This scene touched me so much.
Three years ago, after watching Sing, I decided to join my country's local talent show, singing I'm Still Standing because I related to Johnny so much.
Then yesterday I went to see Rocketman, in the same theatre/cinema in which the talent show was held. First of all, I am not having a good time at all, I'm struggling with mental issues and social anxiety.
When this scene came out I almost cried, and at some point I had the impression Taron looked at me in the eye, with his face that said "I'm proud of you", while singing that song. MY song. Like he perfectly knew what I did in that stage even though he isn't even aware of my existence.
It was one of the best experiences ever.
If I ever got the chance to see him, I would hug him tight and thank him so much for what he did for me.

William Darkhölme I remember being on the theatre and this scene really got me. I’ve rewatched this scene many many times at home and I get me every times I love love the way it’s acted and the way he sings it’s perfect. I think it’s perfect until he opens the door. Instead of having like a music video moment on the beach. I would have use that moment to show the highlights of his life like: doing the soundtrack for the lion king, getting kids, getting knighted, etc. I feel to have all those beautiful epic moment with the show I’m still standing would have had a bigger message and impact. Things will get better.

Bohemian Rhapsody ending was soooo much better

    • @RequiemKingEdits
      @RequiemKingEdits 5 лет назад +11

@@devijohnson2404 well, yes and no. Bohemian Rhapsody finished off grand and epic, but it was a little rushed (biopic continuity was all over the place in that film). With Rocketman, the time we get to this point of the film, we feel like he has redeemed himself as both a person and a character. Bohemian Rhapsody, even though quite colourful, it was a black and white representation of Freddie, which made the ending seems "fine" at best, while with Rocketman, we see Elton go through heartbreak and torment throughout his entire life, without holding back. Showing him in a colourful, obscured world, having to see him go through drugs, alcoholism and sex addiction, then coming out pure and free. But by the end of the day, Rocketman gets the +1 up on Bohemian Rhapsody as it was rated R and was a musical/ fantasy based film (which would've been a better fit for someone like Freddie Mercury).

I'll never forget the Story my Dad tells me that shows truly how humble and kind Elton is. My Dad used to work for Disney and he was an early Director for "Gnomeo and Juliet" before it was passed to another Director and Dad started on a different project. While he was on the project though he and my Mom, whom had Breast Cancer, got to see Elton John at a concert in Las Vegas and had dinner with him and his partner afterward. Mom and Dad had a great time at the Concert but it was the Dinner that was extra special. Elton saw my Mom with her fragility and loss of hair and understood what she was going through. So when everyone was taking their seats around the table he made sure he sat next to her and he had many conversations with her and made sure she was comfortable. When Mom and Dad came back they told the story and she says it was one of the best nights she ever experienced. She passed away a year later. It was hard to go through but I'm happy that Elton was able to give her and the rest of us a lasting memory that she was treated like royalty by Elton John himself. If I ever get to meet him myself, I would tell him that story and tell him thank you for giving our family that gift.

When I saw the movie, my friend and I were sitting in the back..We hardly sat down for the fast songs and sang every song..I think Taron Egerton did an amazing job and for sure made Elton John proud...

I'm so happy Sir Elton John and Bernie were still alive to see this amazing biopic of their achievements and how they inspired millions of people, in and out of the music industry

The notes on the piano are:
-B flat with F Then a octave or two higher B flat with D
-B flat with G then a octave or two higher B flat with E flat
    -C with F then a octave or two higher A with C
-B flat with F Then a octave or two higher B flat with D
Or for more excitement you can play the full chords with both hands which are
    B flat major: Bflat D F
E flat major: Bflat Eflat G
    F major: A C F
    B flat major: Bflat D F
You’re welcome, also if it is incorrect let me know!

I love the acting in this. Taron pours all he's got into those lyrics. But did everyone just skip that they added him into the original music video like it's nothing? Incredible ending
