Pistol Caliber Carbines always remind me of when I realized I was sexually attracted to girls. I went from running away from them thinking they all had cooties to give me all of the girl cooties I can handle.
That’s a passively inappropriate way of saying, I'm never into pistol-caliber carbines until I shoot them.
The Springfield Saint Victor is no exception.
Initially hesitant, I quickly became enamored with this rifle's performance. The clean and sleek design, featuring a rail-free handguard and a stylish forward blast muzzle device, adds to its visual appeal.
While the skinny Colt Pattern 9mm magazine may seem unusual, the sheer enjoyment of shooting outweighs any reservations.
The flat-faced nickel boron-coated trigger not only creates a striking contrast against the rifle's black exterior but also offers a satisfying shooting experience with its smooth break and predictable reset.
The recoil impulse of the Saint Victor PCC surprised me, providing a manageable yet slightly different feel due to the forward blast diverter and 9mm blowback design. It allows for rapid, accurate shooting, keeping the sights on target in a controlled circular pattern.
With its balanced and slim profile, the Saint Victor handles like a dream, offering enhanced maneuverability compared to standard AR-15s. Equipped with the B5 Systems Bravo Stock and Type 23 P-Grip, it brings a fresh feel to the rifle, setting it apart from the ubiquitous Magpul furniture.
If you're a devoted PCC enthusiast or seeking a firearm with reduced recoil, the Springfield Saint Victor should be at the top of your list to try.

This guy is so valuable to the 2A community it’s crazy. Keep up the fight brothers and sisters.
Well he works for the NRA, gun sales are his priority, that is his job.
I’ve always said he is one of the best voices for the 2A!
Does he still work for the nra I don't think he has had that channel for a few years
I don't see him handing out rifles and starting a rebellion... what exactly has he done for the Second Amendment?
Dudes got a nack for destroying gun control arguments and remembering facts while keeping a cool head and confidently calling out the bombardment of emotional lies that come from the people who see the ar15 as the only thing standing in their way-from what exactly i don't want to find out. If you see a gap in the line fill it and if you find someone that is better at filling that gap build them up and drop their name often.
Having one caliber for all your shooting needs makes buying and affording your hobby so much easier.
Too late, I learn this. (From someone with guns in 16 different calibers). 😐 😃 🤣
So true, I stick to 9mm
Yep, 9mm is it for me.
I would least say, own a shotty, .22, and a 556/223 rifle
@@kllaskullz yeah I feel like having a 12 gauge, 9mm, .22, and 30-06, would be a nice rounded stable of guns. The 12 gauge would be triple duty serving as home defense, hunting, and target shooting. The .22 and 9 mm serves as great range guns for its cheap ammo and low recoil. The 30-06 would be the big gun for hunting game if that’s your thing.
I really do like the new PCC trend. They're so much fun to shoot.
More affordable too for regular guys that don't make. Multiple 6 to 7 figure income
A $1200 PCC is affordable? Lol. If that’s the case, caviar is a working man’s snack
Always remember that he's a lawyer. His money thermometer is higher than ours.
Just a smudge. I've seen others for around half that price without the SA stigma

I've seen the PTR and Zenith MP5 clones being called "affordable" before. It's a pretty big trend for views on the gun tube.
You gotta buy the caviar that comes in the bag that say M & Ms on it.

