicker" doesn't necessarily mean better or more pleasurable; the act of creating something should be seen as an end in itself, something from which satisfaction and pleasure can be derived. Fortunately for us, your finished creation also generates pleasure!
Morning Matt love the vids ,what your shop/web site so I can have a look also what pants are you wearing they look like mole skin.ride safe keep safe Pete.
Glad you like the videos Pete. The website/shop is www.classic-rides.co.uk, there's also other bits of info on there so it's not just an excuse to sell things! The trousers I have on in this vid are Rokker Riding Chinos, they're like a very thick cotton, almost canvas material, not mole skin though. They're not particularly cheap either, but apparently they perform quite well in safety terms, you can find them at @UrbanRiderlondon

How'd you get two visors on one helmet? - does the helmet comes with those?
Hi Uday, it’s a separate visor system called the Arai Sun Shade Visor.
