What a great video, never tire of watching three really great entertainers thoroughly enjoying themselves as they put on a great show. Vicky and Lonnie so sadly missed.
Wonderful , Lonnie paved the way or inspired many UK greats, he was a supreme entertainer . Joe is a supreme entertainer, comfortable out front in any company. Vicki had a wonderful voice, such a sad loss to the world and especially Joe and the children . RIP those who are gone . 🙏
@Thefab5150 I never realised he was such an accomplished guitarist till I saw him back in the '70s at the old Circus Tavern in Purfleet. What a night, what a night it was.....😅
Hi Joe love this clip. Thankyou for sharing this . Im Wayne you signed my gretsch ar weston super mare the year before last . You said it played better than yours which was amazing for me joe . I suffered a huge blow recently where i was working . I had to have my left hand ring finger amputated at the top joint . So alot of pain at the moment . Ive followed you for many many years joe . Your a great inspiration to me . I played with many bands on the scene . Matchbox . The jets. Linda gail lewis etc . Its been a really hard time for me the last month . Wandering if i will play again . Thankyou joe for so many great great years . I will try my best to carry on hopefully. Niel introduced me to you all those years ago and he was a lovely guy and taken to soon my friend . Thankyou joe . Kindest regards Wayne
Absolutely classic. Three great underrated performers who never got the credit they deserved. But they enjoyed what they did and I hope that was reward enough. It was for us.
Oh Lord!! Joe and Lonnie are definitely not underrated, honestly. Joe has played with literally every major star, he has sold millions of records and was best buddies with George Harrison. He sold out a tour the length and breath of the country just before covid hit us. And Lonnie?? He was elevated to legendary status 70yrs ago. I guess younger generations will gradually erode the memories but that's the case with all artists except the very top 1%. Be great to see Joe tour again but his age has crept up in him 🙏🙏
I never had the good fortune to hear Lonnie in concert , I grew up in the 50s when he was a saturday night stalwart on TV, & moulded my taste in music to a great extent. As for Joe Brown what can you say a great all round entertainer & nice guy too!!!
I used to go and watch Joe play that old early 60s Sunburst Gibson ES-335 when I was barely a teenager, amazing memories, now he seems to leave all the lead Guitar playing to another member of the band, Joe was such a great Guitarist in his day.
My first ever show, in New Zealand about 1960. Those were the days when 2 twelve year old girls could go to a show in the city by themselves. We felt SO grown up. I wore a bra for the first time ( not really needed ) and the show was mind blowing. I think Nina and Frederick were Lonnie's support act. The kids at school got so sick of us talking about it !! I'm 76 now and still smile thinking about the big night out. What a legend Lonnie was, and still is. ❤
Joe Brown was a very talented performer but never got his due in America. I always wondered why. Many lesser bands associated with the "British invasion" made it big here. Those who knew him say he was not only a great performer but a great guy as well.
In 1966 I raced in The Manx Grand Prix. We had coffee in the Casino one day and next to our table was Lonnie Donagan with a lady friend! As a young man I was too shy to ask him for his autograph, now I wish I had taken the opportunity of saying how much I enjoyed his music. Never mind.... after the battle of Armageddon the dead will be resurrected (John 5: 38,39) I will tell him then, and no doubt he will have some new songs too!! Alan Peck 🐴😁
The only issue i have with this video is it appears the stars here are the band, as a guitarist i can see joe was not playing the guitar parts as they appear to be, loved the show and the song but it was karaoke joe on this one. I know joe is a good guitarist and multi instrumentalist, but this performance did not ring true to me at all. I think management had a large part in this.
Absolutely marvellous ❤❤❤❤❤❤love all three, can’t choose between lonnie or Joe they both have cheeky happy faces❤😊
Fantastic! I never thought I'd ever see those two together, especially after Lonnie died. Love them both.
…..Wot !…..Lonnie looks alive here…..?
Who didn’t love Vicki? ❤.
Joe Brown came into the champagne bar in Heathrow, mid 90`s and,a long time fan,was amazed how tall he was,one big lad.
There'll NEVER be another one like him> he was a hurricane... God bless Lonnie

It does t get any better than this now that’s some party 👍👍👍
Wonderful , Lonnie paved the way or inspired many UK greats, he was a supreme entertainer .