I own a Sig MPX 9mm PCC with a Romeo5....I use it in both USPSA and Steel Challenge competition....I use the Federal Syntech 130gr 9mm ammunition which was made for PCCs. I added the Springer Precision personalized custom base plates that boosted my magazine capacity to 45 rounds.
The beauty of having a PCC 9mm is that they only kick a little less that a 223. The other beauty is 9mm ammo is less expensive. So while you’re practicing/training on the 9mm, you’re pretty much practicing/training for your 223.
Now here’s the real beautiful part. If you own a St Victor PCC and the St Victor AR 5.6 (223), they’re both practically the same weight and dimensions. Double bonus for training/ practicing.
I got the CZ Scorpion evo 3 carbine for a little less money than the Saint Victor. It came with similar flip-up sights. Good optics aren't cheap. 9mm is much cheaper than 5.56, so that's one good reason to have a PCC.
Dude I love this new style, super peaceful and straight forward while still maintaining your personal integrity and honesty. Big ups bro, hope you have a good one.
Your video really highlights its visual appeal, sleek design, and unique features like the rail-free handguard and forward blast muzzle device. I’m excited to try this out
Ya know, I absolutely love the little Hi Point 995. Yes, I know, Hi Point. I said the same thing. But the little 995 is just an absolute blast to run! And accurate, too, even with it's ghost ring sights. And the 995 is $200 out the door ...
Their carbines are usually pretty good, it's their pistols that tend to be crap. The biggest hurdle is their magazines, those are where you'll have the most problems. But, if you send the bad magazine into HP, they'll send you a new one, and sometimes an extra one, at no extra charge.
@@bscar Good to know! I haven't had any problems with mine, but if I do, I'll know what to do know!
@@icaleinns6233 hi point has great service and great warnty center I had dropped a c9 pistol and broke the rear sight called to buy new one the sent me one for free.
There carbine rifles are TANKS!!! They just shoot no matter what crappy ammo you run though them ...
@@buddywilliamson3098 Absolutely! I had a bunch of reloads that I have no idea where they came from. They were blowing casings and jamming every single one of my 9mm pistols. Loaded 'em into the Hi Point and it happily chewed through every single one of them, ruptured casings and all! No misfires, no jams. And, more importantly, no risk of injury to the operator!
I bought the new S&W M&P FPC and Man is it FUN!! $659.00 comes with two 23rd and 1 17rd mag. The 23rd mags store in the stock. It all comes with a Bag to carry it In. A lot of Fun for the Price and with your Clothes On!!
Anything similar around this price range u recommend?
@@E21091you can always spend less and build your own AR-9 upper and just run a magazine conversion for Colt magazines on a standard AR-15 if you already have an AR-15. Also, CMMG and Mean Arms make Magpul PMAG 9mm conversions Mean calls them the Endomag(plus they make a 9mm specific called the Exomag they're just recently fulfilling and shipping orders for(with and without an ejector) otherwise, although the magazine capacity is only 10 rounds with the factory magazines(and it's definitely best to stick with those) a Hi-Point 995 9mm carbine is a slick running little unit that is cheap and will easily shoot out the X ring at 50 yards all day with just a red dot sight. I had an earlier Hi-Point 9mm carbine and I kick myself for selling it cause it was a perfectly functioning weapon.
@@E21091 I can't think of anything in the same price range. Kel-tec has a 9mm that breaks in half, but it folds in half and you have to remove any scope or red dot and it doesn't come with a case or extra mags.I hope this helps you
@edblasingame8139 I'm now debating the extar ep9 or FPC. Some say I'm better off getting AR
@@E21091 I bought the FPC because it was different. After I took it to the range, it's a nice play toy. I was hitting targets at 65yrd.and around 100-150yrds. They say that you can use it for home defense, as it's good for close range. I also put a Suppressor on it. Why not have both?? AR AND A FPC. You can also get a AR that folds in half.
I also have appreciated the esthetics of the Springfield St. Victor line. You described the PCC most eloquently. I used to carry and train with a Colt SMG. Because of logistical problems with parts and magazines toward the end of the run, they did not function very reliably. To their credit, they’d been shot a lot. Always looking for something new, I embraced a new AR pattern 5.56 and forgot about the SMG. A few years back, I got to fire one again - one that worked. I’d forgotten how pleasant the SMG really handled. For one who had already amassed a fair amount of experience with M16s, the SMG was simply easy to transition. I haven’t fired a 16 inch barreled version, but can see how they’d be great shooters.
CMMG Banshee 9mm was my first PCC awakening. Recently coverted it to rifle length until the current nonsense is settled. It's still a great shooter.
Don’t you give me reasons to spend money I shouldn’t
Too late lol.

