When I picked up the Master Piece Arms Defender, I wasn’t expecting much. I figured it would be a hard-to-shoot, quirky gun that would give me some laughs.
I'm an AmmoSexual, so I love every gun to some degree.
    Boy, was I wrong.
Instead of being a personal inside joke of a gun, I walked away from shooting the Master Piece Arms Defender with the biggest smile on my face.
It’s such an easy gun to shoot, and it's enjoyable.
Never in a million years did I think that this gun would be so delightful to shoot, but it did, and now, after you watch this video, you'll know exactly why.

I have one of these, it is extremely “fun”. It would be the last weapon I grabbed from my safe to defend unless I had too. (I have plenty of other options to choose). I bought it for the nostalgia honestly. It is a huge conversation starter and when we visit outdoor ranges the guys always want to take it for a spin. It does scare the shit out of RSO’s though. They automatically assume it’s full auto and we came to spray some shit up.

Here's some info for someone thinking about getting this firearm.
The MPA30T will not feed JHP reliably, but you can use other types of defensive ammunition; I have used soft point ammo as well as the G9 Defense External Hollow Point ammo without any issues.
You can use the metal STEN gun magazines with a small modification to the magazine themselves. They're a lot more reliable and, in my personal opinion, they make the gun look much better. Also, you can change the grip to use Glock mags if that's what you prefer.
It is incredibly easy to bump-fire this firearm. Many people will say not to do this, but at some point or another, you won't be able to keep yourself from doing it.

Took nice cheap sten gun mags.
Spring and buffer replaced to get it up to 1400rpm.
      Actually near 100% reliable.
And it was decently accurate because, being class 3, you could put the wire stock on it.
Instead of one round per trigger pull, it was definitely one mag per trigger pull.

I have two of the MPA Defenders. I have the full sized and the 'Micro', both chambered in 9mm, and you are correct! They are fun to shoot. Not the most accurate unless you learn the 'fixed' sights and do a bit of 'tapping' them into zero. I like the counter balancers, because they eliminate a lot of rise when you fire a round downrange.
You should practice 'Bump firing' them and sending them into burst or full auto mode. It's really easy to do with the MPA Defender, and I enjoy doing it at least once while on the range.

It's more a Cobray MAC-11 (regret selling mine) than a MAC-10. MAC 10 has a shorter upper receiver back from the grip. Both are good in 9mm (10 also is in .45 & the 11 also is in .380). The MAC-11 in .380 looks more like a MAC-10.

The MAC 10 finally found it's niche as an electric airsoft SMG platform, still iconic and actually useable with 6mm plastic BB's. The MAC 11 airsoft variants actually have gas blow back of the open bolt that makes them really fun with co2 or propane propellant for the BB's. You can also still purchase a FA MAC 10 in .45 from a private seller but it takes a long time to get the licensing to legally own them and a good suppressor (Years of red tape tax stamps) ($10,000 package these days if not more) not to mention how expensive it is to actually run subsonic pistol ammo with the high rate of fire and finding a range that actually allows FA etc.

Had any trouble with yours? Most people say no but have low round count. I had two of the five seven versions. Both broken in under a thousand rounds. I cant remember exactly what it was, maybe a factory pressed bushing or front trunnion, whatever it was I remember that I didn't want to try and fix it. Both guns same failure. I never abused them or bumpfiring, nothing like that. First one I thought maybe a lemon so I traded it in and got another, after the same problem with the second I traded it for the 9. Its too bad because it was really accurate with a red dot. So easy to blow the bullseye out. I just couldn't recommend the 5.7 version after that dual identical failure. Haven't had any trouble with the 9 tho.

I first fell in love with the mac10 mac11 from 2 movies Chuck Norris/Invasion USA and Kurt Russel/ Escape from NY. I started playing airsoft and my 1st gas power gun was a kwa M11A1 a 1/1 scale mac11. gas blowback with 50 rd magazine, empty it on full auto in 3 secs. I could carry it 1 of 2 ways I found a thigh holster that was made for the Mac 11 and had 1 extra mag pouch, or I had a shoulder rig that had straps that looped around my belt for stability, 1 side had a pouch for 2 mags, the other side had a detachable clip that went to the gun and a snap strap that kept the gun in place. I also had for it a supressor and a quad rail to make it look like snake pliscans mac 11 in escape from NY, minus having the 3x9x40 scope on it. My Mac 11 was know as the intimidator, because of the way it sounded on full auto when I shot it. It's 1 airsoft gun I will always own. I would love to have this clone version or the real deal .