Three great entertainers. Lonnie had a smile a mile wide.
Thanks for sharing Joe and keep em coming
He always did. I was lucky enough to see Lonnie in a local club in Adelaide in Oz forty years ago and we all had ball. Never could forget.
Brilliant to see all these three what a performence
Lots of talent and lots of smiles! Excellent performance!
Apparently Joe Brown is a very technical guitarist..
Use to be a session musician some time ago.
A wonderful group to listen to and watch
Absolutely brilliant mate 😅
Lonnie was such an inspiration to those early British rock stars.
Wow! Joe Brown , what a guitar player! 🎸

Lonnie the legend, big world wide

Always a good sign when the band look like they’re having a ball too
Wow! Had forgotten how great these guys were. Grew up with Lonnie Donigan!

A glorious trio.
So fortunate to get a ticket for his farewell tour in Eastbourne. He'll be sadly missed.I have seen every concert for so many years
This is great, so sad about Vicky.

"Wasn't That A Party" was a big hit for the Irish Rovers in Canada...
Great front three, but the whole band were fabulous and enjoying it.
I remeber the rovers doing this song as well. This is great :)
What people forget is that lonnie wrote the song i will never fall in love again sung by tom Jones.
Wow. Great version. Let’s have a heads up for writer Tom Paxton
Looks like you were all having a ball.
Great music from three great musicians, toe tapping stuff.
grand tune,,,great trio
Either side of the Atlantic, this is top drawer !!
Epic performance
Simply brilliant
Beautiful ❤️
Lonnie's wearing cuban heeled boots. They really did look good and were all the fashion in those days.
Two legends and a daughter of one,Lonnie D father of Brit pop/rock!
Since there is only one female in the clip who is Vicki Brown’s legendary father or mother?
Vicki was in The Vernons Girls, and The Breakaways. I don’t think her parents were famous though?
Happy to have worked with all 3 talented Browns. And is that my old mate Joe Fagin ("That's Living Allright") on bass there?
Hi Paul, yep that's Joe on bass & bruv Roger on lead, gud old days ☺
@@janethope-thomson5633 You're right there!
Well done 👍
What a beautiful woman Joe's wife was !!!!
Seen joe a few times him his son pete and the band have a thing called talent rare these days,
1981 that has aged well ✌🙌
Good band
Wasn't that a performance!
Isn't this song on Spotify?
Poor Vicky,died so young.
Was she married to Joe?
@@jenniferbate9682Yes..!!
At 1.35 Joe broke a string, he swung round to tell the guitarist to play the solo. If you watch closely you can see the string catching the light.
신나고 좋아요
JB and vb are brilliant
Vicki brown the business
Joe Brown was a very talented performer but never got his due in America. I always wondered why. Many lesser bands associated with the "British invasion" made it big here. Those who knew him say he was not only a great performer but a great guy as well.
WHAT cd is this on wasnt it a party

Alan Peck 🐴😁
What cd is this track on 2:54 3:09
A lively up tempo performance of the Tom Paxton song.
Vicki was a trained contemporary classical singer.
Lonnie got some collars!
Bill Scott on piano. Howard Tibble drums.
Rip Vicki taken far too early
Is that Jor's wife?
Yes, Vicki Brown.
Was that Chaz and Dave on the piano and bass? Certainly looked as though it could have been considering it was 40 years ago.
Bravi
Крутая соляга двухголосная

Wy Vicki is tidy ,i will look out for her if she comes up to hartlepool with joe
Unfortunately Vicki is no longer with us she passed away in the early 1990s
Good singers but couldn't understand a word they said. Song wasn't that good. Legends them two were.