I just bought mine and I absolutely love the looks and the feel in hand and after watching your reviews I have come to trust your opinion and I love this thing. Thank you
I am glad to see more PCC content like this and the Saint Victor looks like a stout member of this category. My intro was the Beretta CX4 and it was love at first shot.
I love my kel-tec sub 2000, it's amazing the grouping at 100yrds. Personally I prefer it for home defense over my .556.
Great video. For those who might be considering this very PCC. The Springfield Saint Victor 9mm PCC carbine/rifle is heavy. Not just heavier than many of the competition offer but, front heavy in particular. The gun feels well made, high quality, shoots pleasantly and reliably by my personal experience. The reference to it being heavy is not that it is wearing, tiring for most to shoot in a few hours range session. It will however, be wearing, heavy feeling (particularly because of the balance, with the front being heavy) for kids, young teens, even wemon who do not have a lot of upper body strength. With the weight and the unbalanced front heavy feeling, this is also not a PCC rifle/carbine you would ideally select for shooting in competition. The weight and balance slows down transition times.
Well. that's why competition PCCs are either JP-5 or the Wilson Combat AR9, tricked out the way you want it. LOL
@randy74989 absolutely. I assume you have a JP5 and shoot competition? I do not shoot competition but, I have permanent neck, back, spine issues. In shopping for a PCC I looked at many including the Springfield and JP5. I ultimately ended up buying the Noveske Gen 4. It is not geared for competition but, significantly better built (a PCC I could pass to grandkids) and way better weight balance. The JP5 is extremely nice and definitely one of the top choices for competition. As for the Springfield, PCCs such as the Palmetto State Armory ARV even, has a way better weight balance. The Springfield is oddly front heavy was my point, still holds that it is a front heavy 16" barreled 9mm PCC.
I like 9mm PCCs. I have the Ruger 19122 that has everything in purchase kit to switch it to Glock mags, it's super accurate and easy to shoot. In some ways I think it's a better home defense than my AKs of either caliber or the 5.56 because both the AK and the AR will pretty much hit about anything besides reinforced steel and just keep going through the bad guy, through the interior walls, through the external wall, across the street and into the neighbor's house. Maybe I'm exaggerating, I'm not a ballistics expert, but we took my wife's old dryer up to see which one of the 3 calibers would do the best and 5.45, 7.62 and 5.56 all went through the piece of crap way too new to break down LG without even being slightly annoyed. 9mm hollow point out of a 16" barrel with little to no recoil seems like a great option for home defense.
I learn a lot from your videos I appreciate the work you put into it teaching us. 🤙🤙😎
I think it would be a treat to see this Springfield PCC go up against the Ruger PC Carbine side by side.
I know the Ruger PC Carbine isn’t a AR design but with it more classic standard version or it’s tactical version, it would be interesting to see.
Now in all intents and purposes if Springfield makes this in a Pistol version that would probably be the better option compared to the full size 16in version.
Love Springfield. Almost everything I own Springfield. May have to add this one to my collection
It is a lot of fun to shoot. Easy to go thru mags. I have the Sig MPX PCC. Love it. Have actually considered using it as a home defense rifle.
I'd go with something in .556 for home defense, body armor is becoming more common for criminals so it's probably better to have a round that can defeat it.
@@elmateo77 Thanks. I’m already running a few .556 for home defense.
Chances are slim to none that a POS everyday Home Intruder would be wearing body armor. I wouldn’t worry too much about it.
@@stevetsataros6511 You can buy a IIIa armored jacket online for under $500. Quite a few of the recent mass shooters have worn body armor. The chances are better than 50/50 that a home intruder won't be wearing body armor, but it's still a possibility. Plus there's no real downside to choosing a weapon that can defeat body armor vs one that can't, the price is pretty similar as are the available designs and the recoil.
Why not
Shall not be infringed! Learn it, know it, live it, I love it! I'm getting a Saint Victor 9mm next week!
colion gun reviews are always the best LOL right off the bat
Low flash, bang and recoil!!! Perfect for the confines of a house especially without eyes and ears!!!
7” FM9 for $650 for the win. Love it. Built in Tri-lug connect. YHM R9 suppressor. Runs amazing.
Really nice video man!! I hadn't really considered a 9mm carbine seriously until I saw this. Thanks my friend. FJB
If you hadn't considered one before, you might want to start with one that is a LOT more affordable, like the Hi Point 995. Yeah, I know, it's a Hi Point. But it's only $200 and will let you get a great idea of what to expect with a 9mm PCC. Basically TONS of fun! And the 995 is accurate and durable. Best $200 I ever spent for sheer fun factor.
@icaleinns6233 Thanks for the info 👍 Really appreciate it!!
It’s great to have one that takes Glock mags if you carry a Glock daily.
@@_Delta_P_ yeah, that is one issue with the 995. It doesn't even accept Hi Point pistol mags.
I bought two of these. They’re very good…I bought 1 for my wife and one is for my son. They are super easy to shoot and very accurate.
Get them something that'll punch through Federal Steel... 😉
"like a bodybuilder who likes to skip leg...." OMG I literally fell outa my chair on that one...U had me! Thank u so much for that much needed laugh.
Colion, your videos have been fire 🔥 lately
😂 U got me with the body builder skipping leg day..😂 I was dead!
“I get burned out on magpul furniture” I guess that’s the difference between a collector and a protector. 😂
I started with a Ruger PCC since it has a cold hammer forged barrel and a good trigger. I didn't even have ammo for it before I swapped every other part on it. My true cost is closer to the Saint Victor. I ended up with soft shooting PC that looks more like an M14EBR than an AR9. Its heavy but performance and cosmetically I got exactly what I wanted. I didn't care about takedown or folding rifles till I bought a smaller cheaper bag to carry it.
how's that Ruger been doing for you? I just need that one take down or folding PCC to put in my backpack and be I'll be good! its gonna be Ruger or that Maybe that new Smith & Wesson FPC
@@urbandadtv I love the Ruger and I looked really hard at the FPC. I think you are better off with the FPC for a defensive firearm. The chance of fumbling the takedown feature can be eliminated completely with the FPC and there's no doubt it's quicker to go into battery. When carrying the Ruger taken down you have to secure both parts individually in order to consistently pull them and assemble the rifle. The FPC just whips out. My Ruger is a range and home gun so it stays assembled 99% of the time.
Also the FPC looks cool already.
Love my Ruger! Put a Sig Romeo on and have fun! Great little carbine.
That's really cool you did a review on this rifle when you did, because I was at the store checking this one out about a week ago.
Thanks for all the videos and your dedication to exposing all the anti - gun b.s.

I’m a major fan of the PCC’s. They keep me from reloading another cartridge, simplifying ammo storage.

Nice looking kit. Thanks for the review.
I love my SAR USA 109T 9mm one of my funest firearms to shoot.
I have the SAR9 handgun, love that thing. Wanted the AR but $1100 is up in price for me.
@@normalking83 the 109t is well worth it trust me.
Not only are Colt SMG mags easier to load, and very reliable, they are legal to own in jurisdictions which have outlawed high cap pistol mags. Hawaii for example.
I just got one. Pros; it easy to operate, AR 15 controls, and very accurate, came with flip sights, and mine also has the blast deflector. CON: uses AR 9 patterned mags which are hard to load and find and only came with one. The rear stock is a little wide for my fit. The trigger isn't terrible but it is a little sloppy. However the worst feature is the blowback. I suggest wearing eye protection when firing. You can see some of the the blow back @ about 02:46 in the video.
I was so against the idea of a pcc until I first held my Scorpion, now I'm a fanboy for life.
Love the Leupold LCO, Clarice!!!
I need to put this in my list of rifles. Thanks for sharing this.

Colion,
That's a nice rifle, but at the prices I see online (~$1,500) the price is not what I'd call affordable. To each his own, I guess.
I am with you on having a PCC that you can also use the ammo for my handgun. I have a Beretta CX 4 9mm which takes the same 17 or 20 rd mags as my PX 4 Storm. Makes it very economical.
Thanks for doing these always informative videos- you are great.

I think as time goes on the SW FPC will gain popularity and will go down as one of the best 9mm FPC on the market.

A plus that no one talks abouit pertaining to Colt SMG mags.... When you run out of ammo, they can be used as a club. They're pure beef.
